Summary: Keeps Getting Better and Better
Review: Like the first three books, _Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire_ is well-written, well-plotted, and an instant classic. The characters and objects in this fantasy world of J.K. Rowling's creation are both fascinating and detailed. In this fourth book, young Harry Potter faces the greatest danger yet, as the evil Lord Voldemort rises to power once again. Harry is in danger from everything from misinformation to betrayal, which only makes the humorous parts more amusing and the drama more suspenseful. Who will Harry go with to the Yule Ball? What is the Goblet of Fire? Who won the World Cup Quidditch game? I recommend that you find out for yourself in the best book about Harry Potter yet.

Summary: The Magic of Growing Up
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire provides an engrossing midpoint to this phenomenal series, gathering up threads from the past, and foreshadowing the role of Harry and his friends in an increasingly adult future. The magic in this book is inspired, delightful, and in some cases horrifying. The magic of the entire series is its ability to portray the challenges of growing up, and of using responsibly the awesome powers of the adult world. This book vividly portrays those who have met the challenge, those who have failed, and the world-altering consequences of such failure. Although this book is full of mischievous magic that will delight children, it also contains curses, hexes and a climactic graveyard scene that may terrify them. It touches on death, torture, racism, genocide, "human" rights, the nature of power, and evil itself. These themes, however, are balanced by compassion, friendship, loyalty, morality, family, and love. The Harry Potter series introduces young children to the "dark" world that adults have created, but also shows them that they have the power to reshape the world to their liking. Questions of how to use this ultimate magic are raised throughout this book. Answers, however, are rare. That is a task for adults, and for the rest of the series.

Summary: Harry Potter IV
Review: As an adult reader of Harry Potter, I have an interesting perspective on these entertaining and by no means childish books. While the fourth in the series is by far the longest, it does not lack any of the mystery and exciting supsense that were prevalent in the first three. I strongly reccommend this series to those who are young, and especially to those who are still young-at-heart.

Summary: Harry Potter strikes again.
Review: This book certainly changes the way I look at Harry Potter. Not only because of the hormone stuff and the crushes, but because of that, this book is so in a different point of view. Everything is so loosely put, but is is a great book. The plot really is in this book, like JK Rowling says. The Triwizard Tournament is very significant because Quiddich matches are cancled because of it. Now that's a major change. And the people from other schools also have a very significant effect on the people at Hogwarts. The end of the book is not remotely frightening, but very good. I won't give the ending away for you but lets just say that this book really leaves you hanging. Not that much, but the way she puts it is like something horrible is happening and you won't know what it is until a year later. Harry definetly gets smarter in this book. You can tell. Also, one of the things that gets me confused is who everyone likes in the end of the book except someone. It's very confusing. Now, the person that dies I'm not telling you, but I personally don't care about who it was at all. I mean, that person barely is an important character for heaven's sake! It's kinda sad, but I'll get over it in 5 seconds. There are a LOT of revelations in this book. It may not surprise you, but it is a revelation. Also one about Fudge's err, TRUE character. But overall, this is a good book, I would say my second favorite overall. The prisoner of Azkaban was better. But I do recommend it, very much. This year's defense against the dark arts teacher is so- distant and yet plays a VERY important role in the end, so watch out!

Summary: harry potter and the goblet of fire
Review: This book is by far the most exciting and interesting book in the Harry Potter series yet. The way the book starts out tells the reader why Harry gets the splitting head pains in his scar is different from when it usually starts out in his aunts and uncles house, which makes it more interesting. One of the other events that happen is when Harry's name is chosen by the Goblet of Fire, and asks the question of how he got by the age line. The next thing thing that is neat about the book is when the spirits of the people who Voldermort killed comes out of Voldermort's wand causing a sheild to block Harry from Voldermort. Another thing that I found interesting is how so many people, including me, thought that someone else was going to be killed and never gave thought to the person who was killed. Overall, this is my favorite book in the series, and I recommend it to everyone.

Summary: Kudos for JK!
Review: Wow! Another excellent work of Ms.Rowling. Though the firstchapter seems more as a prologue, it serves as an excellent beginningpoint for the, by far, longest book in the series. I won't give away any plot details, except that after many hours of reading rumors, none of them predicted any of the main points of this book. Expect to be pleasantly surprised by new characters, events, and situations. The ending of the book comes as a real shock, and I don't think anyone can predict what kind of surprise Ms.Rowling has for us in future books, except that they will certainly get darker. Don't take this ending under the covers with a flashlight at night. A wonderful book, nevertheless, full of literature's greatest majors--comedy and tragedy.

Summary: things are heating up!
Review: Just finished this book--could not put it down. Per usual, Rowling does a great job of detailing the ins and outs of Hogwarts, but in this installment she gives a broader view of the larger wizarding world. The plot moves quickly with the expected twists and turns, building up to a great showdown and denouement. It's fabulous!

Summary: This book is really awesome¿!¿!
Review: THis book was by far the best J.K. has ever written. Even though it was long it was easy to understand, and we all got the message she was sending through. In all of her books she made it seem like you were there, but in this one you could actually SEE Harry's name flying out of the Goblet of Fire, and you could feel how Harry felt so deeply about missing a parent figure. This book made us realize the values of our life and it was a plane to adventure for kids and adults.
