Summary: Incredibly Surprising
Review: I would like to review this book , but I'll be careful not to ruin any surprises. I was completely blown away by the time I reached the end of this book. I am an avid reader of fantasy and sci-fi books.Although I am sixteen and the Harry Potter books often were a bit below my reading level, I have enjoyed them immensely. However, this book seemed very different to me than the previous ones. This book is much scarier and darker, since the villians really take no prisoners, (well, one, you'll see) and the book starts and ends with the deathes of protagonists. I knew at least one character from a previous book was doomed to die from an interview I saw on TV, but I was still not prepared. The twist at the end (there is one in all of the books) is the best so far, not so far-fetched as the one at the end of book 3, but enough to astonish even me though I was searching for clues the entire time. But there is one thing that I feel will turn off many younger readers, that is because the villain achieves most of his/her's goals. However, it just makes me want to read the next one even more. Despite that this book is over 700 pages, I finished it in half the time of the other ones, I couldn't put it down, (I bought it a 8 am this morning and finished it at 2 pm). JK Rowling really took a different approach to this book, and I loved it. This is the best Harry Potter book yet.

Summary: It's Enchanting!
Review: This new "Harry Potter" book I believe tops the rest of the series so far. It is SO good you won't be able to put it down! I thought the plots were fantastic. J.K. Rowling really is a great writer. I look forward to reading the next "Harry Potter" book!

Summary: Harry (and the series) starts to grow up
Review: 'Goblet of Fire' is my favorite of the HP books so far - I'mreally impressed with Rowling's ability to 'grow' the texture of thestory, along with the characters. We learn more about Hogwarts' history and place in the world, gain more spells, more characters (and fabulous fantastic creatures) to adventure with, and more tightly woven details constructing the wizarding world, but the context of that world (from Harry's view) also becomes more complex. Good still battles evil, but now Harry begins to discern distinct factions arming both sides, and that not everyone is willing to choose a camp.

To make character development even more interesting, he and his friends discover their own relationships are not as cleanly defined as they were last year, and I laughed and worried as they struggled with their unstable adolescence.

I really admire Rowlings' ability to 'grow' her level of storytelling along with the complexity of the plot and characterization. I found this to be the funniest book so far, tempting those awaiting their turn with the book with my frequent laughter. It also has the scariest consequences of the series so far, as Rowling reveals more details of exactly how Voldemort operates.

Although I think those 8-9 year olds tearing through the series will be more than satisfied with Book 4, they may well appreciate it from a different vantage point should they reread it later - but then all of the HP's benefit from a second or third turn - if you can get them back from whoever you lent them. Bring on Number 5!

Summary: wonderful (NOT)
Review: When I read Harry Potter, it was trash. I cant believe that someone would waste their money on a book like this. I've read the other Harry Potter Books and they were great but this one stinks so bad. Dont waste your money.

Summary: Simply the best
Review: You know about Harry Potter. HP # 4 is awesome. More twists andmagic than the 2nd and 3rd books combined! I loved this book fromstart to finish. I'm waiting for #5!

Summary: One thick book full of mystery, terror, and wonder!
Review: I think that I speak for everyone out there when I say how excited I was to finally get my hands on this book! I just finished reading all 734 pages and J.K. Rowling has truly outdone herself with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Year four is a very different one for all the Hogwarts students- There will be no school quidditch(gasp!), and Voldemort and his followers continually gain power throughout the year, there is a particularly troublesome news reporter, and many other mysterious and odd charachters for Harry, Ron, and Hermione to ponder, and maybe even a love interest for Hagrid! The plot was entertaining with a very suprising yet fitting ending. The book has all of JKR's humour, trademark creative names, and new quirky charachters. The Goblet is another one for the recordbooks and for the enjoyment of children of all ages! After The shock at the end of the book, JK leaves us with a bit of a cliff-hanger for book five(sigh), we will all have to wait patiently(or impatiently)until next time! We will at least have a vague Idea of where the plot has to go next year after all the myriad happenings this year at Hogwarts!

Summary: Harry Potter is a Scam
Review: Harry Potter seems like a great book for kids to read and itis, except for the fact that harry potter has the EXACT same storyline and characters as books called narnia. The chronicles of narnia are the true Harry Potter books. I REALLY ADVISE YOU TO READ THEM FIRST. It makes me really sad [that the author] needs to copy an idea from a not so popular series of books. Please read Narnia!

Summary: Rowling's Fourth Masterpiece!
Review: CALLING ALL MUGGLES! I think that this is another shining addition to the already very popular "Harry Potter Series". Harry has all new adventures at Hogwarts and it has MANY delightful moments.. . .But then again, NO book is without its not so delightful ones. . . This book is full of life from the very first page all the way to the 734th. I would recomend this book to ANYONE who likes to read ANYTHING, because I believe this book is one of the best I have ever read! Be prepared for a great time reading this book. This book is really fantastic 5 STARS!
