Rating: Summary: it is awesome! Review: i like it because of the Quiditch games.
Rating: Summary: Best of the 4 Review: Of all 4 of JK Rowling's books, this was definitely the best. The beginning is captivating and grabs you from the very instant. The characters engaged in different challenges because of the special events at Hogwarts. To me, that was particularly refreshing and exciting to see, not only because book 4's plot differed from the first 3 books, but also because Ms. Rowling let us into a new perspectives of her wizard world, including other wizard schools. You cannot put the book down for a second towards the end because it's so gripping. The other 3 just didn't have that power. Number 4 by far surpasses the rest and explains a great deal between the relationships of the characters. I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: A Great Book! Review: I could not put this book down: I read it for two days straight! It was imaginative, witty and suspenseful, just as you would expect from any J.K. Rowling/Harry Potter book. The ending wasn't happy, as they usually are, but I am dying to read the next addition to the series! I recommend this to any preteen who enjoys science fiction and magical things!
Rating: Summary: A haunting adventure that will have you begging for more. Review: "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is probably the best in the Harry Potter series so far. It is extremely dark and provides an adventure with more history and information about the magical world and the meaining of good vs. evil.PLOT SUMMARY: Fourteen-year-olds Harry, Ron, and Hermione are excited when Arthur Weasley gets prime seating tickets to the International Quidditch World Cup. After their exciting and intense trip to the Cup, they return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their fourth year. Harry is excited about competiting in Quidditch for the House Cup, but is disappointed when he learns Quidditch has been canceled, due to the international school Triwizard Tournament competition, that involves three magical schools competiting against each other in magical and dangerous tasks. There are three Champions and the winner receives the Triwizard Tournament trophy and one thousand galleons. You must be at least seventeen years old to compete, so Harry thinks he doesn't have a chance. But when his name is mysteriously picked from the Goblet of Fire which reveals who the Champions from the three schools will be, Harry has no choice but to compete...even though there is already another Hogwarts Champion. Now with the help of Ron and Hermione, it's up to Harry to complete the three tasks without making himself look like a complete fool in front of everyone. Little does he know that this is all just a set up to bring back one of the darkest Lords in the history of magic... OVERALL THOUGHTS: I've read all four Harry Potter books to-date and this is definitely the best one yet. It is full of suspense and complex twists/plots. There is still some of JK Rowling's witty, original sense of humor but since "Goblet of Fire" is more dark, there is less and this is a more serious novel. It is very intense and dark, the climax is pretty frightening for young children...so parents beware: you might want to read this with your very young children or wait until they are a little older to be able to understand everything. If this is what "Goblet of Fire" is like, I can only hope for better with "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". Once again, JK Rowling has amazed us with her writing skills and mastered the art of writing a fantastic novel. I highly recommend "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". Score: 100/100 A+
Rating: Summary: A WonferFul Book For Many Different Ages! Review: This book is the fourth book in the Harry Potter Series. Although this book has a recommended age preference of about 9 - 14 years of age, this book can be used in such settings where there is a lower level of reading develpoment in older teenagers. The great thing about that is when there youngersters who do not read at the avergare reading level or are below the standards that are prevailent in the grading system, teavhers can use this book in gain an interest in reading in such a populace by referencing the currewnt Harry Potter movies that are doing so well in the movie industry today. Hopefully the movies can be used to gain a greater interest in reading by children of all ages because this is eually as good as the movie if not better! This is a wonderful book that should be found in all children class room settings.
Rating: Summary: Best Yet, I read it 4 times!! Review: This book is so exciting and gives the old He-who-must-not-be-named stories a new twist. Unprediciable and full of turns and twists that will make you wonder how anyone could think of it this is a instant classic. Every charactor has a story, every one creeper than the last, and so complex too. A another great fantasy with a touch of mystery.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: Millions of fans formed never-ending lines at their nearest bookstore, waiting for midnight and the release of the fourth Harry Potter book: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Of course, I was among them, and I think that everyone patiently waiting with me would agree that J. K. Rowling's fourth and currently last book in the Harry Potter series is by far the best and most exciting. When fourteen-year-old Harry Potter returns to school for his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Albus Dumbledore, headmaster at Hogwarts makes a startling announcement that the Inter-House Quidditch Cup will not take place this year, but Hogwarts will be hosting the Triwizard Tournament. As Dumbledore explains, "The Triwizard Tournament was established some seven hundred years ago as a friendly competition between the three largest European schools of wizardry: Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. A champion was selected to represent each school, and the three champions competed in three magical tasks. The schools took turns hosting it every five years, and was generally agreed to be a most excellent way of establishing ties between young witches and wizards of different nationalities..." During the Halloween feast, the three champions are chosen by the Goblet of Fire, but nothing can ever go smoothly at Hogwarts now that Harry's there. Somehow, Harry is chosen as the fourth champion even though there are only supposed to be three. Harry is obligated to partake in the tournament because anyone whose name comes out of the Goblet must participate. Harry, as usual, is very successful in completing each of the tasks. However, something very powerful and very evil awaits Harry at the end of the third task. I won't say what happens because I want everyone to be just as surprised as I was. I highly recommend Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to anyone who desires a long, but lively novel to read. (However, if you haven't read the other three Harry Potter books, then I suggest that you read those first!)
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: I am a fifth grade student at Waldron Mercy Acadamy (S.B.)The book I read was a fabulous, high-action novel by J.K. Rowling. In Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire, a once-in-a-lifetime oppertunity comes when the Triwizard Tornament comes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Triwizard Tornament is a tornament that Hogwarts and two other schools students by the name of Beaxbatons and Durmstrang are competing for the Triward Cup and 1,000 galleons (wizard money). Only one seventh year person from each school competes in the contest. Somehow, in his forth year, Harry gets picked as one. Even though he didn't intend to get chosen, everyone thinks he did. He survives the first two tasks, but after the third and final task meets the one who everyone fears to speak his name-Lord Voldemort himself. This great page-turner tells of all the troublesome and miscievis he does. It is a real mystery about who really got him into the dangerous tornament and for what reason. I recomend this book greatly for people of all ages.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: I am a fifth grade student at Waldron Mercy Acadamy (A.M.B). The main characters are Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Harry lives with his mean aunt, uncle, and cousin who keep from him that he is magic for 11 years. Ron comes from a whole family of wizards (pure-blood)but he is a klutz. Hermione comes from non-magic parents (Muggle-born), but she is quite brainy. In their fourth year at Hogwarts (a castle of magic) Harry's name, somehow, get's into the Goblet of Fire. He thinks somebody is trying to kill him. But,to everyone's surprise, he does quite well in the three tasks. This book is GREAT!!! I HIGHLY suggest it!!
