Rating: Summary: Don't let the size of this book worry you Review: Yes, it's over 700 pages...but I still finished it in one night. You won't find yourself counting pages left, I promise.Yes, it's up to par. Rowling continues with some threads she'd started in earlier books (we do get to see more of Sirius Black) and starts some interesting new ones (I'm especially curious about Hermione and the house-elf liberation front). If there's anyone left who hasn't read the earlier books, it's best to start at the beginning and work your way through, but Goblet of Fire does have plenty of reminders and explanations of what happened in the earlier books, in case you've forgotten anything. Goblet of Fire is a little darker than the earlier books (the death Rowling warned us of is not who you thought it would be), but I still found myself laughing out loud in several spots. You won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful, scary, sad, and depressing book. Review: WARNING: DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ BOOK 4. IT GIVES SOME MAJOR SPOILERS! In a change toward darkness from her first two novels, the fourth book in Rowling's Harry Potter series is a wonderful book, which not only lives up to the legacy of her first three books but also lives beyond it. From the beginning of his summer, things are strange. Harry has a strange vision that makes his scar, a souvineir of the time he survived Voldemort, hurt. Then, there are other strange things which happen, cumulating to when Harry's name is chosen for the triwizard duel, even though he didn't put his name in and he was underage. He then had to accomplish three tasks, and the last was the hardest of all...for there, he meets his greatest enemy, Voldemort. This book is considerably darker and more scary than the previous three. However, it is still an excellent piece of literature. It leaves the reader (or at least me) crying from Cedric's death to the very end. Buy a box of tissues and pick up this book NOW!
Rating: Summary: J.K. Rowling have done it again Review: Just finish reading 734 pages last night without sleeping and couldn't believe Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire turns out to be the best of all Harry Potter series. It's about in the beginning that Wormtail and Muggle who plans revenge for killing Harry. But they couldn't kill him. Harry and all his friends arrives to the International Quidditch Cup to find out the mysterious taken place in Hogwarts of two school magic. My favorite part in this book is when Harry couldn't be normal in some section that makes me laugh.I strongly urged you to read this book. It's fill with magical that I have never read in my life before.I have also heard that about 15 million copies have sold in midnight. I hope J.K. Rowling will write year 5 soon and will finish fastly. Believe it or not maybe I should be in the guinness world of records for the first person who finish the novel out of 15 million people.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has excitement, adventure and near-death experiences. Harry spends the last two weeks of summer at The Burrow to see the thrilling Quidditch world cup. At Hogwarts there is a competition called the Triwizard tournament. 3 schools come, Devin Slang, Beauxbatons, and Hogwarts, to compete for the Triwizard Cup, which in order to twin, have to face dangerous challenges. You have to be 17 or older to compete, and to sign in, you have to write your name and school on a piece of parchment, and then place it into the Goblet of Fire. Then 1 person from each school is chosen from the Goblet, and someone put Harry's name in it, and labeled under a different school, so instead of having 3 competitors Harry was chosen to be a fourth. While Harry is competing in the tournament, Voldermort tries to regain his power and body. Harry has to complete three tasks to win. Harry meets up with more than just the tournament, he meets with the parcel-mouth talking wizard Voldermort. I recommend you should read this book because Harry's adventures last longer than the other books and it will keep you entertained for a lot longer. This book will sweep you off your feet like Floo powder with the danger, excitement and adventures that last longer than any other book. By Laura B
Rating: Summary: Another Amazing Hogwarts Quest! Review: Joanne Rowling has done it again! In this book Hazza P displays his courage in tackling the horrors of being a totally normal teenage boy in a crowd of ignorant idiots. He is my hero! Through bravely taking on the difficult task of letting her charming character grow up into a mature man Joanne Rowling has shown her competance as a biographical writer and made a place for herself among the greats in the history book of life. I think i can talk for the whole of the united kingdom in saying that Joanne Rowling takes the place of Princess Diana as our English Rose! I love you!
Rating: Summary: I have just one word to say: WOW. Review: I loved the original Harry Potter books, The Prisoner of Azkaban being my former favorite. The Goblet of Fire is now my favorite of the four by far. This is The Empire Strikes Back, The Godfather 2 and The Terminator 2 of the Harry Potter books, the story is a darkly satisfying tale documenting Harry Potter's 4th year of Wizard school and the return of Lord Voldemort. Rowling goes all out to write the story that needs to be told, instead of trying to please all of her young and old readers a like with a happy and predictable story. I could not put the book down, and ended up reading this 734 page novel in about 1 day. I recommend this to any fan of Harry, and any fan of literature in general.
Rating: Summary: Goblet Of Fire burns out Review: I thought this book in this first place was quite long nut I'm not biasing my review on that. The beginning of Harry Potter 4 started off quite dry in my opninon, and also had almost nothing to do with Harry. The first pieces really either could have been skipped and the reader would not have known or it could have been shorter and a little more exciting. Hearing a guy speak for like two chapters about himself and plans is not exactly exciting or the Harry way. Goblet of Fire then starts to focus on Harry a bit more. When the trio gets back to Hogwarts (finally) it seems like right off the bat that Ron and Harry aren't friends anymore and everything crumbles. Hermoine and Harry become more of friends but it wasn't like how most of the Harry readers like; Ron's friendship with Harry was much more humorous and plus you got a third insight into everything. When you finally get to the end of the book, everything starts falling apart. Evil rises but when the book closes almost none of the answer were solved and the ending really left you waiting for more: a lot more!
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: This book was great. I got it and finished the same day. It is the best in the four part seris so far. I can't wait for the next. It will keep you rivited until the end.
Rating: Summary: The series gets better and better Review: I just got my copy deleivered yesterday morning by FedEx and finished reading it that night. You won't be able to put it down! As usual, J.K. Rowling draws you into the world of Harry Potter and the most disappointing part is finishing the last page. I wish book 5 was out already. One bonus: we learn how to pronounce Hermione.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT BOOK! Review: The new Harry Potter book is excellent! It is a very interesting plot with a lot of mystery behind it. THe ending is a complete surprise, and leads the way to an excellent new book!
