Rating: Summary: A good read Review: In this book Harry Potter goes through a series of adventures. Overall a good read. Personally, I think that it could have ended better. I read it in two days.
Rating: Summary: Superb ! Review: What a great book! From the moment I picked it up, I couldn't stop reading it. As is now the trademark of Harry Potter books, The Goblet of Fire is full of twists and turns. And like the rest of the books, clues are given slowly througthout until the end when all is revealed. Usually this is fine by me, but this book was gigantic! 700+ pages is not something you want to try to read in one sitting even though there is always this urge to read just to the next chapter to learn more of the intriguing story. Other than the hefty length of the book, which might be unsuitable for younger readers, The Goblet of Fire is magnificent. All I'll say is that it's about time that Harry started acting like he was going through puberty. Also, there were so many moments when I felt like screaming "Go Harry!" (end of chp.16) or when a tear would come to my eye (Hagrid and Maxime). So if you're a Harry Potter fan (who isn't these days?) get this book now! And if you aren't, well... get it anyway! The Goblet of Fire blows the other three away.
Rating: Summary: HARRY POTTER AND GOBLET FIRE Review: THE BEST BOOK YET SAYS MY 12 YEAR OLD GRANDSON.. GOT THE BOOK JULY 8 AT 10:16 AM FED EXPRESS AND HAD COMPLETED READING BY 5 PM SUNDAY JULY 9.
Rating: Summary: Harry's Education Continues Review: At 734 pages, this book has a satisfying heft, which will please all Potter fans who raced through the three earlier (and shorter) books. In this fourth installment, Harry Potter once again begins a new school year and finds himself quickly immersed in unexpected challenges, dangers and puzzles. The fascinating cast of characters expands as more of Henry's back story emerges and he learns more of the dark events of the past that are shaping his life today. The drama of the three tasks he faces in competition is somewhat forced, but the deeper struggle against Lord Voldemort is compelling reading.
Rating: Summary: It's no Kids book! Review: Well, I just finnished reading it, and WOW it's good. I enjoyed every minute of it. However, I don't know if it is a good book for children. There are alot of scary scenes in it including a couple of tortures and the deaths of more than one prominant character. However for an adult is is spectacular reading. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and I could not put it down untill I was done.
Rating: Summary: The best yet (and the longest too!) Review: This book is wonderful. Its definitely worth the money. I thought my dad wasn't going to get it for me, because I was bored with the first three, as I've already read them 11 times each. I liked the excitement and the idea that Quidditch matches were cancelled and that a special event would take place instead. This is a big book full of secrets and mysteries, and I read the whole book in one day. Not too shabby for an 11 year old kid! Reviewed by Lauren Smith.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is absolutely amazing! I loved it from the beginning to the end. I finished it quite fast, probably because I was so excited. The ending of the book offers quite a surprise....it was not the ending I was expecting at all and believe me...I'm usually very good at predicting what is going to happen in books. This book is full of so many twists and turns it's like riding on a rollar coaster. It's the best and I would recommend it for anyone...young or old. Totally great for stirring up your imagination. BUY IT AND READ IT!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter Strikes Again! Review: The newest installment of the Harry Potter saga is by far the best yet. Starting earlier than all of the pervious novels, the events in the early pages of the book lead to the hair-raising events that occur throughtout this page-turning novel. I like this one the best because it really shows Harry at his best: the brave, kind, and strong hero that graces the covers. J.K. Rowling has really outdone herself with this book. I really hope that the next book comes out soon, and you'll see why if you read this book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat from the openning page to the somewhat cliffhanger ending.
Rating: Summary: Another Winner Review: Muggles and wizards alike will love the new episode of Harry Potter. The action is better than ever. Our old favorites are back. And best of all the whole book moves along at a great clip with even more to love. Rowling's style of writing a good book without regard for age of readers makes this a great book that is loved by children but never talks "down" to kids. At the same time this tale will keep adults up reading all night. One of the best ways for families to enjoy this book is to read it aloud and let the whole family enjoy it together. So, put on your best wizard robes, send an owl to your friends telling them not to disturb you and revel in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."
Rating: Summary: The latest exciting installation Review: This book was a bit slow moving, but considering the fact that it is over 700 pages long, it was pretty great. Not dazzling, but pretty darn good. I dont think that it topped Book Three, but it did bring about a feeling of eager antication for Book 5. You just can't wait to see what happens next! The ending really picques ur curiosity, and you can feel the momentum growing. I found that I couldnt stop reading the book. I finished it in 24 hours, and it was worth it.
