Summary: navy seals insurrection red
Review: I was very disappointed with this book...I believe that the lay out of it was set up good but the events of what was going on was really bad. I was looking for something along the lines of like seal team seven books. But this one was a big waste of time.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not as good as other SEAL stories...
Review: I've been a longtime reader of books on the SEAL Teams, both fiction and fact. While this book did have some excellent moments and the characters stayed true to themselves, I can only really give it an average grade. The writing didn't truly grab me, and the characters, at times, seemed more like cardboard cutout supermen. At times, they didn't have any depth, and seemed interchangeable with one another.
Personally, I would suggest Marcinko's Rogue Warrior and Keith Douglass' Seal Team Seven over this series. Marcinko's stories may be somewhat unbelievable and a bit egotistical, but they're fun. ST7's characters have a bit more depth to them, and do not come across as nigh invulnerable.

Summary: A New Page-Turner
Review: If you like international intrigue and slick operations, this is for you. All I ask from an adventure book is that the author know his subject and that it make me want to turn the page. Both of these score big-time with me. I really liked it.

Summary: A good Navy SEAL book!
Review: If you like the Rogue Warrior series then this is the series for you. It is packed full of action and adventure. A great read!

Summary: Teamwork
Review: Teamwork is the main focus of this book. Team and teamwork definitions changed depending on the character and the circumstances. Because of this I found it difficult to really like any of the characters.

I found Getts' final conclusions disappointing.

Was it "true to life", accurate, or "correct use of military personnel? Heck, if I know! It was a good read though.

Summary: It was a pleasure to write.
Review: The character of Bob Getts and his exec., Peach, developed a life of their own, certainly a relationship that one can only find in high-tension work. They also appear in two more books, BLACK LIGHT, coming in March, and GREEN SOLITAIRE, scheduled to appear in May or June. In BLACK LIGHT they parachute over the Mediterranean into the jet-stream from 50,000 feet to assault an ancient castle in Syria. Then in GREEN SOLITAIRE they attempt to rescue hostage being held captive 2,000 feet down in a gold mine in South Africa. I've been there, so it's real stuff. Stay with these guys.
