Rating: Summary: Great book, but a little scary Review: A great book! I loved all the magical mayhem and plot twists, not to mention the new characters! Harry really gets into it with this new book! Rowling's best HP to date, with HP two coming in second! Can't wait for HP 5 to come out next year! But I found this book to be darker and dealing with more intense issues then the other three HP books. I enjoyed the action packed excitement, but think the book should be rated for 12 years and up,not 9 years and up! To the parents out there, you should read the ending and see if it would be appropriate for your younger kids because of the blood-letting, decapitation, and resurrection of a dead body...But all in all, I loved it!
Rating: Summary: Another excellent title in a very excellent series Review: The "Goblet of Fire" lives up to all theprepublication hype. There's enough action and adventure in this titleto delight and enthrall any reader. I was up until 4:00 in the morning because I could not bear to fall asleep without knowing how the book ended. The adventures of Harry, Ron and Hermione in their fourth year at Hogwarts will be sure to keep you reading. I am keeping this review free of details so that each reader will be able to experience the story for themselves. But if you want specifics, there is enough magic, adventure and humor to make you wish to read Year 5 right away!
Rating: Summary: harry potter and the goblet of fire Review: this is by far the best installment of the harry potter books. it starts out a bit slow but picks up towrds the middle. i would recomend this book to any one who has read the other harry potters.
Rating: Summary: The Goblet of Fire Review: Beyond excellant, this book is completely enchanting. From the moment I picked it up to the moment I finished it, I was gripping the edge of my seat, reading faster and faster in an attempt to discover what happens. Never has a Harry Potter book been this thrilling, and I am a big fan of the first three books, so you know that is not an unfounded statement. Kids AND adults I know have been begging me to let them read parts of the book: they are all impatiently awaiting the arrival of their own copy. I can't remember the last time I was so deeply entrenched in a series: I am already going crazy with anticipation for the next book. If possible, I would give this book a 10-star review.
Rating: Summary: I love this book! Well worth the wait! Review: Book four is finally here, and I can say this is the best yet. Larger than all three of the others put together, it has a richer plot, more suspense, deeper characters and overall just a better story.Harry, stuck at the Dursleys for an eternity over the summer, is invited to the Quidditch World Cup by Ron's family along with Hermione. In the excitement of seeing Ireland play Bulgaria, Harry can almost forget his frightening dream of Voldemort, hiding in a deserted house with 'Wormtail'. It's not long before Harry's back at Hogwarts - only to discover a new challenge awaits him, one which could easily cost him his life. I don't want to give too much away, but I can say this: there are so many twists in this plot you could open bottles with it, we are given more insight into each and every character, and the mystery which has become a staple of the Harry Potter books is better than ever. This book is fantastic - JK Rowling has done it again.
Rating: Summary: nothing better Review: you and your kids will engoy this book i guarenntee
Rating: Summary: More than worth the wait... but when do we get book five? Review: Rowling has topped herself. I'm very impressed and looking forward with great anticipation to book Five. The Goblet of fire continues Harry's quest to become a full fledged wizard. In this, the pivotal fourth book, Rowling succesfully ups the anti for Harry--and lord Voldmort and every one else--as we are introduced to a wider globe of magical creatures and peoples and places as two historicaly international events (The Quidditch World Cup and the Triinternatonail Wizard tournament) open both harry's and the readers horizens. As usual Rowling's great gift of character keeps the plot sparkling as we never know until the end exactly who is who in the battle for good vs evil and we are introduced to a spell that blurs the lines of responsiblity and culpablity even further. Highly recomend I stayed up until five in the morning to finish my only regret is that I now have a LONG WAIT for book five.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: It was as good as I expected. It only took me a day to finish. The ending was dark, but it was worth it.
Rating: Summary: Wizard hats off for JK Rowling Review: It's hard for any book to measure up to this kind of hype -- but Rowling's fans will be happy to know that Potter IV is every bit as good as its predecessors (at least so far -- I write this half-way through the adventure). In fact, so far it's my favorite of the series. I don't want to post even the smallest spoiler, but the premise is exciting and unexpected, but it involves the usual mix of boardign school drama, magic, and mayhem. Rowling is really great, and I love what she's done for children's books. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to The Goblet of Fire.
Rating: Summary: Superb! The best book of the series yet! Review: The fourth installment of Harry Potter definately lives up to all the excitement and anticipation. Despite the 700+ page count, I read the book in mere hours: I simply could not stop reading. I am an avid reader and never before has any other book including the previous Harry Potter's affected me this much. I was shaking when I finshed; it was that good! There are plenty of dangers and excitement, a suprising plot twist characteristic of Rowling, and even plenty of laughs (Fred and George go at it again). I was especially delighted when characters from previous books showed up again (I won't say who though :) ) And the ending is by far the best and most intense, and also the most leading with just enough strings left to make you go crazy for the fifth. I yelled when I finished; I was that anxious to read the fifth one! In short, this book surpasses any other that I've read and I've read a lot. I am now going back to my room to reread it.
