Rating: Summary: what happened to the wonderful simplicity of books before? Review: Although I do love the Harry Potter series and think it is a GREAT way to spark childrens' (and adults'!) imagination, I have to admit that I feel greatly dissapointed by this particular book. The other books were great as well, but I still feel that the first book is the best, and the longer J.K. Rowling makes her books, the worse they get and the less imaginative and more scary they get. I hope that the new book (I also am dissapointed it has taken so long and still there is no word of a new book) is not as long and features the key simplicity of the first book.
Rating: Summary: good, but Review: i enjoyed reading this story, and am happy that Rowling made it longer. the characters are enjoyable to follow and a longer story just made it even better. i am a fast reader, and were it short, i would have finished it too quickly. i give it only four stars because it does feel like she has already used up her imaginative stuff in the first three and now is beginning to repeat her stuff. it may be that she was rushed into finishing this book. we'll see if a pattern holds up once we get the fifth book out.
Rating: Summary: For he's a jolly good fellow! Review: After reading all the books, I was exited to be reading the 4th book! I was very intrigued by the cover. So,(as you may have guessed)I was even more exited when I started reading!! I have discovered that in the course of the books it gets more scary so BE PREPERED!!! It was very enjoyable and I hope you read it. And after I read it, I went and 1st. listened to the tapes and 2nd. went to see the movie! I hope you will love this book as much as I did!!
Rating: Summary: Astounding Review: In this new book, we start off with Harry having a dream about a chilling tale involving a murder in a small town with links to Voldemort himself, but is it all just a dream? After attending the Quidditch World Cup with his friends, Harry returns to Hogwarts and learns that an interscholastic tournament that has been banned for centuries will be started up again, with Hogwarts hosting. Each school will have a champion selected by the Goblet of Fire, which will choose the most worthy student from each school. However, something goes wrong, and it chooses four students instead of three, the fourth being Harry. Bound by magical code to stay in the tournament, Harry is forced to take on challenges that are deemed to difficult for anyone under a sixth year in school. Things are going well until the last event, when something unexpected happens, and Harry witnesses one of the most horrible things imanginable... For the fourth time, Rowling provides us with a great story, great laughs, and an overall great time.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Just purely and simply excellent, a must-read. Long praise to J.K Rowling, Harry Potter and his students friends (except Malfoy of course).
Rating: Summary: A very Intriguing adventure book Review: My book was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was a good book. It was exciting, cool, fun to read, very adventurous. It was about a kid named Harry Potter who is a wizard. Harry was mysteriously entered into a contest at his school, which is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizard. In the contest there are three challenges. There are points awarded to the challenger that does the best in the challenge. The challenger with the most points after the three challenges wins. I would suggest this book to anybody that likes adventures.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Book Review: I loved this book! I thought it was the best one so far in the series.I loved the ending and was very suprised when I found out that Mad-Eye wasn't really Mad-Eye. I have one problem though. When is the fifth book coming out! I've been waiting for about 20 months now, I can't stand it.I also thought that 1,2,+ 3 were excellent books too.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: Well worth waiting for! Full of magical moments which we could all use a little more of; however, most importantly, this chapter in Harry's life is filled with more challanges and the obvious struggle between good and evil once again assures us the battle is worthwhile. It is such a pleasure to have Harry Potter and his world told to us by a very talanted and sensitive author, J.K. Rowling. Thank You!!!!
Rating: Summary: J.K. Rowling does it again Review: J.K. Rowling has done it again! Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is definitely a great read, and is worth your time and energy. J.K. has stunned people with her latest installment to the Harry Potter series! The twists and turns to this story were absolutely amazing. J.K. is a great writer with very special abilities who has the probibility that she will turn out to be one of the best writers of out time. In my opinion Harry Potter will end up as a timeless classic. It was a great book. I am sure that I am not the only one that cannot wait to see what J.K. has in store for us next time.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE by J.K. Rowling Harry, Ron, and Hermione are at it again in the fourth book of the series. Harry lives with the Dursleys on Private Drive in the Muggle world. A muggle is a wizard word for non-wizard. One lucky day he gets a letter from Ron inviting him to stay with them and go to the Quiditch World Cup. This is the chance of a life time as Harry is a great fan of quiditch and is on the Hogwarts team. He accepts the offer graciously and goes to the Cup. He has the time of a life time but suddenly while he is there, there's a giant demonstration of Death Eaters(followers of the evil wizard Voldmort) that gets nasty. He runs into the woods as to shelter himself from getting hurt when the Dark Mark appears in the sky. This could only mean one thing. Voldmort is back! After the Cup with much very much excitement it's time to go back to Hogwarts. When he gets there everyone seems to be talking about something very special that would be taking place this year. He tries to investigate further but no one who knows will tell him what it is. All he knows is that the Quiditch team will not be taking place this year. How could they! To be taking away Harry's quiditch the surprise better be very ,very good. When it is time to find put what the surprise is, he is introduced to the Goblet of Fire. It is a magic goblet that can see who is most worthy of the special event. Finally the surprise is unveiled. It is a Triwizard Tournament! The tiwizard tournament is where a wizard from each school a representative competes for their schools reputation. But what? Harry cant enter the tournament? It is only for people older then him! Now what's he going to do. This is very disappointing as the winner would receive 1000 galleons prize money(that would be about five- thousand-ten-thousand dollars )! When it is time to hear who is representing Hogwarts, as disappointed as Harry is something very unexpected happened. Even though there's only supposed to be one representative from each school two were chosen for Hogwarts and Harry is one of them! People have died in this but is death worth the risk for the money? Well he has no choice but to compete in this Tournament for his school What will happen? Will he come out safe? Is there anything Ron or Hermione can do to help? You will keep guessing and guessing in this mistery/adventure book who is the bad guy? Who did that? I can recommend that anyone from child to adult will enjoy reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, by J.K Rowling.
