Summary: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Review: J.K. Rowling has created another marvelous work in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Each book in this series is definately a "can't put it down." The plot thickens with each twist and turn, making it much more complicated than the Hogwarts School itself. Harry demonstrates his own brand of bravery, while the character of Professor Dumbledore provides many truths that can help each of us, within the story or not, feel good about ourselves for each of the gifts we possess. This book is full of mysteries and is intriguing to the very end. Just when you believe you know what's going to happen next, you will find you've been led down yet another mysterious passageway. Grab your thinking cap and head into this third work of J.K. Rowlings, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed! As an adult I had great fun with this book, as a teacher I found that Rowling is an expressive writer with a flair for using logic and mystery to hook her readers and keep them coming back for more. Ban these books? Absolutely NO WAY! I can't wait for the next Harry Potter book to hit the shelves!

Summary: Brilliant
Review: J.K. Rowling has done it again! I'm 15, and I just love the Harry Potter books. (I'm must say that Fred and George Weasley are two of my favorite characters) I don't think that there's anything evil with these books. Some people don't like them because there's witchcraft. There's no serious magic done in these books. The "witchcraft" almost isn't witchcraft. It's like Star Wars with the good side and the bad side of the Force. Harry Potter is on the good side of wizardry, whereas Voldemort has gone bad. I don't hear anyone trying to ban Star Wars, and I don't want anyone to try to ban Harry Potter from the schools. I highly recommend these books to everyone!

Summary: Wonderfully imaginative and brilliant!
Review: J.K. Rowling has done it again! The first two books of the series were great, but The Prisoner of Azkaban is Rowling's best yet. Wonderfully imaginative and completely detailed, Rowling has created a literary world so complete that you can imagine yourself as a young wizard/witch and yearn to no longer be a "muggle"!

Harry once again must "save the day," but this time there is more danger, more shadows lurking in the dark, and more reasons to not be able to put the book down! Between working and the other necessities of life, I finished this book in one day. Quite an easy read and an enjoyable one at that! Great for young imaginations and wonderful at making the grown-up ones feel young again.

Summary: Wow! This one was even better than the others!
Review: J.K. Rowling has done it again! This new book is absolutely wonderful. It's great for all ages, not just kids, and is just so much fun. The ending is very unexpected and the story is suspenseful. The plot is very detailed and once again we learn more about Harry's past and see him escape great peril. I can't wait for the next book!

Summary: Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban
Review: J.K. Rowling has done it again. It is Harry's 3rd year at Hogwarts and Sirius Black is after him. Sirius has escaped from Azkaban and has traveled to Hogwarts to finish the plan of his master, You-Know-Who. Meanwhile Wood, the Gryffindor's Quidditch captain, is getting his team ready for the season. It is Wood's last year and he is out to win the cup. But the only problem is the Slytherin's team. The Slytherin's team has been unbeaten for a long time.

This time (I am glad to say) Harry and Ron did not miss the train as they did in the second book in the series. In the train Harry found a cabin for Ron, Hermione, and Harry to talk, but the only problem was the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher was sleeping in there. They figured since he was sleeping and it was the only cabin left he would not mind. After Harry told them about Sirius Black, the train stopped. Harry thought it was to early for them to be at Hogwarts. It was the dementors; they were boarding the train. The dementors are guards from Azkaban. The reason they were boarding was because they were going to guard Hogwarts.

Since it was Harry's 3rd year he could go to Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade it like a wizard mall. It has shops for everything. But, the only probelm was Harry had not gotten his perrmisson slip signed so he could not go. You know Harry, he found a way to go to Hogsmeade and not get caught.

Harry has a busy year; he has to save himself and Hogwarts (once again), he has to help win the Quidditch cup, and he has to try not to get caught at Hogsmeade and avoid Malfoy. Malfoy has been Harry's arch enemy since the first day at Hogwarts. Harry still has a lot of tricks up his sleave this year.

I love this book. I like how J. K. Rowling writes. I think she is a wonderful writer. I think the best part about this book is how Harry's friends and Harry's teacher help him through all his troubles.

Summary: A Richer, Darker, More Astounding Story
Review: J.K. Rowling has done what very few writers have done: Created a series in which each book is better than the last. (And the first one was pretty darn good!) I haven't read the fourth book and nobody (as far as I know) has read the fifth, but I am confident that the best is yet to come.

Right from the start, you get the feeling that Harry is about to go through some pretty serious changes. He's thirteen now and is not going to take any stuff from anybody, especially not the Dursleys. But Harry's new teenage confidence takes a hard hit when he discovers that Sirius Black, who was directly responsible for the death of Harry's parents, has escaped from Azkaban. And he's headed for Hogwarts.

Of course the entire gang is back: Friends Ron, Hermoine, Hagrid...enemies Malfoy, Snape...and a few new faces as well. But will they be friendly, or not?

The third Harry Potter installment, like the first two, is a very well written, entertaining book. But in this book, Rowling addresses some very serious issues; loyalty, morality, death, and more. The tone is darker and richer than in the previous books, making the reader wonder if this is really written for kids or adults? Or both?

If you've read the first two books, prepare yourself for something different, but something satisfying. If you haven't, don't start here. Start with the first one, move to the second one, then pull up a chair, sit down, and immerse yourself in 'The Prisoner of Azkaban.'

Summary: A magnificent book of witches and wizards.
Review: J.K. Rowling has woven yet another Harry Potter book. It is the longest yet at over three hundred-fifty pages, but that hasn't discouraged many young readers. It is a book that has very interesting charactors and a great plot.
