Summary: EXCELLENT!
Review: J. K. Rowling does it again! We had to buy 2 ! Couldn't put it down, the plot is excellent.

Keep up the good work JK. We can't wait to see number 5!

Summary: Great entertainment
Review: Darker and more of a cliffhanger than the previous three books. Couldn't put it down - suspense builds throughout. Lots of new characters but the return of a few introduced in book 3. I bought the book for my child but didn't think of it as a kids book while reading.

Summary: If you dont already own a copy buy one soon!
Review: This book is great! I would advise every one to read it.The only problem is it gets a little scarey near the end of the book. I wont tell you what happens that is scarey but the scarey part is near the end. It didnt scare me but i am 13 so it wouldnt but for younger kids i would recomend skipping that part or if you are the parent and you are reading it to your child you might want to change that part so that it isnt as scarey. i think that kids 8-16 would enjoy this book the most.

Summary: Rich plotting, familiar friends & a tragic death
Review: Wonderfully plotted, with rich intertwining of characters and events. I must mention, however, that someone does die, tragically, (no spoilers here) and that this may be traumatic for very young children - PLEASE preview, parents, before reading aloud to the real young kids. The book is well worth the wait!

Summary: Wonderful book for parents, parents need to review
Review: I loved this book (as I've loved the series), and read it far later in the night than I should. I found this the best in the series. As a 30 year old, I found the themes complex and interesting. At ten years old, though, I think this novel would have given me nightmares. I think that anyone who reads this book to a child should be commended, but should be prepared to spend the extra time after a session to make sure that the child is okay with the going-ons.

Still, I very much look forward to reading this novel, and the whole series, to my (eventual) kids.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the absolute best book I've ever read! I loved the other three books in the series too, but I think this one can top them all. I wished it could go on forever, but like all good things it had to come to an end. If your looking for incredible books to read the "Harry Potter" series is for you!

Summary: Up to Snuff?
Review: I got this book on Saturday (thanks to the amazon.com shipping special they had) and I finished it on sunday (thanks to me reading fast). I finished the book, and I didn't know what to say. I had read the 3 previous books, and was expecting a lot from this book, perhaps unfairly so, and this book just didn't live up to what I was expecting.

First, I might have an unfairly biased opinion seeing as how I am probably "outside" the intended age of the readers of this book, but when you find great literature such as Jk Rawlings has written, I don't think there should be any age limit or bounds on who can read it.

Having said that, I thought the first 3 books were magical, whimsical, and touched off something in each of us that very few authors can do. I think that this 4th book didn't quite capture that same feeling; it left me feeling as though the author really pushed this book out; and struggledto meet a page limit.

I wasn't exceptionally impressed, I think that the characters need a breath of fresh air, and I think the book needs to break out of the mold it is getting into. The first 3 books "worked" very well, the whole land and setting were new, and the concepts were new. JK Rawlings granted new characters and new things in each book, but I sort of think that she needed something drastically new for this book, and she didn't do it.

I got sort of tired reading this book; it needed more, alhtough it was a lot longer than the last 3 books, I don't think it covered as much as 1 of the previous books. I have the feeling that Rawlings was pushed to make this book long, and that the story didn't come from her heart, but rather from her mind. She didn't appear to be writing to have fun; but rather writing to meet a deadline.

I know the beginning of this review is not very favorable for the book; but overall this book was a good book. I would definitely suggest buying it and reading it; you will still be amazed and delighted by the scenery adn setting; the characters are teh same, and the evil is eviller.

I just expected a little more from this author.

Summary: GOBLET OF FIRE IS EXCELLENT; BUY IT NOW
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, chronicling the fourth year in Harry's life at the Hogwarts school of magic, has followed the trend of the other books in the series: they get better, not worse. The character that dies wasn't really major before this book, and neither was Harry's crush (although both of them had been mentioned more than once and as Mrs. Rowling said, "careful readers of book three will know the girl"). I didn't think the beginning of the book was only okay, but it got much better. Fans of the series won't be disappointed, and the book is understandable to first-timers, as well. Anyway, it's a great book, and you should all buy it now.

Summary: Best of the Series to Date
Review: Harry and his mates are growing up, and this adds much to the complexity of the new book. Not only are there myriad twists and turns in the plot of Goblet of Fire, but also the 14 year old hormone bank kicks in and boy/girl relations turn from pure friendship to romance.

All of the old characters return, plus several new ones are introduced, such as Mad Eye Moody. The book is long, 730+ pages, and the plot and characters are well defined and embellished, and the list of magical creatures and spellbinding action grows on.

This is the richest of the books so far, as Harry is tested almost beyond his capacity. The dark scenes are treated with care and compassion. Feelings play a large role in this tale of winning, losing and playing the game.

Can't wait for the next episode!

Summary: Books that span Genres and Age Groups
Review: Just finished reading The fourth novel, it was by far the best in my opinion; constantly answering questions from previous novels as well as constantly creating even more questions for her future works to unravel.

Just Buy It!
