Rating: Summary: Like Nothing, Ever Review: At 11:59 P.M. on Friday night, my gather and I ventured into alocal bookstore, where hundreds of people in Harry Potter character, packed in very tight spaces all waiting for a chance to get their hands on one much anticipated book. As I waited in the long, winding line, young Harry Potter fanatics gripped to their books, clinging on for dear life, ready for an adventure. The second I started the book there was no doubt in my mind, I was ready to start on the longest children's book ever written, and also the best. Within the first two pages there was no boubt in my mind of how wonderful the book was going to be. But by the end, with so much exctitment and such a good story, my feelings on the book were beyond anything that I had ever dreamed of. J.K. Rowling blends a wonderful plot line, humor, good writing, awesome characterization, and that impecible gift she has all together. Her gift, is one that hardly any writers have, you can't stop turning pages! it can be four in the morning, in my case, and I just can't stop reading. I want to go to bed, but I can't stand not knowing what is going to happen to Harry at school. This proceeds to happen again and again until the last page. I spent a straight nine hours on this book, although once pausing to use the bathroom. This is the book to read, five minutes after finishing the book, I have a sudden urge to start it again. If you have any doubts about reading this book, shame on you. Let me tell you, you will never forget it. By the way, I've already started again.
Rating: Summary: AMAZING! Review: J.K. Rowling has outdone herself once again in this whopper of a sequel to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban! An absolute must read for any Harry fan! If there is anyone left in the United States who hasn't purchased this book, do not delay. Rowling has created a host of new and interesting characters, including a new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, with a magical eye, and students from all over the world who come to Hogwarts to compete in a special tournament! She has stepped up the danger and the suspense and added a splash of romance along with the hard lessons of life. To say more would give away this special story. I thought this book was by far the best, positively magical.
Rating: Summary: I don't want to wait another year for the next book! Review: My book was delivered ... at 11 AM, and I didn't move off thecouch until 6. The first 200 pages or so were a little slower moving, filled with descriptions of Quidditch action and wizardly modes of transportation, but the pace picked after the World Cup, and the last 200 pages were absolutely riveting. By the last page, battle lines have been drawn, and the suspense will keep Harry Potter fans on tenterhooks waiting for the next installment. Ms. Rowling keeps getting better and better. It's a marvelous book. Now I have to go and read it again.
Rating: Summary: very good, very funny, very scary Review: This is a wonderful book. Although there were slight dissapointments such as there being no quidditch matches, the terrifing ending made up for it all. Ms. Rowling ends of a bit of a cliff hanger, and now im desprite to read book 5. (another YEAR! I dont know what I'll do). I highly suggest this book, but not for younger childeren.
Rating: Summary: Stayed up till 10 a.m. to finish the book! Review: J.K. Rowling has done it again (was there ever any doubt?). Of course I could not put the book down and have finally finished it. It was VERY good and VERY funny--there were parts that almost had me in tears, I was laughing so hard. The book had a bit more of a dark side than the previous ones...I don't want to ruin anything for those who have not read it yet, so I won't divulge any information, but in a nutshell, if you have any doubts about buying the book, you shouldn't. If you haven't read any of the Harry Potter books, buy them ALL and forget about the things you should be doing and just read. You won't regret it!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: I've just finished Harry and the Goblet of Fire in under 10 hours. JK has again managed to make me never want to put the book down, and the cry as I turn the last page and relise I'll have another year long wait. Harry 4 was not only comicall, but serious, and sad. On some chapters I cryied, and others I woke the household with my laughter. We find out the effects journalists can have on a person's life, as well as the curelty that can be subjected from one's own peers. Harry four was truely worth the wait. Now just begins the long wait for the next wonderfully Harry book.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire Review: Well, what can I say? This is my favorite of the four Harry Potter books. Kudos to J.K Rowling. She has yet again proved that Harry Potter will never get old. Just like the other three, this book is full of wonderfull wizardry and plenty of potions. My friends, this is one great book. All I know that is if you have [the money], you must buy this book, and if you don't, take a loan. I give my guarantee that you will like this book if you're a Harry Potter fan, and it will highten your hunger for book number five!

Rating: Summary: The best yet! Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the newest and best yet in the series. Detailing Harry's 4th year at Hogwarts, all kinds of surprises wait you: magical curses, msyterious men, and the mystical Triwizard Tournament. And a death...
Rating: Summary: Another Lovely Book Review: Wasn't that a nice book? Although Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, did, unfortunately, follow the same general format (Dursleys, Weasleys, Hogwarts, angry Malfoy, rumors of evil, competitions, victory/defeat, Dumbledore's explaination, the inevitable Hospital Wing Scene....etc.), I was surprised by how interesting it was to read this book - after fear that the hype would deaden the impact of finally enjoying the story -, how fun it was to follow the newest suggestions of who Voldemort's most faithful Death-Eater could be, how sad it was to discover the fates of Neville's parents, and the shock of the death of, well, nevermind whom, and the hillarity of Percy's pomposity and much else besides. Though I appreciate the growing complexity of these tales, I feel saddened to note that Rowling's storytelling seems to have lost much of its playful quality, so like that of Roald Dahl, that was quite apparent in, "Mr and Mrs Dursley, of Number Four, Privet Drive, were proud to say they were perfectly normal, thank you very much". All the same, in my not-so-humble opinion, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was quite deserving of the fame and glory announcing it's arrival. Awaiting the debut of HPV at 3:08 pm on Saturday, July 8, A Fan
