Summary: Compelling Reading
Review: The book was a wonderful read, very hard to put down. I was really impressed at the pacing never a dull moment. The plot was full of action and intrigue each chapter drawing you deeper and deeper into the story and pushing you to continue reading. From the glorious detail of the Quidditch World Cup, Triwizard Tournament and the Yule Ball to a showdown with Voldemort. There were many intriguing plot twists to keep you guessing what is going to happen next. It's very apparent in this book that Harry and his friends are growing up, internal friction and the discovery of the opposite sex are being quietly developed along with the plot to give the main characters a greater depth that adolescents will identify with. There are plenty of new magic spells and interesting creatures to keep the fantasy minded well engaged. The book does indeed have a darker feel to it especially the last third, a character does die and we are given a glimpse that darker times are coming in future of the series but the tone is still light enough that younger readers won't be disappointed.

Summary: wow!
Review: This book was worth the wait. J.K. Rowling really outdid herself this time. I have to say it this book was great, except that at the end it was kind of sad ( I won't ruin the book and tell you what happened). It starts out at Harry's "home" on privet drive with his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon and his cousin Dudley. Harry gets an invitation from Ron Weasly (his best friend) to go to the Quidditch world cup. Harry asks his Uncle Vernon and he says yes (after Harry mentions that his godfather sirius-who is an innocent man said to be a killer-would be upset if he doesn't get what he wants). So Harry is of to the Quidditch world cup, where something really weird (and cool) happens. I'm going to stop here since it's not fair to ruin the book, but read it, it's BRILLIANT! .

Summary: Right on par with the first three
Review: I started reading the book the second I recieved it, and couldn't but it down until i finished. It not only started to tie up the loose ends of the first books( like what the Weasley brothers are always exploding in their room for example) but somehow manages to keep you on the edge of your seat for all 730 odd pages. The only problem is the year wait until the fifth book will hopefully be released.

Summary: Another Gem From Rowling
Review: I have just finished The Goblet of Fire, after reading the first three books. I had worried that, like long-anticipated sequels to films, the new book might lose something in Rowling's eagerness to deliver. Never fear--as Harry Potter becomes increasingly skilled at his craft, so does Rowling. The new tale has been woven even more richly than the others, and includes noticable elements of comedy and tragedy, moral issues, and huge leaps in Harry's inevitable coming-of-age. The characters continue to develop as real people, and the fantastic touch which drew readers like myself into the first books never wavers, from the first page to the last. The volume is definitely huge in comparison to the others; don't let the thickness daunt you. Readers of every age need a sizable installment to keep themselves busy until the next comes in. In a word, it's splendid. Thank you, J. K. Rowling!

Summary: Absolutely Wonderful!
Review: I was spellbound from the moment I pick up this book! It is action packed from the beginning when he-who-must-not-be-named returns and starts causing trouble at the Quidditch World Cup...which Harry happens to be at! The excitment builds as Harry is chosen as a Hogwarts champion in the perilous and mortally dangerous Triwizard Tournament between three wizarding schools, Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Drumstrang (which teaches the dark arts). Harry once again comes face to face with the Dark Lord but this time Voldamort has a new body and a fresh desire to kill. Throw in Peter Pettigrew and a pack of Death Eaters and you get a duel that will leave your spine tingling and your hands trembling!

It is all topped off nicely with the reappearance of Sirius Black and Dobby and the instalment of a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. However, no one reckoned on the appearance of the nosy Daily Prophet reporter Rita Skeeter who will do ANYTHING to dig up dirt on everyone from Hagrid and Hermione to Harry himself!

A must read for long time Potter fans and those who have yet to experience his magic!

Summary: Wow! Abit depressing at the end though...
Review: This books was one of J.K. Rowlings best in my opinion. All the detatils connecting the books lived on in a pleasent way. The climax was action-packed as usual, yet with a depressing out come. The "casualty" is of a person of importance... but it is not any of the "most important people". I reccomend it to anyone who has read the previous books.

Summary: Another Fab review for JK Rowling
Review: Jk Rowling gives another 5 star book to the audience that has been so captivated by Harry Potter's Adventures thus far. A little long, but the book is "enchanting" and keeps the reader attracted to the book!

Summary: Well worth the wait!
Review: Ms. Rowling has maintained her high standards and given us a book every bit as engrossing as the first three in the series. A much darker year for Harry, to be sure. The content seems to be maturing along with its hero. There are plenty of the plot twists and character surprises we've come to expect as well as tidbits about the politics and passions of the wizarding world that make it seem more rich and complex with every page. I have been reading the series at bedtime to my 8 and 10 year old children but they were away at camp when I picked up Book IV so I thought I'd browse through it first. Two days and 700+ pages later my first thought was - "When is Book V coming out and how soon can I put in my order! "

Summary: Harry Potter IV--G of F
Review: Rowling does it again!

Book starts with impact and never lets up. Descriptive writing is once again fantastic. Books takes a decidedly more adult turn, and writing is more intense, with more adult words. Written knowing adults would be a major audience for this book.

Interesting HP/JC religious underpinnings (IMHO).

When is the next one out?

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: It is two a.m., and I have just finished this amazing book. J. K. Rowling has, incredibly, outdone herself again.

I don't know where to start . . . Thank goodness I finally can finally pronounce Hermione's name correctly :)! (p. 419)

Every time I start in on the newest Harry book I always doubt that she will be able to measure up to the last one. I manage to convince myself that this time I really am clever enough to predict the ending. Ms. Rowling has again astounded me with her brilliance.

The Goblet of Fire greatly extends and deepens this epic story of the fight between good and evil. If the Harry Potter series has not yet ensured it's place among the ranks of The Lord of the Rings, and The Narnia epics, it has done so with this book.

Ms. Rowling's writing, as always, is incredibly detailed, drawing us into Harry's delightful world. I especially marveled over the description of the Harry's situation, and feelings in chapter twenty, The First Task. Of course, the climax was incredibly depicted, leaving me shaking with anticipation, crying, and laughing, by turns. The ending, as rumored, is scary . . . delightfully so. Children may be frightened, but not without being heartened by the bravery, warmth, hope, and love that the characters on the side of good exude.

I am so glad that Ms. Rowling shares her talent for creating beauty, mystery, and magic with all of us. I wait anxiously for Harry's next adventure. How are Harry, Ron, and Hermione going to work out their increasingly changing and complex relationships? How will our friends battle the evil that is will threaten their world? How will the characters from outside of Hogwarts and England be involved?
