Summary: Harry Potter
Review: The Harry Potter books have to be the best books I have ever read. They are captivating and leave me counting down the months until the next book is released. You definitly won't be disapointed!

Summary: a great book but...
Review: This is a great read and a wonderful instalment in the Harry Potter series.

However, it is a book in dire need of editing. Not only are there some well documented factual and chronological errors, the book is also a bit puffy and long-winded in places. It could have lost 50 pages or so without impacting on the story.

Summary: Yes!
Review: In the fourth installment of one of the most popular sereis of all time, Harry Potter, boy wizard has an adventure that will turn his life around. A fourteen year old, Harry looks forward to going to the Quidditch Cup, an allstar wizard quiddditch game with his best friends, Ron and Hermione. He wants to dream about his crush and be a normail wizard. Harry Potter isn't normal, he's different and different in his case can be deadly.

Ms. Rowling lives up to the success of her previous books, taking a darker turn as the sereis progresses! Harry fans, you won't be disappointed!!

Summary: Wonderful!!!
Review: I have read all four of J.K. Rowlings Harry Potter books. I have never enjoyed books more. I read a lot and I enjoy reading juvenile books, I find them a better escape sometimes than the books for adults. It is refreshing. I loved her characters, and I find that they make me look foward to going to the bookstore and seeing if there is a new book out.
I am 20 yrs. old and I am a very picky reader, I only finish about 50% percent of the books I start, but from the time I picked these books up I couldn't put them down for a second, which has caused a lot sleepless nights and late bedtimes!!!!!!!

Summary: Intense!
Review: In this, the fourth Harry Potter book, Harry finds to his horror that Lord Voldemort is gaining strength, and attempting to return. He returns to Hogwarts, filled with foreboding. It is announced that Hogwarts will be hosting the Triwizard Tournament, a dangerous competition between three magic schools, but open only to those seventeen and older. So, how did Harry get selected as the fourth contestant? It seems that someone wants Harry to die in the tournament, but who?

I have read the first three books of this series, and enjoyed them immensely. This book is just as entertaining and well written as the others, but has a much higher level of intensity. Indeed, last night I could not put the book down, but had to keep reading until I finally reached the conclusion (in the wee hours of the morning)! This is a book that is quite literally impossible to put down.

This book is more intense than the others, and there are deaths, so is it inappropriate reading material for young readers? I don't think so. As long as the reader realizes what he or she is getting themselves into, I don't think that this book is more than a young reader can handle.

So, I would say that this book easily deserves the five stars that I have given it. I recommend it to all readers, young and old alike!

Summary: Exceptional Reading!
Review: My mother asked me to read the first Harry Potter book, as she was trying to get my nephew to read it. He is 9 years old... and his mother thought the books were satanic in nature. I am 31 years old, and I read the first three books in two days, I couldn't put them down. There is nothing satanic about these books, and they encourage the use of a child's imagination. I urge every parent out there that hasn't read the Harry Potter books, to please read them and judge for yourself, rather than listen to what other people think about the books. They are really wonderful reads.

Summary: Very Cute... if your 11
Review: Alright.. i've read all four of these books and theyre all cute in an extremely juvenile sense...
I prefer books that make you think about them.. but you can guess your way through these books too easily.
The characters, too.. are unchanging.
I find Harry and Ron to be stereotypically mean.. and i do wish Rowling would come up with something new for Malfo and Dudley to do to Harry..And i wish Hermione'd do something wrong.
I would say if your looking for something truly complicated but youve read all of the real classic Fantasies you should really try the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.

Summary: I was gipped!
Review: First, let me state: I am a firmly devoted Christian and I loved all 4 books. I have heard that it is "antichristian" and that it "teaches magic." This is absurd! Most books are written these days either by nonchristians or people who feel that the particular story does not focus on religious questions. Many people probably avoid the subject to avoid controversy. Personally I believe that many "Christian" fantasy books should be placed with other fantasies. After all, so far as I've seen, just because the story was set up around THE God instead of some make-believe god from the author's own mind doesn't affect the plot. Simply because she avoided the subject doesn't mean she's against it.
Next, I must say I am 18, a Senior, and I loved this book. I felt myself identifying with the characters, since I'd gone through that terrible age myself. The simplicity of the writing and characterization does not take from the storyline, and is actually a bit of a relief after hours of Heart of Darkness and Canterbury Tales. I definitely enjoyed having something to read that remained blunt, clear, and relaxing.
I must say, though, I feel somewhat gipped. Rowling leaves us with so many questions: What does Cho think of Harry? Does he stand a chance? What will become of Ron & Hermione? Is there any way to stop Voldemort? There was some small resolution to some of these problems, but there isn't even a momentary eye contact to see into the character of Cho. We have so many unanswered questions, and what does Rowling do? She takes a break! She stops writing! The fifth book won't be coming out for months, and I'm left hanging! J.K. Rowling, hurry please.

Summary: Rowling on top and Dale on the bottom
Review: Excellent story, of course. The narration, however, is annoying. I am eager to hear Stephen Fry's rendition (British version). He is a terrific actor/comedian, and I can't imagine his performance would leave much to be desired. Unfortunately, this is not the case for Jim Dale.

Summary: Gee, who hasn't given this five stars?
Review: Let's just see. Like many Potter fans all over the world, I am in love with fantasy. My interests are fantasy books, anime and manga. I, of course, LOVE Harry Potter in a fanatical way. So that this doesn't turn into a profile of me -_- I'll start the review. Book IV didn't disappoint me! It was riveting and I spent the whole day reading it. This is Harry Potter's biggest adventure so far! Read it, and I highly recommend Sabriel and Lirael by Garth Nix and the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. Gbye! ~Usagi-Bunny
