Summary: Not for the Weak Stomach
Review: (Written by a 10-year-old--almost 11--girl) I wouldn't recommend the fourth Harry Potter book to anyone under 10 or 11. For most of the book I was shivering and terrified. The last 100 pages literally made me sick to my stomach. I am surprised at J.K. Rowling. I thought she would write a lighter story. But I can't say I didn't like the book because I did. It made me feel like I was in the room with the characters. But it left me feeling disappointed that it wasn't what I had anticipated.

Summary: It was just as good as the rest of them!
Review: This book was really great. The characters were fantasticlywritten, the plot kept me on the edge of my seat through the wholebook. I couldn't put it down. I would definetly recomend it to any one, young or old. Why can't they make more stars for Harry Potter? That would solve quiet a few problems =). I hope that who ever reads Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire enjoys it as much as i did.

Summary: J.K. Rowling has done it again!
Review: The Harry Potter series seems to get better with eachbook. This time Harry is faced with even darker magic, a wizardingtournament, and an unusual twist of events. It is sure to send a chill down your spine when Voldemort (the darkest wizard) returns and when Harry (growing older) is turned down by a girl when he asks her to the dance. It's everything in one: a drama, a comedy, a fantasy, and even a little of a romance. And all that is left to say is that Rowling has done it again: stirred our imaginations. Still, we hope (as if it were real) that Harry makes it through his next three years at Hogarts, hoping that J.K. Rowling can do it again.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Review: Still in keeping with the tradition of the first three books,Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is fast paced, andrivetting. However, it's definitely darker than the other three books. The danger in the other books was more light-hearted, whereas an innocent character dies in this book, (as well as a lot of other deaths) and there is much more Dark Magic at play. Rowling seems to be stretching things a bit with the introduction of new creatures such as Veela (which are not fully explained), revealing that Hagrid is a half-Giant, and the introduction of the Death Eaters as followers of Voldemort. (Why didn't anyone call them Death Eaters in the previous three books?) The addition of Harry Potter into the Triwizard Tournament also seems a bit forced, although obviously necessary for the plot, and Harry never seems to be as interested in performing the necessary tasks as he should be. However, there is some very interesting character development now that Harry, Ron and Hermione are older and starting to notice their hormones, which makes some of the chemistry and tension between the three of them more intriguing. As well, Rowlings continues to maintain a good sense of humor regarding the misunderstandings between the wizard world and the Muggle world (Molly Weasley sends a letter to the Dursleys inviting Harry to stay for the Quidditch World Cup and covers the envelope with stamps, not sure if she's got enough; none of the wizards understand that 'bugging' means to secretly record conversations). Overall, an excellent must-read, although possibly this book may not be as suitable for younger readers as the other books were.

Summary: Goblet of fire TOO dark
Review: As many reviews have mentioned already, the fourth Harry Potter book is darker than Rowling's previous books. The factor that makes these dark parts of the book ( including very a vivid description of Voldemort , still have flashbacks!) is Ms. Rowlings extraordinary talent of taking you INTO the book making your imagination soar as though every word is actually said and everything is happening right then and there. You find yourself laughing with the characters and crying at their misfortunes ( especially Harry's) I'm sure JKR was trying to be realistic showing children that there is a dark side to everything, but took it a little far for a children's book. There is a point in the book where Voldemort tortures a wizard by letting him lay on the ground with no pity while his blood is leaving him through a chopped off body part. Being older I could tell myself it is only a book , but could children of a younger age? I would definitely consider this before buying this book to a child.

Summary: Just as good as the rest
Review: I have to admit, I'm not a pre-teen or a teenager anymore. I'm 23, but I fell in love with the Harry Potter stories after a friend that is younger than I am implored me to read the stories. I did finish the first 3 in one week and I finished the goblet of fire in one day (I'm a pretty fast reader!) and the story is a gripping story, a lot of fun to read. I won't say too much about the plot because kids and adults alike should read this story. The readers may notice that Harry and Ron and Hermione are starting to grow up and change a little bit, developing crushes on the opposite sex, and have to deal with the issue of death and as expected, a traitor in the midst of Hogwarts. Of course Ms. Rowling always likes to lead the reader to believe that one character should be guilty of the heinous crimes that have terrorized the student body, but the truth does prevail!

It's OK, to buy the book for yourself if you are old enough to drive and vote. Most grown-up novels are not this much fun and encourage you to use your imagination!

Now, I'm waiting for Book #5. Cheers to Ms. Rowling for breathing life and intelligence into books for children.

Summary: J.K Rowling's Genius
Review: I have never read anything so good! This bbok is magical, really! I believe that this one really is the best of the series of four. I may be 18, but not too old to enjoy this fine novel. We are introduced to new charecters, new plots, new twists and a death. Wow, I've never read a book so fast in my life. I couldn't put this one down! I'm not going to say much more because I'd rather not let the plot go, but trust me, this novel is one of the best I have read in many years, and I have read a lot of books! Five out of Five.

Summary: SUPERB BEYOND ALL EXPECTATIONS!
Review: JK Rowling has done it again! I thought things couldn't get any wilder after reading Prisoner of Azkaban, boy was I wrong. I am a twenty year old college junior and I love these books. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was phenomenol! There is so much in it I can begin to explain it all. The same creative imagination behind all her other books is in this one, the themes of friendship, honor, and sheer bravery are displayed well. The only thing about this book is it does have an edge to it where Voldemort returns and he's really nasty, but individual kids can determine for themselves whether they can handle it or not. I read this book within 36 hours and the last seven chapters I could not put down. This book four is a winner and now I am eagerly anticipating book five! Help!
