Rating: Summary: The third one's a charm (...sorry I couldn't resist) Review: I just finished reading the third installment of the Harry Potter series. It took me a few months to get through it, as I was only reading a chapter here and there between other books that I had going at the same time. Like sneaking little pieces of candy between meals.I read the first book last summer and really had a good time with it. Then I read the second in the fall and was surprised that I liked it even better. The third starts off pretty slow, and I thought the story had hit its zenith in number two, but the end of this one really picks up, rising to equal heights of joyous storytelling . Rowling give us more of the back-story of Harry's parents in this one, and it just makes you hungry for more. I'm looking forward to tackling the large fourth volume sometime soon so I can be ready for the fifth whenever it comes out.
Rating: Summary: WHAT AN ENDING! Review: I just finished reading this book and what an ending! You'll never guess who the bad guy, or thing is! If you've read the first two Harry Potter books you have to continue with this one. You'll be glad that you did.
Rating: Summary: Absoultly Wonderful! Review: I just finshed reading "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azakban" for the second time in order to catch up for the new book on July 8th it is the best book I have ever read in my entier life! The last few chapters were amazing I was on the edge of my seat I wanted to scream even though I had read it before the second time was better! It is amazing the way J.K Rowling really pulls you into the story and makes you feel right in the middle of it all, you feel what Harry and the other charcters feel it is amazing! Everyone should read this book!
Rating: Summary: The best HP book. Review: I just loved the books. I have read it so many times, just for these two great characters, Lupin and Black. Rowling has very cleverly introduced these tragic and solitary figures in her otherwise cosy magic world. Lupin is lovely, and so is Black. I hope that Lupin appears again , he is too good to be wasted.
Rating: Summary: Three time's a charm! - Part 2 Review: I just thought of some extra points to add. This is my second review . . . I read Book 3 twice in one day, consistently laughing and crying. In reading the 682 reviews of the previous HP books, my heart nearly burst - any book that so inspires us "muggles" is undoubtedly some sort of miracle. J.K. Rowling's writing makes me proud to be a human (even if I am of non-magic variation) -The somewhat obsessive 15-year old fan
Rating: Summary: Wow Review: I know a lot of people are like, those books are for babys, about wizards, but i really thought it was awesome. All the charactors are cool and all the people I talk to love it. Its really worth getting
Rating: Summary: The best yet! Review: I know some people like myself end up saying that the latest book they read was their favourite. Well, I truly believe this was the best of the Harry Potter books. Everything is not what you expect it to be. Hermione has a secret of her own that you keep guessing about and you would never have guessed what really was happening. And why was Sirius Black really muttering "He's at Hogwarts..." in his sleep? Harry finds out what happened the night of his parents' murder. He finds more about who he is and there was a surprising twist with the characters positions in this story in the last maybe 30 pages of the book. You would NEVER have guessed who was really an enemy. It really blew me away why Sirius wanted into Hogwarts so badly... Another thing that was good about this, the 3rd in the series of Harry Potter books, was something that I noticed right away...it was thicker! That's always a good thing when you're reading an awesome book, eh? I can't believe how great this book was. Even though I say I like it better than the other 2, that doesn't mean that I don't love them, too. I think you should read the others before you read this one although Rowling fully explains what's going on. But the thing is, this book might spoil some of the things that happened in the first and second ones for you if you read them afterward so if you haven't read the first 2, I'd reccommend you do before you read this one.
Rating: Summary: Duh, five stars! Review: I know there is already over a thousand reviews but I just hadto say something. Harry is back in Hogwarts for his third year andnow there is an escaped prisoner searching for him! Sirius Black killed 13 people with a single curse and now he is after Harry. BUT Harry's trouble doesn't end there. Hermione has recently bought an ugly cat called Crookshanks who is after Ron's pet rat Scabbers. As Crookshanks continues to chase Scabbers, their friendship is wearing thin. AND that's not all. Professor Trelawney, the Divination teacher, is totally convinced that Harry's life will end very, very soon. I have read this book over 30 times (It's probably more than that but I'm not sure how many times it really is) and I still find it to be a new and intriguing story every time I pick it up, unlike most books that are spoiled once you read them once. If I could, I would rate this book five gabazillion stars. J.K., if you read this, I give you TWO THUMBS UP!
Rating: Summary: This is a great book. Review: I like Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, (don't know how to make underline)because the mystery goes in one direction, so they suspect someone, then they discover something else and they start suspecting another person. Also, I like mysteries. It is about a boy who goes to Hogwarts and something starts turning people to stone. Harry, Ron, and Hermione have to find out what's causing this uproar and turmoil.
Rating: Summary: Great book. Review: I like the book a lot. I'm 12 years old and I've been waiting for another book to come out for a long time. I bought the Chamber of Secrets the day it came out and finished that night. Great book. =)
