Rating: Summary: Excellent 4th installment - now the long wait for book 5 Review: I don't want to give away too much of the plot, but this is an excellent book. Goes much deeper into the long running storyline of Voldemort and his dark followers and the battle of good vs. evil. It's wonderful, also, to see how the characters we all love, (Harry, Hermione, and Ron) are growing up and developing into strong, brave young adults while still retaining their own distinct personalities. This character development is truly impressive, and the Author is a credit to her craft. This book is a little bit more mature reading than the previous 3 - a little scarier at times (You-Know-Who is a pretty scary fellow) - but after reading all 735 pages in one day, I'm left wanting the next book even more than I was drooling over this one. Be warned: the ending is surprising and the cliffhanger ending of open questions in this one is far more juicy than the last 3 books. ...
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a compelling sequel tothe other 3, and is a masterpiece with a longer story than the others, growing the plot as it goes along. Truly classic, and the last 3 are truly being kept in everybody's minds. J. K. Rowling has captured everyone's hearts.
Rating: Summary: A worthy follow-up Review: As eagerly as I waited to read the new book, there was a partof me that was dreading it. What if it was too long to keep myattention? What if it was not as good as the others? As I started to read the book, all of my fears were assuaged. I could not put the book down and finished this bulky masterpiece in two days. And this book is even better than the other three. It is legitimately scary in parts and wonderful in others. It's full of surprises and likeable characters. It strays from the formula that the other three held by and this time delivers a new and wonderful experience. These books keep getting better and better and now I can't believe I have to wait a year for Book 5.
Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: I'm so glad Harry Potter is finally here! What a plot, what abook! I already can't wait for V!
Rating: Summary: Harry does it again Review: When I started reading this book this morning I was in factpretty bored, but after I got past the begining of the novel I couldnot stop reading it (truely I finished it the same day I got it). Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire was well worth reading. At a surprising 734 pages the fourth Harry Potter book is a delicious book and I advise everyone to read it. It was worth everry penny.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down. Review: This was the best book yet. With each book J.K. Rowling brings to life one of literatures most unforgettable characters. She brings you to a world that is so unique and enchanting, you end up smiling and sad because you didn't want the book to end. This book does get a little darker than the other three, but it sets the tone, I think, for what is to come in future books. Buy it, read it, and live the life of Harry Potter. You won't be sorry you did.
Rating: Summary: Rowling strikes again Review: I've been eagerly awaiting the release of Harry Potter IV for months. Needless to say I was thrilled with the news that it had arrived by Amazon delivery on the day of its release. 6 or 7 hours after opening it, I had finished. The Goblet of Fire was equally as captivating as the previous three, if not more so, and I was on edge the entire read, trying to decide who was lying, who was evil and who was going to save the day (other than Harry, of course). With each book, Rowling paints a clearer picture of her world and the characters within it. My only problem is this: What am I going to do until Harry Potter V is released?
Rating: Summary: All I want to know, is, how long until the fifth? Review: The first three Harry Potter books were excellent pieces of literature that kept me glued to their pages until I had finished. The fourth was no different. This book was nothing short of amazing. While the main body was about (if such a word can be used) equal to the others, surpassing them slightly, the ending was nothing short of spectacular. Rowling has me entranced completely. Until the fifth one comes out, I will be on the edge of my seat, waiting with bated breath. As for a bit more detail. I will not give away any plot, however tempting it may be. Suffice it to say that the entirety of the story is entrancing. I spent 8 hours straight reading it until I was done. The last chapters are not so much an ending, but are, as the title of the last chapter implies, a beginning. It is as if Rowling included a few chapters from the next book at the end of this one to make sure that speculation about the next will spread until the fifth book's release. Buy this book as soon as you can. It will vanish instantly once the people who finish it first tell others about it. If you have not read the others, go out and buy all four. It's no use waiting until they come out in paperback, that may never happen at the rate they will sell. Don't let a treasure like this pass you by. Get it and read it, and try not to go insane waiting for the next. All in all, kudos to Rowling! Thank you for making this wonderful world and sharing it all with us!
