Rating: Summary: house elf Review: In opinion I found this story to be really good for one reason. 1) is that they put you on the edge of your seat towards the end of the story . If there is one that can be said about the ending you gotta to wonder what happens in the rest of the series .
Rating: Summary: Please let it be dead, oh dear god please! Review: This is one of the longest books I have ever read, but, trust me, stick with it! I've read it 13 times up to date (Ha!! Professor Trelawney! And you thought 13 was unlucky)!! The first 158 pages are with the Dursleys. Don't worry, it's still very interesting. Then yet another schoold year begins with yet another adventure. I will not reveal what is going on, but I will say this, "They had to cancel the event in recent centuries do to the high death toll." Only three were to be picked, and then there were four...... Then more begins to happen, strange things are revealed, and Harry discovers more about his strange and abnormal past. Then comes "Please let it be dead, oh god, please let it be dead," Harry thought to himself. And then comes "Don't worry, your mother will be coming along anytime now, Harry." This is by far the most eventful of the 4 books yet published and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!...
Rating: Summary: Mysterious, Mystical, and Magical! Review: Just one word, WOW! JK Rowling did a GREAT job on using descriptive words. I could not take my eyes of the page and i could almost fell as though i were IN the story! i recommend you read this if you are up for a day of witches, warlocks, and wizards!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: This is by far the best book in the series. In this book they don't have a Quidditch tournament they have a far better kind of tournament. If you though Harry got hurt in the last book what in tell you read this book. Harry learns of two people that he never thought would be involved with Voldemort. Harry shows great courage in this book. His defense of dark arts teacher is another werido. I would rate this the 1 book in my opinon. All in all i can not wait for the next book in this series to come out.
Rating: Summary: A few things you need to know before you read the book Review: Harry Potter is the biggest hit the book industry has seen since the Goose Bumps series. I love the books, and they are great for their wit, action, ingenuity, creativity, not to the mention obvious thorough research Rowling did for the novel. There are a few words of caution about this book. It is MUCH darker than the other three books. Rowling did say that this would be the turning point in the series, but this is a bigger turn than I expected. This book uncovers hidden sides of the characters through darker circumstances. The characters are given harder challenges as they get older. Harry especially grows not only phisically, but we also see him grow in confidence and maturity. Harry even has a little romance in his life. This book is most certainly not the one to read at home alone. It can get very scary at times. I wouldn't advise anyone under the age of 8 to read them; mainly because of the maturity of the books, but also because of the darker and scarier side of them. I love the books. I have grown as they have come out. I enjoy them for their maturing content. I think that because Rowling takes her time with the books, she can incorpartae older themes, which is great for the faithful fan
Rating: Summary: A more mature book in the Harry Potter Series Review: This is the longest, and most intense book in terms of suspense and drama in the Harry Potter series thus far. Once again, an excellent book as are the rest, much longer. Get this along with the rest of the series. Harry Potter is participating in a contest against students from two other schools, as well as one student from his own school in a dangerous contest of wizardry which lasts through the school year. This book delves more into the dark arts of the magical world, and Harry's intense struggle against those evil forces. The previous books are also brought into play here and charachters and events are tied together, so you should deffinitly read the books in thier order.
Rating: Summary: Better then Ever Review: Harry Potter has become one of the best selling charecters of all time, due to it's fun and lighthearted style. However, the Goblet of Fire sets a new tone: darker, more dangerous-and better. Maybe I just like dark tones, or... Yeah, that's probably it. However, I don't think that's all. It's also longer then prior books clocking in at more then 700 pages; I read it in one day. It's just that good. It's nice to see a book mature with you; (by comparison, the Redwall series, if anything, is lighter then when it started). The darkened tone makes me anticipate more the fifth book more then any of the last four; I only hope that the Order of the Pheonix is even longer
Rating: Summary: The best! Review: When I read Harry Potter I find myself captured by the way the carectures are so real. In Harry Potter 4 Harry, I think, has the biggest adventure yet. When he goes to Hogwarts he finds out that the Tri Wizard Tournament is coming up. Everyone trys to enter, but you have to be 17. Somehow, (I won't tell you how) Harry's name get's in the cup! When the wizards pull his name out everyone is shocked. Even Ron who is Harry's best friend, turns on him. Ron thinks Harry is cheating him! Only Hermionie, Dumbledoor, and Hagrad, along with some others, believe that Harry didn't cheat. Meenwhile Victor Crumb, the all star Quiditch player, has a mager crush on Hermionie. Ron gets jelouse because he likes Hermionie. This book is so good! The tasks that Harry has to do and the things he does are incredable! This book is scary, though, in some parts and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 8.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: I would rate this book a five because it is a true example of leadership and standing up for what is right, but at the same time exciting and fun. In this book, it shows Harry's true talents at extreme level, for he is in a very big event. That was brought back from years and years ago. In this book, a person you would never expect gets a job at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In addition, you will figure out if Sirius (Harry's Godfather) is a full filling his duties as a godfather. In edition Harry's worst enemy's come a lot bigger than any of the other books. If you won't get the most out of this book you should read the other three first. Overall, if you are a good reader and like adventure and a mystery all rolled into one this is the book for you.
