Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: Harry Potter is back! With more adventure! He befriends students from other schools alas the worl;d cup is great and amusing but a little boring. All the same it is great! Rowling produces a high standard of english on the Potter saga!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter's Best Yet! Review: As most of us remember, this book was a long-waited addition to the Harry Potter saga. I myself was just itching to get my hands on a copy of one, and well, it was worth the wait! This superb fourth book returns us to J.K. Rowling's tale about magic, muggles, and the famous school, Hogwarts. Rowling promised a darker story, and well, she delivered. There is a death of a Hogwarts student or teacher; and the ending was so terryifying, in parts, so while reading it you fear for poor Harry's safety. (Don't worry, there are three more books to come, though.) I finished this in one day, it was so gripping. I could not put it down until one-thirty, when I had finished it. This was a marvelous book that is definitely worth a read. Trust me, all the hype is well deserved! I would recommend Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to anyone- kids, adults, it doesn't matter. You'll love this book.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter wins again! Review: J.K. Rowling has hit the mark again with her latest book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It has all of the twists and turns of all of the previous 3 installments of the the Harry Potter saga and then some. The book is quite long but full of detail. Readers will enjoy the kind of conflict and resolution (or maybe continued conflict) that everyone experiences with their relationships and friendships. We once again learn some facinating tidbits about Harry and his friends, and are left with some tantalizing clues about the direction of the next book in the series. This book is much more emotional in character; Harry has a crush on a girl at school and one of his friends dies (no, you won't find out which one from me). The lines between good and bad are also slowly becoming more clear, which will lead to a pivitol confrontation in a future installment. I like this well written series as it is a great 'read'. I read professional manuals on a daily basis and want an exciting, well written story for my 'time off'. My 13 year-old daughter introduced me to the books and I think that it is great that we have something that we can share. (She does however, think that I'm nuts when I read the 734 pages at one sitting, it took me most of 10 hours.) The one drawback is that now we will have to wait for the next book.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the goblet of Fire Review: I liked Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire because of the excitement and the thrilling suprise ending. I really liked the big event that happened at Hogwarts. (It has something to do with the goblet of Fire.) It was a great book. Ron, Harry and Hermione are better friends then ever.Hagrid has another dark secret. Voldemort is waiting for his chance. Dumbledore has his ways and Fudge is blundering along. The Harrry Potter books are my favorite books.
Rating: Summary: Lack of Depth Review: I was thrilled to see that Amazon.com had sent the fourth Harry Potter book right on July 8th, and I vowed to read it all on that very day! So, I set to my task, and I did finish it at 8 O'Clock. But. I found it rather dissapointing. There was a lack of depth in the characters, the depth that had been there before. The plot was good, but weak. It seemed too much like all the others, "Lord Voldemort is after Harry..." again. As the other plot's held me throughout the book, this one didn't. What did keep me going, though, was the fact that I was going to find out who the Death Eater's were. However, JK Rowling does tell us more about Voldemort's past, and even his family. She also explored how Harry's status can falter. With that annoying news reporter, that is, who put's up all sorts of rumors about Harry, and turns all his peers against him. ("Potter Stinks.") I enjoyed that because, it's obvious that not everyone can like Harry. (Ex-cluding the Dark Wizards.) I would give this book 2 1/2 stars, but, obviously, you can't do that on Amazon.com. (So I put three instead.) So, do get the book, it is worth it, but just don't come to me when you see it's not quite as good as the others. But never fear JK Rowling, one semi-good book does not turn me away from Harry, I am still up to reading the rest, as I'm sure the rest of you will be.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: This book is great! After reading the first three I was hooked and had to get the 4th and read it right away! Wonderful book for all ages!
Rating: Summary: Execellent Review: Ms. Rawlings is not letting up as she moves on. The story, 700 pages or so though it may be, moves fast, and I couldn't help but stay up all night to finish it. I wouldnt dare give away the ending here, like so many reviewers do, and with this book it would be a travesty, suffice to to say that it will be hard to keep a dry eye if you've followed the novels. Its too bad she will only be writing seven of these, but I guess we cant have everything we want.

With wonderfull characters and bringing back some you know from the previous books, and even getting rid of one (forever) this book as all the things a good book should a nice story wonderfull characters and the magic that makes you never wanna put the book down. Rating: Summary: My Reasons for Liking Review: I liked the book, except for its length (but that might be because I stayed up all night to read it and was grouchy the next day). There were a variety of reasons for my liking it: 1)It had the usual twisty ending -- who you think it is (or who I thought it was, although for maybe lack of sleep) really isn't or whatnot. 2)You find out a lot of interesting tidbits about characters, like Snape, Hagrid, Malfroy, the new DAtDA, Voldemort, and Neville (as to why he lives with his grandmother; I thought this was so sad) 3) We meet new schools! And new animals! 4) I learned how a Wizard reporter can write like a Muggle Tabloid writer :-) 5)Two of the Mauraders make important appearances thoughout the book, and one Maurader and his company prove to really help Harry in a tight squeeze (which two I'm not telling, but you can probably figure it out) 6) The truly wonderful details and realistic-ness 7) MY favorite character didn't die! I can't tell you who though 8) This book SCREAMS for the 5th. There are these little details that are left dangling with those oh-so-subtle hints Ms. Rowling leaves! Man, a whole new year to wait! Back to the rumor boards . . . There are probably many more reasons that have just eluded my memory right now. Aside from the length, there was only one thing that really made me sad -- I didn't get to hear that much about my favorite Professor. Guess who!
Rating: Summary: Goblet Of Fire Not as Good as First 3 books... it's better. Review: Yes, it's true. Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire is not as good as the first 3 books... it's better. As an inspiring author myself, I found the book extremely good. I bought the book on its first day and have already completed it: it surpassed all expectations. However, as the author promised, it is darker than the first three- much darker. We find the Dark Lord returning in all his power, an unexpected death, and terrible curses. The first three books were "fun", but this is truly darker, even sinister, but still better. I would recommend it for anyone above 10. (And I'm 14 myself).
