Rating: Summary: BEST BOOK IN A LONG TIME Review: This book is one of the best books Ive read in a long time. Its by far the best harry potter book. Its also much more suspenseful than the other ones. This book is impossible to put down once youve picked it up. Isuggest it to anyone, anywhere, any time.
Rating: Summary: Number four is the Number One book of the series Review: Harry Potter number 4 is possibly the best books yet! I was thrilled when it came out and was so exicted when I read it. This book was full of humor. There were times when I couldn't stop laughing. I didn't want to put this book down. Parts of this book make you want to cry and laugh. I am thrilled that is finally out and because of the cliff-hanger I cannot wait for number 5!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter Review: I have read all three HP books to my two boys, ages 11 & 13, all of which we have loved. The first and third in the series were our favorites. This series is for young and old, bringing the reader on a magic "fire bolt" ride through fantasyland. We have just heard that #4 is "in the mail" and we're on the edge of our broomsticks waiting to read it! What a delightful way to spend summer evenings. Don't miss out on Harry Potter!
Rating: Summary: Way cool! Review: I'm 15 and I have read all of the other Harry Potter books many times. This book is the best so far, I believe. It has a lot of suspense and surprise in it. I couldn't put it down. Two characters from the second and third books reappear- Sirus Black, Harry's Godfather, and Dobby, the House Elf. The book also includes the traditional encounter with Lord Voldemort, only it is more intense than usual. The only bad thing that I can think of about these books is that the fifth one isn't out yet!
Rating: Summary: Different, but good-mostly Review: I should give this book 3 and 1/2 stars, firstly. But, anyway, in the first three Harry Potter books, events were mainly concentrated around the goings-on at the school, friends, enemies, teachers, and annoyances. Things happened that helped them. Ick. I knew I couldn't say this right. This is a good book...it has some funny parts and some cool ones...and besides, it's Harry Potter...but it is very different. Very much darker. It is all about Voldemort coming back...he needed Harry to complete him. He killed...someone...and he called back his Death Eaters. The creeps that...er...ick! Seeing Voldemort's sign is a creepy experience, and the book leaves you with the feeling that there is more to come, much more...it was creepy. However, J. K. Rowling was right when she said that everyone fell in love with the wrong people. Also, Ron and Hermione's relationship changed. The book just was, well, creepy...darker...more evil...urgghhh! I don't know! In my opinion, the other three were better. It's pretty long, but I read it in 6 hours...I should've gone to bed, but it was too creepy after seeing the skull and the snake...
Rating: Summary: Best of the Potter books yet Review: I finished reading this book today, and I must say that it is the most intricate and best Harry Potter book yet. It is a must read for people who have read the first three Potter books.
Rating: Summary: It just keeps getting better Review: Once again, Rowling presents us with the adventures of the amazing Harry Potter. I'm going to refrain from giving away any of the plot, but suffice it to say, the plot has just gotten thicker. Harry hasn't only matured, but so has the story, carrying multi-plot lines, more intrigue, more mysteries, and more suspects. My first impression was that this book ceases to be a children's book, but rather a tale for the many adult readers who have been finding themselves enraptured with Rowlings writings. This is not to say of course, that this book can't be read by children... it still has the ease of verse and language which Potter fans have come to appreciate. Rather, the story is engaging enough to please the more mature readers out there. This 700+ page tome, left me entralled. I could hardly put the book down. And since finishing it, I have already reread several chapters again just to catch as many details as I possibly could. Rowling better get cracking... there are going to be millions of fans anticipating the next book, as this one leaves you wanting more and more. Potter's universe is expanding and what a way for it to grow. Do not hesitate to buy this book if you love a good story... but I recommend walking through the whole series first. Regardless whether this is your first Potter book or just the latest in your collection, I suspect you will find yourself taken by this young man and his amazing adventures.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put this book down! Review: The fourth installment of the Harry Potter series was well worth the wait. I thought that the "romantic" feelings of Harry Potter would be played up, but it wasn't. It is just the right amount for young readers who are about to reach adolescence. All the favorite (and not so favorite) characters are back as well as some new wizards and witches. It was nice to see the Weasley's take a bigger role since they have become a surrogate family to Harry. The ending left several plot lines open that can only be answered in the last of the series. I can't wait for the fifth one.
Rating: Summary: WOW Review: Does this book really need a review? I blasted through the pages, barely able to put it down. J.K. Rowling has done it again. The plot thickens as the Dark One once again attacks Harry. I can't say more without giving away more of the plot. But CONSTANT VIGILANCE and motherly love save Harry for Book 5. Please don't let it be as long between books.
Rating: Summary: What a sequel Review: While I will not reveal who dies or the main focus of the plot let me say this. It is well worth the wait and the long read. Rowling shows the depth of emotions within hercharacters from joy, fear, sorrow, and treachery. This book is the midpoint of the series and sets the stage for the next few books well. I am already waiting for the next book.
