Summary: OUTSTANDING! The only rival to "The Clan of the Cave Bear"
Review: This book is as good as the first one. I don't think a sequel could of been written better. Read ALL the books in the series. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: One of the best books I've read!
Review: The Valley of Horses is about two people, and pretty much every other chapter it switches back and forth between them. The two people are a man, Jondalar, and a woman, Ayla. The story takes place during the Ice Age, and you can tell that the author did a lot of research. I would recommend it to anyone who likes books about prejudice, because that's a little bit what it is about. I would give it 4 stars.

Summary: Great for girls who don't know what to expect as a woman.
Review: Ayla our young cavegirl has grown into a beautiful woman and has no idea! Whinny helps ease her pain in loosing Durc, her son, and Baby is a wonderful help in supplying food as well as company. When Johndalar's brother falls to his lioness he and Ayla are thrown together and are an excellant couple from the begining, before I tell all about this most wonderful book I must say that I hope there is more after the Plains of Passage, Jean hear my plea!!!! I'm hanging on by a thread!!! Tell me morre!! I'm only 14 and this series has helped me understand my womanhood alot better. I thank you and,if only more young ladies would read these books they would have a better understanding of themselves,Thank You Jessica

Summary: I enjoyed this book enormously
Review: I enjoyed this book enormously, and have read it over thirteen times! I think the thing I like about it the most is the facts, and the research that was obvoiusly done to make it. I found the plot enthralling, and the characters well developed. I just wish Jean Auel would write the fifth book faster!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A very interesting and suspensful book
Review: I have read all the books in the Earth's Children Series, and, no matter what some critics say, thought they were all outstanding. Some people say there is too much detail, but I think that Auel is extrordinary for adding detail and setting the scene. I have heard that Auel is deathly ill, and fine in her phisical nature. I have heard that Auel gave up on the sereies, and that she is almost done with he fith book. So, Jean, get better, stay healthy, reconsider, and keep on writing

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not as good as The Clan of the Cave Bear
Review: I absolutely loved The Clan of the Cave Bear. I could not put it down. But I was somewhat disappointed with The Valley of the Horses. It was a bit long and drawn out and even boring at times. I kept waiting and waiting for her to meet Jondalar. The fact that Jondalar's life revolved around his "manhood" seemed really silly to me. The sex was a bit overdone...worse than a Harlequin romance novel if you ask me. I'm not sure if I want to go on to the next book in the series.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Ayla found her self after being cursed by the Clan.
Review: I have read all of the books in this series and I really loved them. These books bring the feeling of ancient knowledge to the readers.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Have seen better
Review: The Clan of the cave bears is a great book, I could not put itdown while reading it. Then I started reading this book. I wonder if the same person wrote these two books ! The book started alright, then Ayla met jondalar, and the rest of the book was about sex.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Still The Best!!!!
Review: I think some of these people giving reviews were hit in the head with rocks *G*. But they have a right to their opinions. As do I. I think in all of the four books Ms. Auel has written, she did a superb job. I am not sure what others expected to happen in this book? But I thought it was wonderful.

I liked it because it was strongly written, it gives you a sense of Ayla's inner strength. It shows you how she deals with loneliness. How she deals with her grief, and anger. And most importantly how she is able to come to terms, and deal with her fate, of first being alone, and then facing a people that she doesn't understand.

I would give this book a ten if I could as I would with all the others Ms. Auel has written.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Mostly fluff.
Review: I read and re-read Clan of the Cave Bear. I have to say I'm disappointed in all the following books. It looks like Jean caved in to pressure from her agent to make it more... gripping? But instead, it just seems cheap.
