Summary: Last of Lioness Quartet
Review: This is the last book of the Lioness Quartet. I just saw it in a bookstore and I liked the cover. After I read it, I bought all the other books straightaway. It was so interesting. The most interesting thing about this book is Alanna. The character is not one of those perfect, encharming and weak little princesses. She's a warrior maiden, and warrior maidens - I believe - don't marry perfect, encharming and handsome princes. Look at how Jon behaved; although Alanna, too, was a bit rude. Jon would've been like a cage for Alanna if they married. Besides, Thayet was appropriate for Jon. Anyway, I'm glad Alanna married George - I'd been indignant with her sleeps with Jon from the start. George had been always understanding. I can't wait to read Trickster's Choice.
Hmm..talked too much about marriage. Duke Roger comes back from the dead - by guess who? Alanna's twin bro, Thom. The ending is kind of sad because Thom, Liam and Faithful dies. I especially disliked the part when Faithful died. There are always other books, why couldn't he come out in those? Oh well, Faithful died gallantly, all right.
Any lover of fantasy would love this book. I recommend the entire series.

Summary: To young readers...
Review: One of my favorite books of all time, hands down. Rip-roaring adventure, fascinating new characters, humor, romance, and a dramatic climax. This is a triumphant end to T. Pierce's great series. Most of the merits of this book have already been outlined here, and in greater detail. The real reason for my review is below, and be warned that it contains spoilers.

In Alanna's choice of George, Pierce illustrates a point that is, unfortunately, lost on most young readers. For my part, I know that when I was 13, the fact that Alanna ended up with George disappointed and escaped me. Over time, a few re-readings, and relationships of my own, however, the ending becomes more and more fitting.

For many years I dated a guy whom I loved with all my heart. Slowly however, I realized what a huge piece of myself I'd given to him. He had fallen for an offbeat, punk chick like myself and couldn't wrap his conservative sensibilities around it. Whenever I spoke in confidence with him about my dreams of being a freelance writer, artist, world-traveler, etc., he became very indignant - because it took time away from being with him.Every Christmas, birthday, etc. I received bland clothes and heaps of jewelery. Like Jon's intentions for Alanna, he wanted me to sit idly through life and be queen of his suburbanite castle, while my deep-seated dreams went by the wayside.

George stood by Alanna, never questioned her, always yielded his support for her adventures and who she wanted to be. Interesting how Jon's status as a prince and Alanna's first love will make young fans skim over and ignore his actions and the asinine things he says to her in book three. Jon is an a$s. They are clearly incompatible. Let go of your old fairytale notions, seek your own independence and a companion who will help you along that journey.

Summary: I don't understand some of the reviews
Review: I agree that there is no reason to complain about any of Tamora Pierces books. If there is one thing that you don't agree with think of the impact on the others. If Alanna had married Jon there would be no Trickster's Choice.

It is a definite ending to the Song of the Lioness quartet. I don't mean the story is over; it can never be over. I would say it is necessary to read them in order and it includes the climax of the series. All Tamora Peirce books are great and you can probably tell once you read one, you read the rest. The only problem with that is the next one doesn't come out until October 2004.

Summary: Definitely worth reading....again and again!
Review: I read this book back in 6th grade and loved it!! In fact I've read all of the Tamora Pierce books that have been published thus far. I highly recommend them all. But my personal favorite would definitely have to be the Song of the Lioness quartet. The books are filled with mystery, adventure, magic, friendships, and love. My favorite series happens to be the Song of the Lioness because Alanna is such an amazing, but believable character. She works hard for her goals and won't let anything in her way. Through her, the reader experiences learning new things, the trials and errors of friendships, the meaning of trust, and following your instinct. The series do a wonderous job of keeping you on your feet and has an intriguing plot. I would say the best books are the second (In the hands of the Goddess) and the final (Lioness Rampant)book in the series. No matter what, this book is definitely worth reading, everyone I know, who has read it agrees that it is a wonderful book!!

Summary: THE BEST
Review: I've read all the Tortall books and this is the best one yet! I really don't understand all those whiners who complain that Alanna should've married Jon. I mean, how could she still be a knight and the queen. And George is only 8 years older than her. No, there's people who'll whine about anything.

Summary: Really Frustrating!!!!!
Review: I first picked up Alanna at my school library right before spring break so that I would have something new to read during the two weeks. I loved it and couldn't put it down. The week we came back to school I immediately checked out the other three books, the 2nd book was great, I loved it, the 3rd was alright, the 4th, Lioness Rampant, in my opinion, was not all that great. I remember being so hooked on this series I went around for 2 days acting like a zombie. I always had one of these books with me, constantly trying to finish them. I remember when I finished Lioness Rampant, my friends and I were eating lunch in the cafeteria and I got so upset I literally threw the book across the table. I hated the ending, I think the author should have offered an alternate ending. I was so mad and depressed after that I couldn't even look at the book, my friends were afraid of giving it back to me, I suppose it was somewhat of a happy ending, but it just wasn't right for me. So if you just have to read these books, this is what I advise you to do, read the 1st and 2nd book and then forget all about the 3rd and 4th, pretend they don't even exist. Okay, there is no 3rd or 4th book. Pretend that right after the 2nd book, the prince asks her to marry him, she agrees, and they live happily ever after.

Summary: Indiffrent
Review: The action was good, but you could just go ahead and cut out half of the mushy and inappropriate parts. The Roof of the World was interesting, however.

Summary: READ IT
Review: LIONESS RAMPANT is, in my opinion, one of the best books in the series.
In a nutshell: Alanna goes to the Roof of the World to get the Dominion Jewel. She nearly freezes to death before she succeeds. In the meantime, Roger is back and nastier than ever. Somehow he's killing Thom, and Alanna is convinced that he's got soemthing up his sleeve.
Meanwhile, Jon's life is in danger from some old villians, including (gasp!) Delia, who was always in leauge with a certain someone...
And George has to face Claw, a notories rebel theif who wants to become Rogue but doesn't play fair. Jon also attempts to make George "respectable" and almost suceeds.
George still loves Alanna, but now she's off roaming with a Shang Dragon and George doesn't know what she feels about him.
The climax is at Jon's cornation as King, when old evil comes to wreak new havoc...
Can Alanna defeat her oldest and greatest enemy?
And will she ever own up to her true feelings for a certain Rogue?
