Summary: J.K. Rowling does it again
Review: This novel is an excellent continuation of the Harry Potter saga. As with the other books we find out more about Harry as well as You-Know-Who and his minions.

From a literary standpoint this book makes an excellent addition. I couldn't get through the book without referring back tothe perivious ooks and marvel at Ms. Rowlings consistency across books.

Fans of Quidditch may be alternately pleased and disappointed with this novel. Quidditch, the sporting event which life at Hogsworth seems to revolve round, makes less of an appearence in this book. We get to see the World Cup game (which is over relatively quickly), but the Quidditch tournament at Hogsworth is replaced by a new event, the Triwizard Tournament. The Tournament pits the top student from each of three wizard academies (yes, Hogsworth has competition) against each other in a dangerous competition for the honor of the schools.

As an avid reader of mysteries I tend to figure out the mysteries well before the end of the book. Ms. Rowling, however, constantly manages to keep me guessing (often wrongly) about who is behind the problems Harry encounters. It is a complete pleasure to be surprised at the end of a Harry Potter book.

If you've enjoyed the previous books you'll love this new addition. If you haven't read the books yet, read them! This is the best series I've read in a long time.

Summary: GREAT BOOK!
Review: This was just as good as any of the Harry Potter series. I got it on Saturday, when it was released, and didn't put it down until i finished it. It took me less than 2 days to read all 700+ pages. It is just as captivating and as magical as the first three novels. I can't wait for the next one! It is a little sad and a little scary, but it is great! If you have not read the Harry Potter series, I sugest you start, but start with the first one. Reading them out of order would be confusing. I don't care how old you are, I am nearly 17, and love them, and both of my parents, 47 and 48, love them as well. They are NOT just children's books!

Summary: JK Rowling does it again!
Review: I always chuckle when I see the "reading level" listed for the Harry Potter series. I am almost 40, and was as anxious as any of Rowling's younger fans for the publication of this installment in the Harry Potter line. As with the three previous books, Ms. Rowling has written an engaging story with exquisite characterization, and no speaking-down to her juvenile audience. We get a more indepth look at many of the Weasleys, adding color and texture to this wonderful family. Indeed, we see additional sides to several old favorite (and not so favorite) characters. I will not include much in the way of details, except to note that as Ms. Rowling warned, this book is considerably darker than the previous three. Younger readers are warned that they may not wish to use this book as their bedtime reading. However, everyone should read it. Not surprisingly, it would be best to read all the books in the series, in order. More so than the previous ones, "The Goblet of Fire" takes for granted the reader's knowledge of what has occurred in the previous 3 years at Hogwarts. P.s. Thank you, Amazon.com, for the painless and efficient method by which I received my copy.

Summary: This book is positively wonderful!
Review: This book lives up to all of our expectations of the Fourth Harry Potter book. This book starts off when Harry getsout of Privet Drive and joins his friend Ron and Ron's family in the Burrow. Then Harry, the Weasley's, (even Bill and charlie,)and Harry's other freind Hermione are off to the Quidditch World Cup. After a spectacular game, (including dancing Veela from Bulgaria and leprechans from Ireland) a crowd of dark wizards terrifies everyone at the world cup and then the Dark Mark is conjured up, ( You-Know-Who's sign)supposedly by Harry's wand. After this strange ending to the quidditch cup, the crowd of wizards returns to Hogwarts, only to find out that there will be no quidditch at Hogwarts this year. The reason for this is that Hogwarts will be hosting the Triwizard tournament, in which Hogwarts will be competing with two other wizarding schools, Beauxbatons and Durmstrong. Even, though wizards only above 17 can enter, someone (possibly Lord Voldemort) has entered Harry into the mysterious Goblet of Fire, and the Goblet has picked him. Harry is bound by a magical contract to the tournament and to three deadly tasks. Will he survive? While Harry is dreaming of Cho, and avoiding Snape, he also has something else worrying him .... the Triwizard Tournament!

Summary: The Wizard strikes again!
Review: The fourth Harry Potter book was worth the wait! I could not put it down until I finished reading the entire book. It was not as detailed as the first three books but I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat more than with any of the others. Readers will find a few new characters. There is something top-secret at the Ministry of Magic that Harry has to find out about. You will have to get a copy to read yourself because if I tell any more it will give the whole book away. It is an AWESOME book!

Summary: Very good, stands up with the rest of the series
Review: Harry's newest adventure is full of mystery and excitement, a little long, but the story couldn't be told in a shorter way. I finnished it 5 hours after I bought it. I could just not put it down! Despite it's length, it is an excellent book.
