Summary: TOTALLY AWESOME!
Review: Okay, this book MAY be a bit on the longish side, but everypage is worth it! The netire book has to do with a suspensive build upthat could basically be a slam-bam action/suspence/thriller in the 5th book. If you don't mind a little spoil: A tournament goes wrong because someone messes with the rules. No that little rule breaking sets off a chain reaction. I say this book is one of the best I've read, and I've read a LOT of fantasy/sci-fi books. Including adult ones! Not one has captured my attention as fiercly as this one has.

Summary: It was worth it....
Review: As all Harry Potter fans know we had to wait alooooooooooooooooong time for this book.

It was worth it.

I'm notgoing to spoil this book for anyone by giving away any plot points but I'll say his. Harry Potter IV was funny, sad, suspenseful, full of adventure, and at some points you will be VERY suprised, this book was simply AMAZING!

I don't see how J. K. Rowling could have done any better!

Summary: Long and beginning to become complex
Review: This fourth book should be a treat for adults and older kids. As Harry and his friends grow up, they begin more and more to see the dark side of their world and the dangers posed by those whose use of their powers is not altogether pure. School jealousies, rivalries, and friendships begin to take on new dimensions as these children take their first steps into adulthood. I think that younger children may be somewhat bewildered by some of the motivations that are whirling under the surface of these characters, and by the new, darker cast of the plot (Voldemort's supporters are not pleasant). But I couldn't put the book down, and that, in itself, is saying something. These books simply get better and more complex with each new installment. Rowling has managed to create a complete parallel world that makes it easy to suspend your disbelief.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Book 4)
Review: J. K. Rowling has done it again. I bought the book the day it came out and was unable to put it down until I finished it the same day. Once again I was pulled into the world of Hogwarts School and the life of Harry and his friends. The challenges that Harry Potter faces on the quest to become school champion kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next, and as always I left the book a better person as a read about fair play, team work, and true friendship. The end of the book left me eager for more, and I can't wait for the next book to be published. The fourth Harry Potter book defiantly lives up to the standards of the previous three and to me even exceeds them.

Summary: Harry Potter
Review: J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books are wonderful! All four ofher books are great for kids of all ages. I rate her booksexceptionally well. Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire, is my favorite of all! I am looking forward to her next books!

Summary: Can't Wait For #5 Already
Review: The magic is definitely back! This was worth reading constantly over the last 48 hours. Though Rowling had said that Harry was going to be growing up, I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the story's content and style reflected that. The duel between Voldemort and Harry was absolutely spectacular as well. It was also great to learn about magic from other countries. About the only disappointing part was that the Quidditch World Cup didn't last long enough! Dark magic is strongly afoot by the end, and the face-off between Dumbledore and Fudge....well, it makes me say more than ever that I can't wait for the next one!

Summary: Even Better?
Review: Well, it arrived from Amazon at 8:55 am Saturday and I finished about 4:45. Well, its at least as good (I'm 43 and loved all of them). Although it does deal with dark themes and death, it is still a positive and wonderful book and not too dark for thoughtful kids. The imaginative details continue to make me both laugh and shiver. I'm sure that anyone who appreciated the other books will not be disappointed.

Summary: Getting Darker....
Review: I spend the better part of the weekend devouring the new Harry Potter. It did not disappoint! Once again Rowling takes the reader on the roller-coaster ride of Harry's life. It's hard to review this book without spoilers, so I'll just say that I was happy that everything does not get neatly summed up in the last chapters. I'm already anxious for Book 5. The new characters (and some old characters) are not what they seem to be (as usual). I especially loved all the "social commentary" packed into this book. She covers gender bias, classism, racism, and nationalism...to name only a few. No "preaching", no lessons driven down the reader's throats - but gives the reader a chance to see people interact and struggle with these issues in the magical world. This book is most certainly for an older reader, and I think there will be much more controversy over this one. Parents and Educators will have a tougher time with this book, but fans who are a little older (or a lot older, like me) will enjoy it! Welcome back Harry!

Summary: Scariest Potter of All!
Review: The darkest of the four in the series. Filled with magic and mystery. Wonderful story line, though I'm not sure it's suitable for younger children. Great read!

Summary: Worth the Wait!
Review: It finally arrived! 700+ pages! I've read the first 12 chapters and they are great! My sister loves it too... she got her own copy so we wouldn't fight <g>.
