Rating: Summary: A great sequel to a great book Review: In short, I found this sequel to be equally imaginative and gripping. The plot was well set up and moved along quickly. The characters were also well developed. However, I was a bit disappointed in limited in lack of carry over of the characters from Jurassic Park. Unlike other novels by the same author, The Lost World had not as much technical content, but much more action and adventure. I do hope they make justice of the movie being released this summer. A book that can't be put down
Rating: Summary: One of the greatest books ever written. Review: This is undoubtedly Crichton's best book ever written. The sequel the masterpiece Jurassic Park, The Lost World exceeds what readers could ever hope for. When Ian Malcom takes along a scientist, an animal reasearcher, and two kids(accidentally)they set off on the journey of their lives on Hammond's dirty little secret.
Rating: Summary: It ruled Review: This is my first book that I read by Michael Crichton. I couldn't stop reading it. I recommend this book t whoever loved the movie and/or book Jurasic Park. It is a must Rea
Rating: Summary: This is a pretty good book but not as good as the first one. Review: This was a cool book and I enjoyed reading it. Michael Crichton is my favorite author. I liked the first one a little bit better, but I recommend this for somebody who is looking for a good book
Rating: Summary: BEST BOOK I'V EVER READ.AWESOME!!!!! Review: MICHEAL CRICHTON'S BEST BOOK EVER,I THINK.I HEARD THE AUDIO TAPE AND IT WAS AWESOME. MOST PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A FLOP.BUT IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!LOTS OF PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ON THE SAME ISLAND,WITH THE SAME CHARACTERS.BUT IT WASN'T. IT DID KIND OF HAVE THE SAME PLOT .BUT IT WAS STILL ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I'V EVER READ.HE SHOWED AMAZING DETAIL WHEN PEOPLE WERE GETTING EATEN AND KILLED BY RAPTORS AND OTHER STUFF.ITHINK HE DID AN AWESOME JOB ON THIS ONE. I GIVE IT A TEN
Rating: Summary: An almost perfect follow up of Jurrasic Park Review: Yes, there is a major mistake in this book. Ian
Malcolm is still alive and well. But except for that
this is still a book that will not let you put it down.
So sit back in a comfortable position, and open up. All your questions about "Well how did they
get from this step to that one and not do that" from Jurassic Park are answered. And just when you think you have seen all of what the adventure part is going to bring, THERE IS MORE! Of course who could resisit all those cute dinosaurs, and even the not cute ones. Now I can not wait for the movie. Or maybe I shouldn't go see the movie, how could it be as good
Rating: Summary: Good, but still disappointing Review: This is a good book, but not nearly as good as Jurrasic Park. The ending was very lame
Rating: Summary: A Nice Try Review: Although I was ecstatic at hearing the news that they had made the sequel to "Jurassic Park", "The Lost World" wasn't as good as the first, nor as good as I thought it would be. "The Lost World" was the same as the first, where Ian Malcolm, the only one from the first novel, again injures himself. Some of the book was interesting, such as the Dinosaur habits, and the relations between the Dinosaurs. The plot worked, and sounded like it would work into the first, but there are still so many questions to be answered; like: Where did all the employees go after the park was shut done? How did all the Dinos find there niche and survive where there was no one to teach them, as the author insinuates the adult Dinosaurs did? I just hope when they make it into a movie, they don't lose the key parts in the act of translating the story to a Hollywood script as they did with the first movie. They left out all the amazing scenes from the book to the movie. Oh well, nice try
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: REALLY GREAT! Grab it Today! Get ready for a thrill ride
Rating: Summary: Didn't get past first tape Review: I stopped listening to this book after I discovered that Ian was brought back to life. As if all the movie changes for JP weren't enough, the book sequel had to bring dead characters back to life. This bugged me so much I had to stop
