Summary: One of the most imaginative stories ever!!!
Review: This was one of my favorite books as a child. I was a little disappointed with the movie especially if it keeps people from taking the time to read the book. It is worth the read whether you are a kid or an adult. It is filled with rich imaginative imagery that was not captured by the movie. Furthermore, while the whole premise of a little Indian coming alive in a cupboard is engough to keep the story moving, this is but one of the many adventures twist which unfolds in this great story. The second book in the series is just as good but then the series tapers off a little but the first two are definately not to miss.

Summary: One of the Best Novels Ever!!!
Review: This is a fantastic novel that is highly recommended by me. In the novel, The Indian in the Cupboard written by Lynne Reid Banks, a nine-year-old boy named Omri receives a plastic three-inch indian from his friend Patrick as a birthday present. Omri was not very excited and was nonchalant about the plastic indian. He also received a cupboard from his brother Adiel and an ancient key from his mom that somehow fit the cupboard's lock.

As Omri was going to bed he was looking for something to put in his cupboard. Then he decided that the indian would be perfect to go into the cupboard. Later during the next day, he heard a weird noise coming from the cupboard. Slowly, he walked out of bed to open up the cupboard. He was shocked at what he discovered. The once-plastic indian had all of a sudden come to life.

At first, the indian was mean and wouldn't let Omri touch him. But as Little Bear(the indians name) got to know more about Omri and vice versa, they began to grow a strong, gargantuan relationship together.Omri would buy and bring Little Bear items occasionally like food, and plastic animals and people. Omri would then turn all the plastic figures into life by putting them in the cupboard and then opening them up.

But at the end, Omri decided to put Little Bear as well as his other plastic figures back in the cupboard so the once-real creatures turned back to plastic again. All in all, Omri and Little Bear had a wonderful adventure together.

If you enjoy this book, you might also want to get The Return of the Indian, The Mystery of the Cupboard, or Key to the Indian.

Thank you for reading my review!!! Your time is appreciated!!!

Summary: Great Book
Review: I really enjoyed this book.Of all the books about tiny people I've read, I like this one the best.Little Bear is comical when he tries to boss Omri around, even though Omri is 10 times his size.
The two sequals to this book were all right, though I thought they weren't as good as the first. And I didn't even bother to read The Mystery of the Cupboard and The Key to the Indian; they were a bit too weird. However, I really like the first book and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Great for people with imagination!
Review: This book was amazing! I find many books that I liked but this one's in the top ten. Lynne Reid Banks must have a lot of imagination if she is able to create a full and exciting book with a boy and an action figure.
I remember that when I was growing up I always wanted to have my toys come alive. This story is terriffic and now that I have the sequel I can't wait to read it. I also plan on reading the other books. I got the list of this series and listed it below.

The Indian in the Cupboard

The Return of the Indian (the one I'm reading)

The Secret of the Indian

The Mystery of the Cupboard

The Key to the Indian.

I plan on reading all these books in order and enjoying them from cover to cover.

Summary: Imagination of toys turning real!!!!!!!!!
Review: I like this book called "The Indian in the Cupboard" by author Lynne Reid Banks & Brock Cole illustrated this book.

At first, Omri didn't want the indian toy for his birthday from his friend Patrick. Then when he puts the toys in the cupboard Little Bear the indian comes alive & turns real.

I like this book because of a toy cowboy & his name was Boone.

Patrick could not believe Boone really shot him & it was amazing!!!!!!!

I have a cupboard made out of wood & when I put my toys in & turn the key, my toys don't turn real & I wish they would.

I would just use my imagination!!!!!!

Boone & Little Bear became friends.

This is a great book & I loved it!!!!!!!

Summary: The Return Of The Indian
Review: I hadnt read the first in this series for quite a long time so i was a bit hazy on the details. But once i started reading it i started remembering it all. It's the kind of book that you can pick up at any time and you will still be captivated and enthralled with it.
It all starts with Omri winning a writing competition that he based on his experience with Little Bull(The indian)and Boone(the cowboy). He decides that he wants to share the moment with the little indian and the cowboy. But when Omri brings the little Indian back he finds Twin Stars(Little Bull's wife)crouching over a rather solemn and ill looking LittleBull.
As it gets further into the book Omri meets up with his old friend Patrick who hed shared the secret with and who had moved away. But Patrick has tried to block out the memory of the Cupboard and the little Plastic figures. But when Omri shows him again the magic of the cupboard Patrick cannot help being caught up in the excitement.
When they bring Boone back he is still his same loud and cheeful self and Little Bull is equally pleased to be reunited with his old friend.
Patrick and Omri get into their same michief when they try to bring back more indians to help fight the war that is attacking Little Bull's Tribe.
This is the kind of book that leaves you opening keys to cupboards....

Summary: The Indian in the Cupboard Review by: Shonnette
Review: The Indian in the Cupboard is a tale of a boy who gets what he thought was just a useless, thoughtless, musky, old cupboard given to him as a birthday gift. Omri just tosses it a side and puts his plastic toy Indian which he really didn't like either inside and locks it up. Omri unlocks the small cupboard to find that the Indian has come to life. Stranger things begin to happen. Filled with secrets, danger, and magic, Lynne Reid Banks expresses how fantasy can seem like reality.

This book was okay. It had a nice story line to it and was filled with surprises,so that was good about it. This book was for someone who's ever felt different and loves fantasy and the cowboys and Indians theme. It was also about people learning how to get along with each other and how minor differences shouldn't matter, but how society lets it. It tells how people with many differences can get together and become friends.

Summary: The Indian in the Cupboard
Review: This is such a great book! At 16 my daughter still enjoys reading and re-reading this incredible journey into fantasy. It is one of those unforgettable books enjoyed by parents and children alike. The audio cassette is especailly remarkable. Read by the author herself, the cassette is read as the author intended it should come across. Overall, this book is a steal and one of the finest books in children's literature, rivaling Mathilda and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Summary: BORING!
Review: At some parts in the book I wish I was stuck in a cupboard rather than reading the book because I could find more interest in the wall of the cupboard then I found in this book. I think there should have been fight scenes because it was mostly all talk. There were only a few scenes where there was a major problem and the only cool part was when the cowboy and the indian got in a fight other than that the book wasnt that exciting. Although when he took the indian to school that was also a exciting scene.

Summary: This book was OK....
Review: This Book is OK because it's funny and interesting. It was sad because the boy started crying at the end of the book when the indian left him. I don't know what else to say about the book except that it was good. I would recommend this book to other kids.
