Summary: It was Most Enjoyable!
Review: I really enjoyed the book! I received the book yesterday (via amazon.com) and I tried my best to savor it...to let it last...but alas! I kept turning the pages and before I knew it, I had finished the book!

Because it went so fast, you know that it is good! Wonderfully written, great moral lessons for children (such as the value of friendship, standing up for what you think is right) and it hits close to home for what young people in that age range experience (such as early heart pangs with respect to dating).

Summary: Rowling does it again!
Review: Well, I bought the book at midnight and was wondering if I would be disappointed since I had such high hopes for this book, and Ms. Rowling and such a huge task to compete with, with her other outstanding books. Well less than 48 hours later, I am here to say that the book lives up to the expectations...I couldn't put it down. All the traits that made the other books so good are all here, and to add to it, I must say that the ending makes you want to have the next book yesterday. I don't want to give away any of the story, I'll just say that I can't wait for the next Harry Potter to arrive in stores, and I'll be waiting in line again to have my copy at 12:01am. And to all the people that say this is a children's book...this is a 31 year old child that loves Harry Potter.

Summary: Lookin' good
Review: Haven't finished the book yet, but it looks good so far. My only fear with the Harry Potter series is that is turns into a formula: Voldemort rises again from his defeat in the last book, makes attempts on Harry's life, but is defeated again in a climactic battle at the end. Hopefully Rowling will find some way carrying the plot all the way to the seventh book without repeating the same story line. Just a minor thing, though. Overall I'm very happy with the book and with the series as a whole.

Summary: Not disappointed yet!
Review: Well, it took me a while to buy into the Harry Potter craze. I was determined to last out as long as possible, but I finally caved in a month or so ago and ended up reading the first three books in the series in one weekend. As a child, I loved the Chronicles of Narnia and the children's books by Roald Dahl. I found Rowling's Potter series to be no less enjoyable, although her style is quite different from both Lewis and Dahl. I felt I might be disappointed with the fourth installment because I've come to expect so much of the series. Thankfully, I was not. Whether it is because I know and love the characters now or because this book is even better than the first three, I loved it! And I could not believe that I had gotten through over 700 pages of it and still wanted more. Admittedly, there is a lot of explanation of background material, as with the other three books, and often what seems obvious is spelled out, but this makes sense considering that the series is written primarily for children (but enjoyed by all!). So, regardless of what some critics may say, I think that the only things Rowling encourages with this series are the love of reading and the desire to be brave, fair, and kind-hearted. I'd say that if you haven't bought your copy yet, buy it now. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Review: Excellent! Maybe the best of the four. Ms. Rowlings gets better and better. I read the first book because my daughter wanted to read it and I wanted to know more about the book first. Usually I just skim new books for her but I was soon lost in a world of wizards, witches and muggles. We quickly bought the 2nd and 3rd and waited impatiently for the 4th. Can't wait for the next installment.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Review: All I can say is, this book was definetly worth waiting for. Since I got it yesterday, I haven't been able to put it down, and now that I am finished, I don't know how I will wait for the next installment! The action, mystery, and magic of this book is what makes it so good! If you don't already own this book, make sure you get it!

Summary: Rowling's writing matures along with Harry.
Review: This fourth book is more mature, and a lot darker than the previous books. Harry is fourteen now, and the tone of the book is older, too. Rowling continues to build Harry's world, with more detail and deeper characters. This piece of the story is gripping, with better dramatic pacing and a sense of real peril for a change...

Summary: Excellent, exciting. Bone chilling. Can't wait till five!
Review: The fourth installment of the Harry Potter Series is not to be missed. I won't be cruel and give away ANYTHING, not a single syllable! This book is intense and deserves every last bit of praise it gets! Not one single word is wasted and it's what we expect from this terrific author.

Summary: Another great trip to magic land
Review: I have been reading fantasy and scifi for 20 years. The Harry Potter books are a great read for people of any age. The fourth book continues to be intriging all the way through. It is great to be able to share your excitment with a child and be talking the same language. The stories are becoming more complex as the character ages which makes the stories een more interesting. I wish Rowling to write faster, I want to see what happens next. This book (and the others in the series) are a must read - and while your at it, read it with a child.

Summary: Harry Potter Works his magic.....Again!
Review: OK, I'm finally over my I'm-too-old-to-be-reading-this-Harry-Potter-book problem. After I read the first chapter to the little girl I babysat, I was hooked. I had to run out right away and get the whole set, which I read in about 2 days. I simply couldn't wait too read what would happen next. When finally the 4th book was due to come out, I was so excited! I got my copy, and I just kept reading until it was finished. Not too give away and secrets or anything, but this book lives up to all the hype and hoopla surrounding its release. It is an exciting, fastpaced, action packed, can't-put-it-down-until-your-done book. I loved it, and I hope that J.K. Rowling will continue her wonderful work with the harry Potter series, I alreadt can't wait for the 5th!
