Summary: They Keep Getting Better and Better. . .Worth Every Penny!
Review: EVERYONE SHOULD BUY THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS! I think the threebefore "Goblet of Fire" were fast-paced and quite simply, the best books I have ever read. This new book is no exception. The 734 pages make for more fantastic details, surprises, and more reading of this fabulous series. A lot of new characters are introduced, as well as your favorite old ones and the excitement and mystery is still there, creating an atmosphere unequaled in book history. There is a new idea, a tournament with other wizarding schools, which of course provides more ways for adventure for Harry and his pals. The climax is startling and there are numerous surprise endings, like in all Harry Potter books. Harry even starts to discover girls, and if you like Quidditch, the Quidditch World Cup chapter is smack around the start of the book. I got this book at midnight at a bookstore, and started this morning. Only taking a few shorts breaks, I read the afternoon away. I could not put it down and just finished it. Now I can't wait for the fifth one! To all Harry Potter fans, buy the book. If you've never read Harry Potter, get out of your cave and buy this book, as to not miss the best series in the entire world. I can't really give my real rating, because the largeness of the number would take up to much space. Just do yourself the biggest favor possible and BUY "HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE"!

Summary: AMAZING!
Review: Another WOW for J.K Rowling! I thoroughly enjoyed and loved this book. The end was terribly thrilling and imaginative and it really sunk its teeth into the story!

Summary: Excellent.
Review: The Goblet of Fire, in my opinion, is one of the better stories the Potter series has to offer. While nearly twice as long as one of the previous books, Rowling has a gifted enough vision to ensure that every page is justified.

One of the things for which I admire Rowling is her apparent refusal to allow success to change her style. This book could easily have become a commercialized hack job, made for no better purpose than selling merchandise. Instead, Rowling remains vigilant; Goblet amuses, frightens, and even saddens, but it never disappoints.

Summary: Worth the wait
Review: The countdown is over, and I'm happy to say that Book 4 in the Harry Potter saga was worth every day of the wait. Harry's growing up, and so are Ron and Hermione (I finally learned how to pronounce her name--I'd been reading it wrong).

I don't want to give anything away, so I'll just mention that the plot contains the usual set of surprising twists, with the addition of a healthy dose of romantic interest, as Harry, Ron, and Hermione (not to mention Hagrid) start to really notice the opposite gender. Like "Prisoner of Azkaban," "Goblet of Fire" contains reminders that the wizarding world is dangerous, scary--and often unfair, and that not everyone is playing for the same team--or is even playing the same game. I did start to wonder, towards the end, how Harry and his friends ever found time to do any actual work (well, besides Hermione...) with all of their sneaking around the castle late at night. The Dursleys are as vile as ever; the Weasley's as much fun, and in general, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is like walking into a roomful of old friends and spending hours (several, at 700+ pages) catching up on what everyone's been doing. My only question now is: when will Book 5 be out?

Summary: Harry Potter - still blazing away
Review: In all the hype going on before this latest book's release, I think I lost sight of the basics of J. K. Rowling's writing - skills: humour, the charm of the unexpected, and blistering wit - all of it targeted 100% accurately at her readership.

Her uncanny knack for picking up a storyline and veering off in a totally unforeseen direction is as practised and her writing as adept as ever.

You'd think that Harry and his friends might deserve a bit of a rest from Voldemort - but they pick up their adventures where they leave off. In the chilling introductory chapter it becomes obvious that Voldemort's getting more evil and more threatening with every book - and Harry has to get stronger to deal with him.

He's not left alone to do so though - amid the excitement of the Quidditch World Cup, and the following term at Hogwarts, he's bombarded with new people, new experiences, and above all new monsters to deal with.

With her usual light touch, J. K. Rowling takes Harry through one of the toughest of his adventures - ending with a competition that leads him straight into conflict with his deadliest enemy.

How he survives it with his friends' help, and how he comes to terms with a death along the way, is moving, exciting and often very funny.

This is probably the most complex of the Harry Potter books, with a plot that's more serpentine than ever (but just as logical). It carries you along with it as fast as before, and I found it hard to put down until I'd finished it.

I'd say it was the best yet, in a series that's one of the best I've read. A definite 5 stars!

Summary: Rowling has done it again!
Review: With all the hype surrounding this book, substance could bemeager and still be acceptable. However, this book is by far the bestof all. It's a little older, a little more sophisticated than the others, but it works wonderfully. The basis of the book is that the Triwizard tournament, which hasn't been held for one hundred years in now being held at Hogwarts. Traditionally, three champions are picked from the three competing schools from a "goblet of fire". Harry does not even enter, but the goblet sputters up his name. Thus the book truly begains. The champions undergo three "tasks", such as getting past dragons, rescuing captives from merpeople, and finding their way out of an enchanted maze. I don't want to reveal too much, but I will say this: Snape had a former life...a twist I found very interesting. All in all, these books just keep getting better.

Summary: Goblet Good
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is written by authour J.K. Rowling, who has written all of the other books in the Harry Potter Series. I love Miss. Rowling's work, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a perfect example of how well she writes. With termanology like "Quidditch" and "Muggles" it's amazing how she creates a perfect imagry and description of the characters. This book has a wonderful plot. When Harry's name get's pulled out of the Goblet of Fire (A device that basicly is a holding pen for things, such as nametags, as used in the book) he gets overwhelmingly suspicious because he did not put his name in the goblet to compete in the Triwizard ournament, the event that was going to be held at Hogwarts, Harry's school. Harry must compete in different events such as a huge maze that is full of magical obstacles to diving into a frigid pond to rescue a person. All in all, I would highly recommend this book to anybody.

Summary: J.K. Rowling's best book yet!
Review: This book is great! It is a lot longer than the other books with 734 pages and thirty-seven chapters. It is filled with new excitements and dangers with Voldemort trying again to kill Harry Potter. Buy this book and you will see what you have been waiting so long for. Just make sure you buy it on Amazon.com.

Summary: More of the same...which isn't bad
Review: At 734 pages, just holding up "The Goblet of Fire" was a task. But all worth it. It starts out once again with Harry and his horrible muggle relatives; you're quickly drawn in by the first sentence which discusses the "Riddle House." The length does become an issue in several chapters into the book, but the writing style makes the long lines of text bearable. Much of it can be attributed to full-length poems printed in the book. Quidditch, a violently intriguing flying game, moves the story along. Harry and his friends attend a Quidditch World Cup that takes on the persona of a European soccer match. The event leaves Harry and Co. psyched for their own mini-World Cup, the Tri-Wizard tournament. This section is particularly interesting as we find that other wizarding schools exist. But it isn't all fun and games. Rowling allowed readers to know beforehand that someone would die in this installment; sadly, we will no longer enjoy the company of...of course not. More of the same comes in the form of another new teacher, new wizarding gizmos and more of Harry's irresistible charm -- which wins over a certain young lady and shoves him into the dating scene. The story is more adult than child, but the wording manages to barely gloss over some horribly frightening moments. It's more of the same, and then it's some more.
