Rating: Summary: Best of the best Review: It's very difficult to pick a favourite of the wonderful Narnia books, but I think this is it. It's an exciting adventure about our Narnian heros discovering islands, each new island more magical and exotic than the previous. There is also the delightful (well, he doesn't start out that way) new character, Eustace Scrubb. I still dream that one day I can go on such an amazing voyage.
Rating: Summary: The BEST Narnia book! Review: This is by far the best Narnia bood there is. It has everything you want in a book and I FINALLY figured out [after reading the first four books] who Aslan is in our own world. In this astounding journey, Lucy and Edmund are brought to Narnia with their nasty cousin Eustace. Prince Caspain is on a voyage to find the seven lords who were sent to sea by his evil uncle Miraz. They journey through the Lone Islands and find many more unknown islands. This is my absolute favorite because of the beautiful descriptions of places. Buy this wonderful and magnificent book so you can have the pleasure of reading it.
Rating: Summary: The Most Amazing Journey of any Narnian Hero.... Review: Across the Great Eastern Sea, the Dawn Treader sails to strange islands hundreds of miles away from home. The younger two of teh Four Pevensies (Edmund and Lucy) return to Narnia with their snotty cousin, Eustace who learns a lesson or two along the way. Prince Caspian (X) returns with the crew of the Dawn Treader, seeking to reach the End of the World. This is such a hard-to-put-down book! You never know what kind of place they'll reach next! There's always something new in this book! The crew faces horrible dangers that you'll never want to miss out on. One of the best Narnia books!
Rating: Summary: My favourite Narnia book Review: This is my favourite book in the Narnian chronicles. It is justas strong and affirming as the others, but the places and stories areunusual ly beautiful and will definitely capture your imagination. The book leaves you with a sort of shimmering feeling at the end and you'll want to read it again and again.
Rating: Summary: Take A Wonderful Sea Voyage Anytime on The Dawn Treader! Review: The very begining of the story is in PRINCE CASPIAN when Miraz banished the seven Narnian Lords. (Refur to this book for a complete listing of their names.)Now, as we open this book, we find ourselves with Edmud, Lucy, their cousin Eustence, and Caspian X, on board the Dawn Treader, an amazing Narnian ship, as they try to find and rescue or find and avenge the seven banished Lords. And you'll actulally feel like you're on the Dawn Treader. Why? Because the descriptions are STUNNING, the charecters are so LIVELY, and the magic of Narnia is ten times BETTER than EVER before! Rating: Summary: The Sure BEST of Caspian's Regin As King of Narnia! Review: As you open this book, you are welcomed abord the Dawn Treader, the most wonderful ship in all of Narnia. And if you happen to have read another book (PRINCE CASPIAN: THE RETURN TO NARNIA), you may remember that Miraz banished seven Narnian Lords during his unrightful rule. This story tells of King Caspian's journey to find those seven lords, whom were sent to look for lands beyond the Lone Islands. Full of detialed descriptions, and dazzelingly rich storytelling, I would reccomend this book to anyone, at any time of life. It is best enjoyed if you have read the following books before this one: #1 THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW #2 THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE #3 THE HORSE AND HIS BOY #4 PRINCE CASPIAN: THE RETURN TO NARNIA Also, read these after to complete your Narnian experience: #6 THE SILVER CHAIR #7 THE LAST BATTLE
Rating: Summary: The Best of Caspian X's Regin Review: The very BEST of the regin of Caspian X (King of Narnia, etc.)'s regin as King. A very detialed account of the voyage of the Dawn Treader, the ship that upon are Caspian, Lucy, Edmud, and somewhat revolting cousin, Eustence Scrubb. First written as the third CHRONICLE OF NARNIA, I believe it is better read as the fifth, because of the timewise order. But the account can be read anyway wished, and the reader will still get much out of it. But I'm getting ahead of myself, so I shall slow my pace and begin where it is proper to begin--at the begining. In PRINCE CASPIAN (Book #4 new order, Book #2 old order) a false king holds Narnia's throne, and while he held it, he sent seven Narnian Lords looking for land beyond the eastern Lone Islands. To the false king Miraz's intent, none of them returned. When the true king, Caspian X, took the throne, he took an oath to set out for a year and a day to find the seven lords and bring them back to their homeland of Narnia if they are alive, or, upon finding them dead, avenging them if possibble. And this story is that story, of the voyage to find the Seven Lost Lords of Narnia, during whitch the crew encounter dragons, water that can turn anything to pure gold, merpeople, magicians, and the whole assortment of magical creatures out there in the utter east, where they not only search for the Lords, but also for Aslan's country because "where the water grows sweet, that is the utter east."
Rating: Summary: the best of narnia Review: This third volume of the Narnia Chronicles is a wonderful story of exploration and adventure. Reading it gives one a vivid feeling of being at sea, far from home and so very alone. Lewis evokes an intense sense of risk and purpose on the part of the crew of the Dawn Treader. There are of course deeper themes not far under the surface of things here, but on the simple level of a rich and entertaining children's story, this is exquisite work.
Rating: Summary: Good book! Review: This used to be my favorite in the chronicals anout Narnia. I have read it more than 20 times. I still love it and think everyone should read it. The first chapters mainly tells the story of Lucy and Edmund's horrid cousin Eustace and his transformation in to a decent human being. The rest of the book is about the journey King Caspian and his friends make to find the seven noblemen who were banished from Narnia before Caspian's time. It's exciting and wonderful and I think everyone should read all of the books in
Rating: Summary: One of my favorites Review: I thought this book was the best Narnia book. I loved all of the characters, especially Reepicheep. I wasn't particularly thrilled with the part about the Dufflepuds (I thought it was dull), but I still love this book! Everybody should read it.
