Summary: Magnifcent yet again!
Review: The twisting and glorious plot of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire once again transfers the reader into a whole other world...the world of magic. The book itself was marvelous! Dumbledore's speech brought tears to my eyes, and Fudge's ignorance brought me fuming!

Vast amounts of Harry Potter fans have been waiting (not very patiently, mind you) for the release of the fourth book...and now that it's here, The Goblet of Fire will force the other three books to stand in it's shadow. And FINALLY...questions fans have been wondering over for the past year were answered! But of course J.K. Rowling leaves the most important, I think, questions to be answered in the next books.

Well, only about a year until Harry Potter Five!

Summary: Wow a great book (and a great deal of pages for a ten)
Review: I thought this was a great book but it was too long for a younger kid who may get discouraged seeing the number of the pages the book has. That was the only drawback. I must say that I cannot wait until the entire series is released.

Summary: 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: Cassettes' are GREAT!
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire cassettes are wonderful. They are narrated by Jim Dale, who also narrated the first 3 Harry Potter books on tape. The cassettes are unabridged, so you won't miss a thing. And Jim does an execellant job of making voices for each character... the evil whisper of Lord Voldermort or the high pitched and perky voice of Hermonie Granger (Harry's best friend)..... The story itself is also great, Harry encounters new adventures (more dangerous than before. There are also mysterous deaths and blossoming love-lifes to worry about! Returning characters and objects, as well as new ones make this story one of the most exciting... I highly reccomend these audio tapes to everyone. (They are really good for long summer car trips or for children who can not yet read books!) Enjoy!

Summary: Extremely Enjoyable
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I feel that this is the best of the series, probally because it was a whole lot longer than the first three. I finished reading today, and the ending was superb. I won't spoil it, but it is surprising. The author really took her time with this and made a wonderful book (I felt that II and III were a bit rushed). Good, rich storyline, lot of twists and surprises. I stongly recommend you to hit the "Add to Shopping Cart" button. You won't regret it.

Summary: Great entertainment
Review: I was not expecting to become a Harry Potter fan when I read the first book. All I can really say about the fourth is I enjoyed it so much I spent my entire Sunday on the couch reading. It was a bit long, but worth it entirely. As a teacher, it is encouraging to see kids interested in reading. Bring on number 5!

Summary: Worth the wait - excellent, still appropriate for kids
Review: We've been waiting anxiously for this title to be released...well worth the wait. I'm also pleased to report that the material is still appropriate for my 9 & 14 year old daughters.

Its caused quite a stir at our house. My two daughters, my wife and I took turns reading a few chapters at a time so no one felt cheated. The first chapter just reaches out and grabs you. At one point it seems that Harry Potter is going to play a non-central role because of the triwizard tournament but he immediately gets thrust into the limelight due to an unexpected turn of events. Snape and others are up to there usual nasty selves though the new Defender of the Dark Arts teacher help balance out their unjust behavior along the way. Also, Voldermolt is back and you get treated to more history of Harry Potters encounter at age one. Enjoy! One note: I highly recommend you read the 3 previous volumes first to fully understand and appreciate this 4th (and best) literary installment.

Summary: The Turning Point
Review: All of your favorite characters are back in this latest installment. We also now know that there will be at least 7 Harry Potter books in the series.

This book followed the successful formulas of the previous Harry Potter books. Start with a bit of boring Muggle Life, abuse of the Dudleys, and move forward to Hogwarts.

We do get to see a lot of different character developments in this book. Harry, Ron, and Hermionie all have become more 3 dimensional. We see them attacking issues other than the current problem on hand, and we begin to get a feel of what they're thinking inside, and where they will be going.

One character that could have been used more powerfully was Sirius. Harry's new Godfather is back, and there was an early attempt to get him deeply invovled in the story. But somehow, Sirius was not there when we needed him most.

I would compare this book to Empire Strkes Back's place in the Starr Wars trilogy, as this book moves a bit away from a simple feel good story, to something setting the scenes for the coming books.

It was very enjoyable reading the book. The magic is back.
