Rating: Summary: Magical Review: I recieved the Harry Potter book at 9 in the morning and didn't stop reading it until 11 at night. It is spell binding, you get caught in the magical world and you just can't escape. This is the most complacated of all the books so i recomend it for older children.
Rating: Summary: Goblet of Fire Review: I won't ruin the plot for those of you who have not yet readthe book, but I want to emphasize that the series keeps getting betterand better. "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is absolutely gripping -- you will probably find it difficult if not impossible to put down. I am increasingly impressed by J.K. Rowling's ability to weave together so many disparate details to create these amazing tapestries of wizarding life. She develops seemingly minor details mentioned in the first three books into elements integral to the plot. One warning for younger readers and their parents: Rowling wasn't kidding when she said the ending is scary. I suggest finishing the book during daylight hours to allow some lagtime before bedtime. Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: This book was by far, the best yet. It kept me guessing aboutthe plot to the very end. I can't wait until the nextinstallment. Nail biting suspense and a more grown up Harry transends from this book's pages.
Rating: Summary: Another fascinating tale about Harry and friends Review: Wow! Took me a little less than 2 days to read the whole bookas the only time I put it down was to fall asleep. I don't want togive anything away but I have to say Ms. Rowling continues to weave a great story about Harry, his friends, and their adventures. True to form the plot is wonderful and has all of the big and little surprises at the end that ties everything together which I believe is her trademark. The only bummer about the book was finishing it and realizing I have to wait till next year for the 5th book.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: Wow! I don't know what other word to use to describe Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Harry returns to Hogwarts for his fourth year in a book that grabs you in the first chapter and keeps you until the end. The Quidditch World Cup, Voldemort, Sirius Black, Death Eaters, the Triwizard Tournament - all part of what will certainly become the essential volume in the Potter series. Aside from several new characters (Professor Moody! ), we also meet a few we have until now only heard about (notably Bill and Charlie Weasly). The tension-filled ending, where lines are drawn and characters choose their side in the battle of good (Dumbledore) and evil (Voldemort) will have many people joining me in cheering Ms. Rowling for another superb, thrill-ride of a book and begging her to hurry with volume five!
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: I got this book Saturday noon and I couldn't stop reading it. (I finished it LATE Saturday evening.) This is as good as all the other books and the detail surpasses even "Prisoner of Azkaban." This book leaves you hanging to the end. As always with Rowling's books, the big climax is in the last few chapters. Rowling introduces some new characters such as the Defense Against the Arts teacher, and others. I find all of Rowling's books very humerous and this one didn't disappoint me. The threads of romance that she weaves throughout the book are not serious and they make you laugh a great deal. In the Hogwarts' ball everybody goes out with the wrong people. Thank You J. K. Rowling, this book was great!
Rating: Summary: The Magic Returns! Review: The 4th Harry Potter book is amazing! It starts off with adream that harry has and then is drifts off to when he ends up wakingup from this dream with his scar hurting. When his scar hurts something about You-Know-Who comes around. He goes on amazing things like the Quidditch World Cup that the Weaslys take him to. Choas also comes out in this book when fighting of wizards to the muggles emerges. IN the other books around the 7th or 8th chapter Harry is probably at hogwarts with he new term. Well in this book he gets to Hogwarts in the 12th chapter because J.K Rowling has finally figured if the book is longer then she could put more details and awesome adventures in the book. Belive me you got to buy this book. It probably will be suitable for people in the 6th grade through adults because the vocabulary is more hard to understand and there is more gruesome events in this book. Harry Pottter is one of the best series in book history. Buy this book to release the magical world including the new Defense Against Dark Arts Teacher!
Rating: Summary: Sammi Reviews Harry Review: I started reading this wonderful book and could not keep my hands off it. It took me about 18 hours to read this magical book. Harry is in luck this summer. The Dursley's have willingly let Harry stay with Weasley's. During his visit, they discover a dark mark that tells them the Dark Lord will be more powerful then ever before. But Harry has more problems then Voldermore. For one thing Harry's name was picked to compete against different schools for the goblet of fire. As Harry reveals his adventure, he finds secrets about his friends. Secrets that would be better left untold. Like most of J. K. Rowling's books, the Defendant Against the Dark teacher has something important to do with the story. This is definitely a must read book. Rating: Summary: Wow, what a great book! Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a really good book. The story continues, with Harry going to see the World cup with the Weaselys and Hermione. Voldemort rises to power, and gets a body. We see a return of Pettigrew a.k.a. Wormtail. We hear more from Sirius, and Harry gets to compete in the Triwizard Tournament, with Cedric Diggory. It has been rumored that someone in the book was going to die, and it's true. I'm not going to say who it is, but I WILL say a few things: the person is a Quidditch player, and is not in Gryffindor. Most of the Harry Potter books so far had happy endings. This one didn't, because the death of a character happened near the end. Although the ending was kind of sad, I liked this book the most of all, because since I'm a fast reader, I usually read HP books in about 1-2 hours, but this one took me about 5! I recommend this book to everyone, of all ages. I've read many masterpieces, and I must say that this book is the most amazing book that I've ever read! (And that's saying a lot, too!)
Rating: Summary: Maybe a bit long, but enjoyable... Review: When I reached the end of the book, I was a bit puzzled, itdidn't really seem like the plot was all that more complex than theother books, yet the book was twice the length of the others... but at the same time, there really wasn't any wasted space. In any case, the book was enjoyable, and continues the overall story well, and like the other books, is better than the predecessors. Also, I would suggest parents think of this book not as "too long" but as a good value... there's an awful lot of book to keep your children occupied for a long time. As rumoured, there is a death in this book, but it is handled well, and is something the children should be prepared to deal with. If anything, anticipation for the next book is heightened even more with this book... watch for Harry Potter mania to grow, not diminish.
