Summary: Buy It Now!
Review: You don't need to have an airline ticket to go to some jungle or whatever to have a great journey. This book gives you a spectacular adventure WITH Harry Potter (you are not alone havining fun!) Oh, you may ask, what so good about it? It's very very exciting! About the Triwizard Tournament, the returning Voldemort, oh yeah, and The Quidditch World Cup with the best seeker in the world...Viktor Krum! (I can't tell you everything or I might spoil your fun!) Usually a lot of American children don't like to read, and it's a good chance for them to read! Plus.... it makes their imagination fly through the air. If you don't buy it... you'll probably regret for the rest of your life (maybe... not that long.) So... buy it NOW! To show-off a little, I am a 11 years old, going to be 12, and I finished it yesturday!

Summary: The best one yet!
Review: This is by far the best book in the Harry Potter series. What a ride! I was on the edge of my seat for hours as I watched Harry go through the most dangerours series of trials he has ever encountered. As usual, the plot was incredibly tight -- I looked for the clues, I found the clues, and yet I couldn't figure out what was going to happen next. Nothing is predictable in this book. As soon as I read the chapter on the goblet of fire (chapter 16) I new I wasn't going to be able to set it down. (I finally finished it at 2:30 a.m.) I was glad to see that some of Voldemort's supporters were brought out into the open and "unmasked." At least we know that there is a group that is still loyal to the Dark Lord, and that some of them are in pretty influential positions. Now maybe there will be a little less pretense and politics and a little more action in the Ministry. We will all just have to wait and see how Harry and Dumbledore tackle the evil that has been released. There is so much more to this story that waits to be told. Thank you, J. K., for the best one yet!

Summary: The Fourth, Fantastic, Harry Potter Book
Review: The fourth Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, has finally arrived. As she proved with the first three books, J.K. Rowling can write one heck of a story. What's even more amazing is that she keeps the action going for over seven hundred pages. I've been impressed by these books for a number of reasons. The storytelling is excellent. The books, though intended for youngsters, are universal, and do not talk down to the reader, whatever age. The characters are appealing. And Rowling has managed to wean kids off the soundbite size books like the Goosebumps or Babysitting Club series.

Rowling has said that she planned the fourth book to be pivotal, and so it is. There is an action-packed Quiddich World Cup (Ireland vs. Bulgaria) and a wizarding contest. A muckraking journalist with an acid-green pen keeps turning up. Dobby, the loopy house-elf makes a few appearances. More of Hagrid's background is uncovered. Dumbledore has hired a new Defence Against Dark Arts teacher who really knows his stuff. We learn about the Department of International Magical Cooperation at the Ministry of Magic, and meet students from other wizarding schools, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Harry and Ron have to find dates for the ball. And the stakes have gone up in this book, evil has returned to the wizarding world, and Harry must face more dire and mysterious situations than ever before. And, yes, there is a death, handled skillfully.

With any luck, the size of this book will give Rowling time for a well-earned vacation as she works on number five. However, a movie is in the works, which is a shame, since every reader can already see Harry, and movies are incomplete, while books contain the whole story. More unfortunate, though, is the fact that the merchandising will come, the toys in the happy meals, the endless advertisements for junk. The coming marketing has been likened to noise which will overwhelm the reader quietly enjoying the books themselves. But here's the rest of the story: the movie will pass on to the video rental places and be tucked into the "family viewing" area and the merchandise will all end up in the landfill when the next thing comes along; but to readers, the books will be in our heads, and on our bookshelves and will be shared with children yet to come.

Summary: More than 5 stars!
Review: Friday night I was up till 3 A.M. with this book, and the onlyreason I put it down was because I had things to do in themorning. J.K.Rowling has outdone herself this time, with an almost epic novel that is much different from the others in the series, much darker and scarier(if you've read it you know the part I'm talking about). J.K. doesn't follow the usual format of her books either. This time it takes much longer for Harry to return to Hogwarts, and the events that take place are not the norm, for example, no Quidditch matches. A thoroughly exciting book, and a must-read for all ages...

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: The latest Harry Potter book was a wonderful book. After getting it the first day I couldn't put it down! I read it within the next day! Even though this book seems really long when looking at it, when reading the book the many pages fly by because you get so caught up with the characters and story plot. The storyline, like the others in the series, is well woven, keeping the reader thinking how things happened and trying to think what will happen to the characters next. This book is great for all ages, being well-written with well developed characters. It is also full of adventure and excitement. The recommended ages is 6-12, but I'm sure everyone will enjoy this book. A Must Read!

Summary: Incredible
Review: There is really only one word I can think of to describe the latest Harry Potter book; incredible. The author has once again created lovable and believable characters while still maintaining the quality of the story. Truly, Ms. Rowling has out-done herself once again. This book kept me reading into the wee hours of the morning. I can honestly say that this is a must-read for anyone who is craving a good book.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Review: I think this is the best so far in the Harry Potter Series.

Although the action starts a little slow in the beginning, once the 'ball gets rolling' it is definitely difficult to stop it. The action in several of the chapters can make you feel as though you can't turn the pages fast enough.

The death of, well, you'll find out, is handled with the delicacy and seriousness it deserves, and the characters responses are quite appropriate.

There are a great many lessons to be learned from the fourth year at Hogwarts, and I am anxiously awaiting Harry's transformation to the fifth year student-- and he who must not be named.

All in all, it was definitely a fast read, and the plot can sustain the pages-- a coup for any medium, let alone children's fiction.

Summary: Goblet of Fire Fizzles.
Review: This fourth outing in the Harry Potter series is the first to suffer from the overwhelming success of the first three. Although it is the longest of the three, it covers the least ground in terms of storyline. While Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has compelling descriptions of the Quidditch World Cup, as well as a wizardly competition that unleashes many new spells and creatures, somehow it feels like the series has lost its heart. Yes, adolescent angst comes to Harry and his Hogwarts companions, but it is a superficial storyline, which somehow feels unworthy of Rowling's talents. A storyline about the Daily Prophet, the wizarding world's tabloid newspaper feels like the author's attempt to take a stab at the unwelcome attention she has received from the press. The book has been described as "pivotal" but has the unsatisfying feeling of being filler material rather than having substance. There is a "tune in tomorrow" quality to book IV that leaves the reader unsatisfied. As a HUGE fan of the first three books, I may hold the author to impossibly high standards...but those standards were set by her previous efforts. I will still look forward to Book V, but with hope that it returns to the heart of the matter..Harry's quest for identity and for family.

Summary: A very exciting read
Review: Destined to become a true classic. Witty, engaging and imaginative, the Harry Potter series only gets better with each new installment. We now start to glimpse the grand scheme of the entire series in Book Four as Lord Voldemort regains his power and his followers -- and only Harry, Dumbledore and the gang at Hogwarts can stop him. Some really wonderful character development in this new book and some surprising revelations, especially with regards to the Weasleys, Ron, Hermione and poor Neville Longbottom (can't wait to see what happens to him!). The author has done a superb job in setting up what's to come in the next three books and correlating it with what's happened in the previous three books. I can't imagine a better series to introduce children to the thrills of reading!
