Rating: Summary: Great fantasy story Review: The Harry Potter books just keep getting better and better. It is longer (700 some pages), but that just means that it lasts longer. It is darker, yes, and some people may find that disturbing, as well as the death of a certain character, but fans will still find this an enjoyable read and will eagerly await the next book. I know I am.
Rating: Summary: Good, but, this book is loooooooong. Review: Okay, so I realize that it's a book for every year Harry is at Hogwarts, but it would have been nice if this one could have been split into two - it's just too long.Don't get me wrong, it's still a very good book, but I just don't see myself rushing to pick it up again any time soon, which I do frequently with the other 3 in the series. And that's really why this is only 4 stars instead of 5. Ignoring the length, how is the book? Very good: the characters all grow, their relationships become more complex, and the world they live in becomes darker and deeper, just as it does in real life. We get a better look at the global world of wizards and witches (although some of the accents are a little ridiculous) and there is a more palpable sense of evil in this book. Are there any complaints? Sure, but there's always going to be a few. JK Rowling seems to be pandering to new readers by explaining previous events ad nauseum, which means that there's little point in buying the previous novels if you read Goblet of Fire first. And the death that was so well hyped...well, no spoilers, but I imagine there will be a few shrugs from adults as to the victim. To finish, it's a great read (maybe not 12am to 6:15am great, but that's my fault!) that would have benefited from tighter story telling. And if that's the only complaint, then it's worth your time and money.
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: This Book Is The Best One out of ALL of the Harry Potter books. I can't believe the suspense and thrill of what's hiding around the corner. "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" os a recommended book by everyone that has or is reading the series.
Rating: Summary: Blast Review: This book is an adventurus book that has loads of susspence and action. It is very long so you won't read it it to fast. That means that the fun will last twice as long. I recomend this book to anyone who likes adventure and susspence. This is my favorite book in the series
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter still has it! Review: This book, like Harry himself, is magic. OK, so I'm a Muggle, but all Muggles aren't bad... I think this book was more scary than any of the others so far, believe it or not. With some new powers and new enemies, Harry takes you where you've never been before. Read on!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter goes Epic! Review: Each installment in this series has been better than the last, and the fourth is no exception. The same sympathetic characterization and gentle wit that have carried the previous episodes are present, but combined with an increased portion of the moral seriousness and sense of danger that marked the third volume. The supporting cast is rich, and the plot is astonishingly intricate for any novel, let alone "children's" fiction. Rowling makes it look effortless, and the pieces fall into place with a perfect feeling of rightness. This is a serious book, with grave themes, but the lightness of the style, the understanding of what it's like to be a kid, and the bouncy side plots keep it from feeling like a preachy or weighty tome. The Harry Potter series has been moving towards increasing maturity as Harry grows towards his destiny, and here, in the fourth volume, the true scope of Rowling's epic ambition for the series has become clear. Suffice to say it's a doozy, and the remaining three volumes have been set up for some pretty exciting events. This isn't just good children's literature, this is literature that has instantly earned itself classic status. This book is worthy of the hype surrounding it.
Rating: Summary: The Bomb Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the best. In here Harry is in his fourth year and has many new adventures with his friends! I really love this book!
Rating: Summary: a very good book. Review: this 4th book of the harry potter series is the best of all. i think everybody should read this ook ecause it is so exciting.
Rating: Summary: Magical In Every Sense of the Word! Review: J.K. Rowling has created another exciting Harry Potter novel, just as humorous, exciting, and horrifying as its predecessors...Goblet of Fire opens with terror and excitement, and just doesn't let go. New, creative creatures, an eccentric Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and unexpected deaths keeps you reading. Read this book, and enjoy. But before you do, I have to warn you: Voldemort isn't playing anymore.
