Summary: J.K. Rowling did it again!
Review: This book is just like the other first three books, but, this one is more excited. This book is darker, eviler, than the first three books. People read this Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire book, never think it is too long.....but of course, when you first read it you think this book is like 'oh my god, am I ever going to finish this?' But when you start reading the Chapter one 'The Riddle House' you want to read at least four- five chapters a day. And when you finish this book, you are so proud of yourself, and you're waiting for Harry's next adventure.
I recommend you to buy this book!(If you don't have it yet).

Summary: J.K. Christie Meets Agatha Rowling
Review: I've enjoyed each of the four books so far published in this series. The thing that makes "Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire" such a wonderful book is that it is a superb mystery. We really need the final chapters where all of the details of what was going on all along finally come to light. The action of the book makes it also a superb page-turner. I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. The fact that it is set against the backdrop of a world of wizards and witches gives such a unique setting for the mystery to shine. Rowling's characters are also so wonderfully human from the pompus Bagman to the cool Krum to jealous Ron down to Moaning Myrtle who turns up whenever Harry gets close to a body of water, be it the bathtub or lake! The final dual between Harry and U-Know-Who is incredibly sustained tension. Rowling has done a wonderful job like Agatha Christie at winding the mechanism of the mystery up so tightly we wince and then letting it spin out facts to explain the mystery as Dumbledore patiently listens to Harry's account of the duel. This is an exquisite thriller. The lessons of loyalty, friendship, and focusing on the truth are superb lessons that resonate with children and adults alike. Don't miss this modern classic!

Summary: ENCHANTING, ASTOUNDING, MESMERIZING, ADDICTING, INCREDIBLE
Review: Thinking of superlatives for J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series is becoming more and more difficult (because everything has already been said thousands of times)! Trying to give a unique review is also becoming harder and harder. This is another absolutely stupendous book and I really loved reading it.
Harry has returned to Hogwarts for his fourth year after a fun visit with the Weasleys and a terrifying experience at the World Cup (marking the return of the death eaters). Quidditch is not being played this year--in its place is a rigorous competition known as Tri-Wizard Tournament. Only one contestant is selected from each of three wizarding schools with the stipulation being that the student must be seventeen. Unsurprisingly, fourteen year-old Harry's name is also pulled out of the "Goblet of Fire." Thus begins his solitary voyage. With a few exceptions, Harry must make this journey alone through much of this novel. He even becomes estranged from his best friend, Ron (Hermione does remain close to Harry). The other students make fun of him and even ignore him. The cruelty of the Slytherins is the nastiest. Many of the things that Harry goes through are the same as what most teens must endure as part of the growing up process. Unfortunately, Harry does not have the benefit of loving parents to give him some must needed support so he turns to his godfather, his friends, and even a few professors. This book is much darker and sadder than the first three books but as in the others, the writing is so beautiful that you will feel Harry's pain. As always, Harry triumphs in the end but even this conclusion is bittersweet.

Summary: You are not alone...HP believers...
Review: Great book! also recomended, other magical books about the fascinating, and (rather) exciting, hooking, and wonderful world of Harry Potter, such as The Sorcerer's Companion. These books are very great, and surprising. Dark, mysterious, and hehehe funny at times, when Fred and George cook up some of thier schemes, and extremely creapy, at some points. And I have noticed that some girls like Harry Potter because of the movie. And because they...er... xoxoxo Harry Potter, or a matter of speaking (Daniel Radcliffe) Well I xoxoxox him too, but that is a lame excuse to like Harry Potter. There's nothing wrong with that, but can't they see the book as what it truly is, funny, wonderfull, obsessing, and all of the above. I really loved the dark stuff in here. The good stuff like QUIDDITCH, and the Yule ball, and stuff like that. However, this book is truly obsessing, you are warned. And (all of you girls) I xoxoxoxo Daniel R. just as much as the next person, but please read this book!
p.s. I HAVE HIS ****AUTOGRAPH****
Wish I had Rowlings, though ;() hmmpth!

Summary: OUT OF THIS WORLD BOOK
Review: *Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is my favorite book. I love it! If you are thinking about reading it, I think you should definetly go for it!! It kept my attention the ENTIRE way through, and the death defying adventures Harry and his friends go on just make me feel like I am there! In fact, the whole Harry Potter series is wonderful, while each book keeps getting better than the one before it. And, of course, the fourth book is the best! I really liked the parts about the Triwizard Tournament, the Quidditch World Cup, and the end of course. It really is a wonderful book and I think everyone should read it! I know you will love it if you do!*

Summary: The roots of Harry Potter
Review: I think we all can agree that the Harry Potter series is one of the best series of books that can be enjoyed equally by children and adults.

What may interest you is where the roots of this series come from (something I discovered on vacation in England and Wales). While there was nothing really like it in the U.S., in the United Kingdom this kind of ageless fantasy has long existed in the form of author Terry Pratchett. On several occasions I was surprised to find the English ticking off Pratchett in the same breath they discussed Rowling.

So I had to find out who this guy was.

Terry Pratchett it turns out, is the author of the "Discworld" series, which ranks right next to the Potter series in popularity in Britain. I started with "Equal Rites" one of his earliest books about a determined girl who manages to get accepted to the all male "Unseen University", a school for Wizards. The series can be read out of order, though I suggest starting with "Equal Rites", "Mort" or "The Color Of Magic". I was delighted to constantly find places and words so familiar from Potter in Prachett. In much the same way that Prachett builds on a legacy left behind by JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis, Rowling builds on all of them, and Pratchett.

So I thought I would share with my fellow Americans what the Brits knew all along. If you love Potter, you'll love Pratchett.

Summary: ***"Calling all HP fans, isn't this book great??!!"***
Review: Wow, what a really great book! I really love this book. This book is so much better than the others, now back up people don't get me wrong every HP book deserves 5+ stars, but this one is, oh I don't know, more dark, more inter....Oh what am I saying they're all great! This book has everything from gold dragon eggs, veela, mermaids (merpeople) and great adventures. I would recomend this book to anyone who can read. And so it has (some witchcraft) in it, you'll barely notice it because you are so sucked into this book, literally. And trust me all of you worried parents, I garuntee (Sorry if I spelled that wrong) that your child (WILL NOT!!!!) get up on the roof, and pretend that they have a Firebolt, and literally jump off of the roof. Come on that is just some lame excuse people make, who do NOT like Harry Potter, and they want to bring this book to an end, well let me tell you something/ NOT GUNNA HAPPEN PEOPLE! I am a 100% HP fan, and this book tottaly rocks my world!

Summary: Excellent Read
Review: The fourth installment was good but a bit long. It seems to be greared to the more grown up reader. I loved it but my daughter found it a bit tedious to get through. Excellent story lines throughout and I can't wait to see how Book 5 is.
