Summary: The best Harry Potter book so far!
Review: What can I say? Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was the most eagerly awaited book in history, by both children and adults alike, and it did not disappoint. Like the previous three, from the start it had me hooked, and I finished it the day I got it. The Goblet of Fire is far longer than the other books, being twice the size of The Prisoner of Azkaban, which is great because it allows for a more complex plot and greater detail.

It follows the trend set by 'Azkaban' in being slightly darker than the previous two, and we see less of that fairy tale magic, although there is still enough there to make this book as enchanting as the others.

I think of all the Harry Potter books, this is my favourite so far. Being slightly older than the target reading audience (10/11 year olds), I preferred the darker side to the plot and the amount of suspense and the way the author manages to have you fearing for Harry's life. It is also good to see Harry, Ron and Hermione beginning to grow up, and we see the three go on their first dates.

Unfortunately, apart from the World Cup match between Ireland and Bulgaria at the start of the book, there are no Quidditch matches between the four houses. The annual Quidditch cup is replaced by a triwizard tournament, where Hogwarts competes with two other wizarding schools, which fills a large part of the book and adds some exciting twists and turns to the book.

All the usual characters are involved, as well as some new ones including Rita Skeeter, a reporter for the Daily Prophet who plagues Harry throughout the book, and Mad-Eye Moody, the latest in a long line of Defence against the Dark Arts teachers.

As usual, JK Rowling writes a magnificent story with a complicated plot, some how managing to weave all the tiny details together. The book has a spectacular finish, perhaps her best yet, and leaves several un-answered questions ready for book 5. The book gives the impression of being a turning point in the series, and several big events happen which seem certain to have a big impact on the remaining books. In books one and two, we were introduced to the characters, and book three a lot of the background was filled in. In book 4 the action really begins, and rather than being a complete story the way the other three were, this seems to serve as the beginning to a much bigger story, one that will continue through all the books in the series.

Like all the others, Goblet of Fire manages to successfully blend humour, supense and mystery, and keeps the reader guessing to the end. Not many children between the ages of 7 and 12 could fail to be impressed by this, and the Harry Potter books are rare in the way that they manage to enchant both adults and children alike. In short: this book is fantastic; my favourite of the series so far, but whether it will stay that way depends on book 5.

This book was brilliant and I can't wait to read what happens next! :)

Review: I think that Harry Potter and the goblet of fire is one of the best books. I am reading it is so great. I hope that everyone will enjoy this book even parents. But if you never heard of this book and you want to read it you need to go through the whole series first because its much better. I am looking forward to the rest or J.K. Rowlings next inciting thing that happens to the great wizard HARRY POTTER!

Summary: The wait was worth it
Review: Finally, it's here! This book was fantastic...I read it cover to cover the day it came out. If you've read the first three books, be prepared. The Goblet of Fire is much more serious than the others, however, it is beautifully written and rich in character. The plot is an intricate, suspenseful one...I won't give anything away...read it for yourself! Excellent summer reading, although you may not be able to put it down once you pick it up.

Summary: Better Than Ever
Review: I had recently reread the first 3 Harry books and my major concern was that the 4th wouldn't hold up to the first 3 but I was definitely proven wrong. It was actually better. The plot is well thought out, no last minute " throw ins" to keep us happy. Harry Potter is growing up and he is definitely changing but he has the same spirit as ever. Despite the ever continuing increase in length of the books I was as drawn into the Hogwarts and Quidditch world as ever before and hungry for more when it ended. The book is described as pivotal and so it is with more depth being given to Harry's and the people around him's past. But the bottom line is that it's a great story and JK Rowling has managed to write a better book than before, rather than start to water down the plot. ( I admit I was worried ) Hooray for Harry!

Summary: It's BRILLIANT!
Review: I've just finished reading "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and it is just as amazing (if not more) as the earlier three editions. It had me riveted from the beginning to the end. I like the way Harry seems to be facing the same problems as normal kids, such as dealing with loneliness to misunderstandings with his friends and having being rejected by a girl, besides having to cope with Lord Voldermort :0). I would highly recommend this book because it's not just another book on witchcraft and sorcery but a story which touches the heart as well. Besides, descriptions of dancing veelas, disastrous magic classes and slithering serperts are altogether spell-binding!

Summary: Sad and Exciting! Buy it.
Review: Rowlings has done it again. She has made a book that is so exciting, and so sad (and so big) that it kept me reading for 10 straight hours. For those of you that want to know the full story this is not the review to read. I will give no spoilers. Harry potter and the Goblet of Fire is to the first three Harry Potter books as The Lord of the Rings is to the hobbit. While the first three books are excellent they are really just a set up to introduce the world of Harry. The Goblet of Fire is Rowlings first Masterpeice in my opinion. The Goblet of Fire has to do with The Triwizard Tournament where Hogwarts and two other wizard schools, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, compete for the Triwizard Cup. Voldemort (sorry) and his supporters play a much bigger role in this book than any of the others. Overall this book has a darker feeling to it. To put some questions out of your mind. 1. Someone does die in this book. 2. There are dragons involved in this book 3. There is a quidditch world cup in this book. 4. Harry does have a major crush on Cho in this book.

If this book is any indication of what is to come from Rowlings There are at least three books to look forward to. I will definately be first in line for 5, 6, and 7.

Summary: The best book ever
Review: This book is the best Harry Potter book yet! and, since I think that those books are the best, that makes this the best book ever. I bought it yesterday (july 8) and had finished it by the time I had to go to bed (9:30). Since I had to pack for camp that afternoon, AND go to a swim party, that's not bad. I would most definitely recommend this book to anybody who likes books. If you haven't read haarry potter yet, now is the time to start (Only, you should read the other ones first). I hope i'm the first person tto write a review for this book. bye, jessica h.

Summary: Grow up with Harry Potter!
Review: As the books progress, so does the diction and length of them. If your young Muggle is looking for a good read, I say, go with Harry! You cannot do any wrong with this outstanding series by Ms. Rawling, who really makes anything seem possible! Want to learn how to play Quidditch? Or how to cast a spell? It's all here in this marvellous series, a must for all children, and maybe their parents too!

Summary: Harry Potter: Best one yet!
Review: Although this book is long, it will keep your interest all the way, with Lord Voldem... oops "he who should not be name," and his sidekick trying to get rid of Harry once and for all. Everyone one should read this book from adults to children.
