Summary: Deaths and Dates
Review: Harry Potter and his wizard friends are back for their fourth year at Hogwarts School. A special tournament is taking place and Harry, though ineligible, is one of the players. He and the other players must face three thrilling challenges during the school year. Will he master them or will he be killed trying? Who entered his name in the tournament and why?

The beginning and ending of this story are very exciting and scary (Voldemort cruelly kills people). There is a very funny chapter concerning Harry, Ron, and Hermione's first dates (gasp!) for the Yule Ball. This book truly has it all...lots of exciting characters and action, as well as the great chemistry between Harry, Ron, and Hermione. This deep affection and loyalty they share is the heart of all HP books, and it is what makes us care so much about them. After 700+ pages, you'll want more! This is the best of the Harry Potter books so far!

Summary: WoW!
Review: I started reading the Harry Potter series after seeing the movie (Sorcerer's Stone), and I'm absolutely hooked. All 4 books have been amazing, but book 4 (Goblet of Fire) is by far the best one I've read yet. The characters are superb in the way they all tie in to the story, and this book reveals a lot more about who is who and who is connected to you know who, and why he who must not be named is ... well ... I shouldn't say. Just read it. Trust me!

Summary: Rowling does it again
Review: The forth book, and four times better than when we started with Harry Potter. It's amazing how drawn in so many people can be to a set of books, and how well the author can please us each time. I think we're all ready for the fifth one by now, though!

Summary: Harry's Goblet of Fire
Review: This Harry Potter book was more adult and I loved it. As a 22 year old Harry lover, I am more proof that Harry spills over to all ages. The twists and turns were like none I was expecting. Just when you think that Rowling must have used up her imagination, she spoils us again with her innovation. The Tri-Wizard Tournament was so much fun. I feel like that I am learning the spells along with Harry and that one day I will be able to DO them myself. I wish there really was a Hogwart's that one could attend, even if I am a Muggle.
Mad-Eye Moody was great, and when Mad-Eye was not (really) around he was still in Character. That is, when he was being impostered. I suppose the poly-juice took on characteristics too.
And, Dobby was back!!!! Winky, too, who ended up being evil - termendously exploited by Rowling's explosive words. I love Dobby, and the things that he comes out with. I hope that Dobby will be a central character in the later books.
I've read all four books and look forward to Harry starting his fifth year, more of Dobby and Sirius. I think that him starting to take OWLS will also be an adventure in itself.
The forth book was a delight and I loved it. For all Harry lovers.

Summary: The Goblet of Fire is Smokin'!
Review: In Harry Potter's fourth and most daring adventure "The Goblet of Fire", J.K. Rowling leads us in a suspensefull journey that leaves us guessing. Harry Potter, now a much more mature 14 year-old, has his most deep and violent encounters, confrontations with his friends, and his first crush. This is by far my most favorite year at Hogwarts, so far. I love the way Harry has the competitions, the ball, and his crush on Cho Chang. It seems, at last, that Harry might have some real-life "muggle" problems, but of course he handles them in a way only a wizard could. The novel starts with all these events, starting off light-hearted and leaving us with excitement for the adentures to come. Little did we know, that the characters would take a turn for the worst. Harry undergoes dangerous tasks, nightmares that leave his scar hurting, and an encounter with his deadly nemesis. This is by far the most deep and violent confrontation with his arch-enemy, Voldemort, resulting in the death of a classmate and the unvailing of the Death Eaters. It also uncovers the underground secrets of the Ministry of Magic and the true pasts of faculty members and high members of the Ministry. I most enjoy Rowling's use of foreshadowing to tie all these events together and give us clues to what just might happen. Foreshadowng is the use of events and symbols in order to give us a preiew on what is next to come. Rowling uses this literary device most diligantly. For example, when Winky, Mr. Crouche's house elf, saves a seat for him at the Quidditch World Cup. Crouch's failure to show up and the mystery of where he was and why he wasn't there foreshadows Mr. Crouch's dissapearence later on and Winky's role in it. Another example is Harry's dream about the snake. This foreshadows Voldemorts use of the snake in his encounter with Harry. I most enjoy Rowling's use foreshadowing, mostly because it gives a glimpse into the ending and the dangerous events to come. I think Rowling's use of this literary device strengthens the novels story-line and is employed well. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I hope, is not the best we'll see from J.K Rowling, but is right up there in the top, oh I don't know, three. I thorougly enjoyed this book and I would definantly reccomend it anyone who loves a fairytale with heart. Also, to anyone who is willing to stay up all hours of the night just becuse they couldn't put it down.
