Rating: Summary: Continues the Potter Tradition Review: The first three Harry Potter books shocked, astounded and touched me. The unique British style has delighted me throughout this trio of novels. The fourth is in a whole new ballpark. When something is flawless, where do you begin? When there are innumerable impeccable qualities to describe, where do you start? Those are the queries I face as I begin writing this review. Rowling's writing style is whimsical yet contrite. It is comprehensible by children in the third grade or higher, but enjoyable by adults of all walks of life. This book, like the others in the series, is able to depict the humans, humorously dubbed "Muggles" as well as the wizards, with impeccable humor and emotion. Truly delightful. The 700+ pages may seem daunting at first, but before you realize it, you're done with this wonderful book all too soon. Sometimes people face decisions in life. These decisions can be foreboding, difficult, and intimiditating. This is not one such decision. Don't hesitate to click the "Add to Shopping Cart" button at the top of this page. Rating: Summary: Harry Potter Rocks! Review: Wow... J.K. Rowling has again written a novel not to beforgotten. The crazy adventures of Harry and his friends again supriseeven the most methodical readers. I'm 11 and today, at 9:00 am, we received our copy of Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire via FedEx from Amazon. Five hours later, I finished the book. Many new adventures confront Harry from the rise of the Dark Lord Voldemort, to Harry's first school dance. Harry also discovers girls and sees his first Quidditch World Cup. Keep them coming, J.K.! This series is the best, although I must admit, the book is rather slow until about the 25th page and the ending was a bit disappointing. Hope you enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: Pretty Short Review Review: I thought the book was really good, except that part of it was sort of sad and scary. I liked that it was a lot bigger because I could spend a lot more time with it. (Even though I finished it in one day.) I don't want to say much more because I don't want to give away what happens.
Rating: Summary: The best yet! Review: This book is incredible... witty, interesting, hair-raising and filled with on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense. All of the favorite characters (Ron, Fred and George, Percy, Ginny, Hermione, Neville, and of course, Harry) have returned, with a few new special additions, and they're funnier and more grown up than ever. A must read.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Book 4) Review: Arrived this morning, have read NON STOP since then. The detail and descriptions are wonderful. The story keeps you reading on 'till the end! I can not encourage EVERYONE to read this series with enough enthusiasm. AWSOME BOOK! Can I pre-order #5 now?
Rating: Summary: I cant believe she did it again Review: I cant believe JK Rowling did it again. I bought the book and stayed up til 7:00 in the morning reading it. I couldnt put it down. This is the best of the Harry poter books I have read.
Rating: Summary: The Neverending Story? Nope . . . Harry Potter! Review: We got the book this morning at 12:01 and just finished it!Nearly all your favorite characters return, and THAT is part of theproblem -- this is one long book! 734 pages! Rowling throws in a lot of back story to keep new readers up to pace, but really . . . who hasn't read the other three books? All the background might get a little boring for Harry's adult fans, and will almost certainly do so for the kids in the reading group! Rowling should have a little more faith in her readers to discern the backstory for themselves, rather than rehashing it book after book. How long will book seven be? Eesh! JK Rowling's "Empire Strikes Back," Goblet of Fire is a dark chapter in the Harry Potter saga, setting us up for what will undoubtedly be an exciting and harrowing rally by the forces of good to overcome Voldem . . . (He who cannot be named! ) Learn more about Hagrid's family! The Tri-Wizard Cup is great. Ron has a crush! Herminoe and Voldemort get makeovers! Harry rides again. Long, but worth the effort!
Rating: Summary: Well worth the wait! Review: This book is AWESOME! I just finished Chapter 20 and only stopped because my eyes are so tired I was seeing double. Harry and friends and just as good as in the first three (even better at some places) and there are lots of new friends/enemies to keep things hopping! This book is well worth the time put into it. Rowling has a way of writing that keeps the story rolling and the character's interesting and detailed. My only question: When is #5 coming?
Rating: Summary: What a wonderful book! Review: After the loooong wait, its finally here! I just finished The Cup Of Fire, and I was delighted with it! J.K. Rowling certiantly did not dissapoint me. I loved Winky, Professor Moody and the Nitters, and the ending surprised me. I love the depth of all the characters. I think its wonderful how we learned a little more about Neville, and it was great to see more of the infamous Sirius Black. The reporter was evil, but definitly added some controversy. I just cannot believe this book, I enjoyed it so much! Now I can hardly wait for the next one ;)
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter's 14 and Still Awesome! Review: Harry was awesome at age eleven, and he will continue to be awesome through-out his lovely, well written, ficticious life. I wouldn't mind being a wizard/witch. Out of all of the 4 books J.K. Rowling has written so far, none of them, can you consider as your favorite. They all capture your heart within the first 3 pages at the most. However, I can admit that even though I have no favorite (since all are so amazing! ) I KNOW that the 4th one IS THE BEST! The plot and all of Harry's adventures certainly blow away your mind. I would consider J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books the 8th World Wonder! I have not read any decently long book (752 pg. for #4) by any author (with the exception of Ms. Rowling) that was remotely interesting. However, Harry Potter #4 is not remotely interesting. It is so extraordinary, I cannot express my enjoyment of the book with words. But if you want to read something where somebody can "conjure" words that flow gracefully on the pages, READ HARRY POTTER! The characters are so real, in fact the whole book seems so real, you feel as if you have just finished reading a non-fiction assignment for history. Now, history is your favorite subject in school. The only bad thing about Harry Potter is that this amazing book series unfortunately ends at book seven. I think that now is the time I should end this describing of the AWESOME 4th book. I fear I may blow your mind by more descriptions for the cause of it's awesomeness. So, READ "HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE! " and discover secrets so juicy, so sweet, so surprising, you'll want gobble it in a second and ask for "1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000ths".
