Summary: Visualisation and Fantasy at its best
Review: My first visit into the world of Harry Potter, I was extremely impressed.

The magical ride that J.K. Rowling describes leads one's imagination to explore new depths. The visualisations are beautifully constructed and fast paced. It is therefore not unexpected that the book received such high acclaim this year.

Pure entertainment. Highly recommended to all, especially the fantasy lover.

Summary: I love all the Harry Potter books but this one is best.
Review: My forth grade teacher told me about the Harry Potter books. I started them and read them all quite quickly. Harry Potter ane Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite. The most amazing and exciting thing happens in the end. No one would expect it to happen. I like all the mystery and cleverness in it. I think every ten year old girl (or boy) should read it. I have read them all 3 times and enjoy all the imagination and details. Every child should have a chance to read it, no matter how old they are.

Summary: Really unbelievable
Review: My granddaughter came to visit me this summer and her first words after she got off the plane were: "May we go to the library and get the Harry Potter books? I've read all but the last chapter of the first book." I hadn't heard about them but we went and found that there was a waiting list for both book 1 and 2. Couldn't disappoint my granddaughter so ordered both of them from Amazon and placed an order for book 3 when it came in. I have never been a sci-fi lover but was an avid reader of the Oz books when I was a child so half heartedly decided to read Harry Potter and the Scorcer's Stone after Laurel finished. By the time she had finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets I was standing in line---all before the rest of the family could get their hands on the books. Now I have finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and ready to mail it off to my granddaughter. There will be a standing order for the 4th book as soon as Amazon lists it. What fun! I have started other grandmothers into the sending the books to their grandkids, too. So from this 72 year old grandma---keep the books coming. I am going to watch "60 Minutes" tomorrow night as I understand J.K. Rowling will be interviewed at that time.

Summary: CAN'T WAIT TILL THE NEXT ONES COME OUT!!!!
Review: My Grandma sent me the First Harry Potter book when it first came out. It was the BEST book I ever read. I couldn't wait till the next came out, then it was awsome too. Then the third came out and It was great just like the first and second one. It's a very exciting book. Now that I'm in seventh grade, I am worried by the time the others comes out I won't have the time to read it. But I hopfully will be able to find some time. The Harry Potter series is what really got me to start reading. Before that I would rather watc T.V. or do something else but I have read a lot of books since the first. I can't wait till the fourth Harry Potter book comes out, but it will be worth the wait.

Summary: Another 30+ year old Harry fan!
Review: My hubby gave me this book for Christmas as I enjoyed the other two so much. I can't really add much to what the other reviewers said, but I can tell you that the conclusion of the book is so exciting that I was up till midnight finishing it (and I'm usually a 10 o'clock turn-in!). I just couldn't put it down.

Harry, Ron and Hermione's exploits in this book were just as entertaining - if not more so - as in the previous two books.

It never ceases to amaze me the depth of Ms. Rowlings imagination! The different kinds of sweets, all of the different types of spells and magical creatures...just delightful!

Wonderful...just wonderful!

Summary: Not just for kids...
Review: My husband & I both loved these books. At first, he was a little self-conscious about reading them on the train until he realized he wasn't alone. The creativity & excitement of the stories keep us riveted. Let's hope we get to see Harry all the way through school!

Summary: Even parents can enjoy reading the Harry Potter series
Review: My husband and I began reading Harry Potter books aloud to our children in the evenings as part of a "turn off the tube" campaign at school. I am proud to say that this is a tradition that will not end. Even we parents enjoy the compelling and well written stories about Harry Potter and believe that other families could benefit from reading aloud this series. I sincerely hope that many more books come to follow from this talented author so that we can continue to spend this time together each and every day, all of us intrigued by the same story.

Summary: Great for all ages!
Review: My husband and I read them out loud together. The only reason we didn't tear through them was that we were trying to make them last as long as possible. I really recommend reading them out loud and sharing the fun. You'll have someone to laugh with, especially at the very end of Prisoner of Azkaban when Harry informs his uncle about Harry's godfather. ENJOY!

Summary: GREAT READ-ALOUD
Review: My kids and I have read all three books aloud and all of us have enjoyed every one. "The Prisoner of Azkaban", we had to read the last five chapters in one day because my children did not want me to put it down. This is very different, because we only read one chapter a night. We started reading these books when they were 9 and 10. Now they are 10 and 11. We love these books because they transport you to a different time and place and the people seem so alive. You have got to read these books.
