Summary: Incredible!
Review: Wow. This book would unquestionably be J.K. Rowlings most advanced book. The plot is more violent, and were I a little younger than my 16 years I'd probably be having nightmares. I would suggest anybody who detests long suspense await the coming of the next novel as this book does leave you hanging, but nearly drooling over the scent of what's to come. Wonderful book!

Summary: A Thrilling Journey
Review: A chapter a night at bedtime was too slow for me, so I had to plow through the entire book over the weekend. Ms. Rowling has not only done it again by presenting our favorite characters from the first three books, she has added real thrills and excitement. As Harry grows older (and presumably his fans), he encounters even more dangerous and mysterious foes. I don't want to give away a single plot point (and the plot is thick in volume four), but be prepared for a really scary ending that has me already anticipating Harry's fifth year.

Summary: Five Stars for Harry!
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is an intense book. It captures the essence of fantasy, action, sci-fi, and mystery all in one BIG (752 pgs) book. Harry, Ron, and Hermione go on many adventures, and some new people show up in the book. I recommend this book for all ages, and I'm not going to give away any secrets of it because you should enjoy the book for yourself!

Summary: Harry Potter IV another sheer delight
Review: Once again, J.K. Rowling provides us with a most exhilirating and satisfying tale as she leads our beloved hero through his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry. Though, as rumored, the book is significantly darker (and longer) than the first three, it retains the humor, imagination, and charm that have become the author's signature. Rowling also does an admirable job in developing her returning characters and their relationships with each other- expect love triangles of all sorts! My only qualms with this otherwise delightful adventure, would be with its lengthiness (a more tightly-knit story would have increased its appeal) and its ending (which I found a bit unconvincing). All in all, however, a great story which will convince all its readers that it was worth the wait.

Summary: Fabulous!
Review: Greatest book in the series yet. Longer but more intense and gratifying.

Summary: The Goblet is A-Fire!
Review: It is official . . . with the release of the fourth of seven books that make up this mystifying Epic, J.K. Rowling has established herself as arguably the most spectacular creative writer working today. For the fourth time, Rowling has composed a plot of such impermeable solidity that one cannot help but to become spellbound with awe at her unquestionable literary genius. In this novel, Harry Potter shows definite signs of acquiring much mental, physical, and magical maturity. Along with help from his good friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, Harry learns invaluable lessons pertaining to stealing golden eggs from deadly Horn-tailed dragons, battling evil wizards who want to kill him, and, yes, Harry even begins to notice what was once to him an elusive species of magical animal: Girls! And maturity is what Harry desperately needs, for his antipode of power--the all-evil Lord Voldemort--finds a way to come back to power. But not only has You-Know-Who found a way to attain rebirth through a rite of horrible wickedness; He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has, too, found a way to overcome his one weakness . . . no longer does the Power of Love, which Harry's mother bestowed opon her son with her fatal sacrifice, protect Harry from Voldemort. Therefore, Voldemort is back, and he is even more horrible than he has ever been. Hold on to your broomsticks, Potter fans! For this is the pivotal Potter book that will leave readers sitting on the edge of their Firebolts desperately awaiting the next Hogwarts school year in which the protectors of what is Good hope to unite so to thwart Voldemort and his Death Eaters' potential reign of destruction.

Summary: Starts slowly, but...
Review: The book was a fine installment of the Potter series, but I found that it was nowhere near the consistently high level of the first three. Although I am pleased to say that I hated Draco Malfoy and Uncle Vernon as much as ever, they have remained the same characters with the same functions and quirks as in other Potter books. One might expect even the lowly Draco to develop somewhat over the 1600 pages that thus far constitute the series. The author does remarkably, however, in the development of the young protagonists in the story - tackling now more of the adolescent angst and trials faced by normal, non-wizarding teens. Every now and then I paused from my reading to gather my thoughts and recall that this is no longer an 11-year-old Harry!

After the first two-thirds of the volume I was a little wary of finishing it, at least with the zeal and anticipation with which I had greeted the beginning. However, last 200 pages of the book are Potter story telling at its best, but this quality was somehow both enhanced and disturbed by the slow exposition and development.

Despite this, I do love Ms. Rawlings' ability to keep me teased and surprised by the eventual outcome of all of her stories. She has the ability to drop a bomb on the reader with frighteningly few pages left in the book, yet still quickly and efficiently defend and even render completely sensible this move.

I will read this again... ALL 734 pages!

Summary: It's a great ride!
Review: Muggles for Potter (and for J K Rowling) will not be disappointed! Ms Rowling remains true to her characters, introduces plenty of new ones, and brings back some old not to be forgotten ones as well. The ride is well worth the 700+ pages. When can we expect number 5?

Summary: HP IV is a vivid and wonderful read
Review: J.K. Rowling has done it again! The long-awaited fourth part tothe Harry Potter series is as spine tingling and action-packed as thefirst three. Harry is now 14 and has to take on a whole new level of courage and danger and he stands up to these new (and some old) challenges as a man and not the child that he appears to be. The entire wizarding world are proud of his new accomplishments. If you love Harry, Ron, Hermonie and the rest of the Hogwarts staff and students this is the best one yet! In this installment you'll learn more about You-know- whose followers and lots of plot twists, turns and trickery! Read it! Not just because of me or because of the hype but because it is THAT good!
