Rating: Summary: Long but excellent read Review: This is a pivotal book in the Harry Potter series. The story-line is impressive and the characters wondeful. As usual, the true villain, besides You-Know-Who, is a complete surprise. Hermione's character is growing up in this book and we can expect plenty more from her in the future. Yes, there is a death in the book but it did not come as a big surprise as to who would die. The topic itself is dealt with grace and sensitivity. I would not fear allowing my kids to read it.Looking forward to the next book in the series already.
Rating: Summary: This Book Rocked! Review: AWESOME! This book looked big when I got it, but I started it right away. I read for hours straight, and it was great! The same or better then the good previous books, and it had a really good plot! Lots of twists, turns, and mysteries! It sort of gives you clues for you to work out along the way! I would reccomend this book to anyone!
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT PIECE OF WORK! Review: Harry Potter #4 is an amazing book! Like the others, it has all the antics of Harry, Heromine and Ron. Not to mention new sinister characters. The plot grabs ahold of the reader and doesn't let go! You won't want to stop reading it once you pick it up! Would recommend to anyone! Young or old! Great for all ages.
Rating: Summary: Harry IV's a Must-Have Review: The latest in Harry Potter's magical adventures has definitely lived up to (and surpassed) its expectations. Like its three predecessors, it's a book that you just can't put down. Although it is the longest Potter book yet at 752 pages, each page is packed with interesting and imaginative dialogue, characters, and situations. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry and his fellow fourth-years become more interested in romances that sometimes cause conflict. Harry's still wary of You-Know-Who, trying to be on guard at all times. These worries are compounded when his scar begins to throb again and someone makes the "Dark Mark" with Harry's wand-the sign of Voldemort! But once Harry gets back to Hogwarts, there's too many other things for Harry to concentrate on-the usual class load, Professor Snape's constant watch, and of course, his crush on a certain female Quidditch player...Then, there's the huge wizarding event that will take place at Hogwarts for the first time in years! Harry tries to stay out of the limelight, but is soon unwillingly and mysteriously thrown into the spotlight-and into perilous danger. And then, of course, are the hilarious antics of the Weasley twins, the adventures of Harry and his two best friends, Ron and Hermione, Neville Longbottom's klutzy catastrophes, the taunting from Harry's nemesis, Draco Malfoy, and the other reasons why J.K. Rowling's books are so successful. However, unlike the previous books, some parts of ...Goblet of Fire concentrate on some scary aspects of the Dark Arts, something that parents of small children should take in consideration. And as the author revealed before the release of the book, someone does die. Nevertheless, the new characters that appear in Book 4 are just as crazy and unique as all of the others. Some of the new characters come into play as Harry's view of the wizarding world expands and he and his friends meet wizards from other countries. Like the other Harry Potters, ...Goblet of Fire is a must-read!
Rating: Summary: Fourth year is the best yet! Review: I'm seven years old and this is my first book review. Even though there were some scary parts, I think that this was the best Harry Potter book so far. There were some old friends and some new people, too. Crabbe and Goyle are scarier than you think and there is a new teacher at Hogwarts. There were some exciting things and some really funny parts. Anyone who liked the Sorcerer's Stone, the Chamber of Secrets, and the Prisoner of Azkaban will love the Goblet of Fire! I liked it so much I read all 734 pages in two days!
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: At almost 750 pages, Goblet is bigger and better than the first three Potter books. J.K. Rowling has masterfully set up her magical world for the next three books to unfold Harry's story. I can't wait for number 5. (Yes, I finished this one in 2 days)
Rating: Summary: Very Good Book....Try It!... Review: This book is the best book out of the four Harry Potter books.Joanne Rowling plots are really worth trying...Her imagination is really great. Hogwarts has enter my dreams every night since I read the book....Harry Potter Books are really worth buying.
Rating: Summary: A GREAT BOOK! Review: A great book that has not only kept up with the previous books but also set future tracks for the upcoming books. A wonderful story that will show anybody that they can do anything. I got the book and read it the firt day! It was phenomenal. Rowlings has done it again, showing kids everywhere to believe and read. From her imagination to her outstanding style. I hope everybody enjoys this book as much as i did!
Rating: Summary: marvelous (as expected!) Review: it was superb. i bought it yesterday and read it until this morning. it was just as easy a read as the first three...but this one goes deeper into more "adult" matters. it's a tad more serious at times, and there's a nice running theme about the reliability of the media (or lack thereof). regardless of the heavier themes in this book, it still remains nothing but a pure joy to read. i heartily suggest this book to anybody who has already fallen in love with harry potter. and if you haven't...start with the first book! no fair cheating!
Rating: Summary: Still under Harry's spell! Review: JK Rowling did not disappoint this adult reader with her much-anticipated new book. I received it Saturday afternoon, and could not put it down until finishing on Sunday afternoon! As predicted, this book is much darker than the previous three -- Harry's challenges have become more complex, and plotlines more sinister. The familiar characters that surround him also reveal themselves more fully. I was once again captivated by Rowling's intricate plot, surprise twists, and humor. Can't wait for the next one!
