Rating: Summary: Another great read from Rowling Review: TO AWESOME TO DESCRIBE!!!, this book captures you into the story and takes you away from your boring life by twisting your mind into the plot and making you hang on to the edge of your seat as you read faster and faster trying to concentrate and not to let your self finish. THIS BOOK IS AN AWESOME TALE that will not let you put it down and will keep you guessing to the end.
Rating: Summary: Interesting book Review: The Goblet of Fire is a very interesting book about a young wizard who attends Hogwarts, a wizarding school. The book has several good selling points. It is suspensful throughout the entire story and it has very creative characters. The book teaches people of all ages what it truly means to be a friend. Most people will be able to relate with the protagonist and the trials he faces. Although it has several good points there are some things that you might not like about it. Some parts are violent so this isn't a very good book for young kids. Some people might not like it because it is a little bit wordy. The Goblet of Fire is very hard to follow if you have not read the other books first. However, I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: I liked J.K. Rowling's fourth book better then the others that she has written. I felt that it kept me more entertained and I read the book at a much faster pace. There was always excitement in this book and you did not know what would happen next. In this book Harry gets chosen as one of Hogwarts school champions even though he is underage. The tournament still takes place and you get to experience the troubles Harry has to go through ust because someone put his name in the Goblet of Fire.
Rating: Summary: Involved Review: I was drawn into the Harry Potter series by the light-hearted, magical world J.K. Rowling created around the students of Hogwarts School or Witchcraft and Wizardry. The first three books were heavy on school activities, light on the dark, horrible world of Voldemort and plentiful with the fun, magical moments that made me fall in love with Harry, Ron and Hermione. The third book was by far, my favorite of the series thusfar. The fourth book was considerably darker than any of the others and as a result, I enjoyed it less than I did the first three. It's very interesting to see the books becoming more mature as the characters and readers age. I'm finding that I don't really like Harry Potter or his attitude and keep on reading for Ron, Fred and George. I also can't help but feel that Ron and Hermione would (will) be the perfect couple. I'm confident that they'll end up together in the end.
Rating: Summary: Best Book of The Series Review: This is easily the best book of the series and is made even better in the audio version by a superb reading. Rowling understands adolescence and the yearnings and fears of both sexes. I'm a half-century away from asking my first girl to a dance but I though Rowling captured the moments perfectly. In other words, this book is working on multiple levels simultaneously and is not merely a great children's book, it is a great book.
Rating: Summary: the best Review: This is the best Harry Potter book out there so far.... Its so full of excitment and action and clever situations, I simply loved it, cant wait for the movie!
Rating: Summary: A disappointment it was. Review: I really like the first three Harry Potter books and I, like everyone else waited quite a while for the fourth to come out. I was very bored throughout this book and in my opinion it was the worst Harry Potter book of all five so far. There is no Quidditch in this book, and the plot is somewhat obvious at certain times. The author seems to try too hard and the book is just not challenging enough towards the action. It takes too long for one exciting thing to happen and quite a lot of it is quite predictable. It was not worth waiting for and The author focusus a little too much on other characters.
Rating: Summary: Great modern literature Review: This has to be the best book series since Lord Of The Rings. I'm currently on my second reading of it and still cant put it down. J.K. Rowling is a great author and I really hope these books keep coming.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire Review: J.K Rowling did a wonderful job , with class quailty of words. Um, the reason I had rated this book a five is because of detials of the story line. Very interesting life of Harry. I'm now stuck in book five, hopefully book 6,and 7 comes quickly.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter #4 Review Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Scholastic Press, Year 2000, 734 pages, $25.95 J. K. Rowling ISBN# 0-439-13959-7 If you think that being a teenager is hard, try being a teenage wizard! Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley are in their fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This year, the Triwizard Tournament is taking place at Hogwarts. The Triwizard Tournament involves several dangerous tasks to measure a wizard's magical abilities. The Triwizard Tournament hasn't taken place in over a century due to the death toll climbing too high. Harry has been chosen as a competitor in this tournament. The only problem is that Harry didn't enter the contest. Follow Harry as he tries to win the tournament and tries to survive the dangerous tasks ahead. The evil Lord Voldemort will face Harry once again in this exciting book. This time though, Lord Voldemort is backed by his followers, the infamous Death Eaters. J. K. Rowling really pulls you into her world of mystical creatures and magic. The complex, fast-paced plot is intriguing and unforgettable. I really enjoyed this book because the vivid descriptions seem to draw you into the wizarding world. Also, the plot had many twists and turns so the ending was not at all predictable. The book looks at the challenges of being a teenager realistically, which is hard to do, while keeping the magical theme. Humorous dialogue and themes of friendship make Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth book in the series, but in my opinion, the best. Don't take my word for it though. Buy it from your local bookstore or retailer today. Believe me, you won't regret it!
