Summary: Keeps Getting Better!
Review: "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" lives up to the standards set by the first 3 books. In its 700 pages, it never lags in storytelling and suspense. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are 14 now -- which means that while solving the mysteries of the Triwizard Tournament, dealing with dragons and houseelves, they also have to deal with school dances. There is plenty of action, adventure, wizard sports and dangerous encounters and most of the characters from the previous books are here. If you liked the previous Harry Potter books, this one will have you hooked for good!

Summary: Just as good as the others!
Review: I went into reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with alittle apprehension. I thought that with all the publicity, HarryPotter might have grown to be a little different, not as charming, or just plain dumb. However, Ms. JK Rowling has kept the story just as riveting as it was in the first three books and Harry Potter is still Harry Potter. There were only a few things with this book that rather annoyed me, but they were small and didn't detract from the novel.

First of all, it's dictionary-sized. As well, Harry does not actually get to Hogwarts until about 175 pages into it. It really didn't matter though, because he was with Ron's family at the Quidditch World Cup. There are also two chapters about the Yule Ball in the middle that I thought lagged a bit but other than that, this novel was full steam ahead the entire way through.

The book has a great plot, as usual, and the ending wraps things up perfectly. This book is definitely just as good, if not better, than the other three novels in this series. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a great read, and will keep most kids happy for a month, based on its size. Of course, with the older kids like me, it'll only keep us busy for a couple of days. But, of course, we'll read it again because the Harry Potter books are all better the second time around.

Summary: Buy this book. Buy them all...twice.
Review: I couldn't put it down. It was crazy. Everything in it was so good and the characters are given a great amout of death.

Also, and for the fourth time, I couldn't guess the ending. I don't know how Rowling keeps fooling everyone.

Summary: Excellent
Review: Another award to Ms. Rowling for "special services to the school"! This book is excellent, and well worth both the wait and the read. New and interesting characters add flavor to the book, yet it doesn't live up to many of the rumors which had been circulating about it. No book could have lived up to the hype, but HP4 makes a good go of it. Although perhaps not quite as good a read as the earlier books, it brilliantly accomplishes its purpose - to set the stage for the remaining books. I eagerly await the next book to see how Ms. Rowling concludes the many cliffhangers she left readers with.

Summary: Harry Potter fans, you will not be disappointed!
Review: I got this book at 12:30 AM on Saturday morning. By 4:30 AM, I had finished. I've never poured through a book so fast in my life. Harry Potter fans around the world shall not be disappointed with this book!

In the 4th installment of the wildly popular Harry Potter series, our young hero finds himself in another wild adventure. This time, the Triwizard Tournament is being held at the Hogwarts school. Three wizards from the top wizarding schools are to be picked by the Goblet of Fire to participate. Much to the surprise of the rest of the wizarding world, Harry's name comes out (despite numerous precautions to prevent his entry).

Now Harry has to face all the dangers of the Tournament, which has a reputation of killing its participants. And if that weren't enough, the Dark Lord Voldemort has a few games of his own in store for Harry!

Will Harry be able to survive the Triwizard Tournament? Will Voldemort manage to get his hands on Harry? Who will win and who will lose?

Your favortie characters from the first three books are back (Hagrid, Dumbledore, Hermione, The Weasleys, etc), and a few new faces show up in this adventure. And like all of the other installments, the characters are fresh and life-like. A refreshing addition to the series is the attention to detail, both physical and emotional. You really feel for the characters; you cry when they cry, and laugh when they laugh.

Mind you, this is a daunting book (over 700 pages) with a surprise ending you'll never guess. But it is truly a masterpiece. J.K. Rowling's work just keeps getting better and better! At this rate, I'm looking forward to pre-ordering the fifth book!

Summary: Great continuation with stunning revelations
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a wonderful continuation of the terrific series. Rowling continues to shine on the interesting and humerous details of life amongst wizards, and young Harry faces some of his toughest challenges yet. The ending leaves no doubt that Harry's remaining years at Hogwarts school will be suspense-filled for the entire wizardly world, yet life continues apace with developments between Harry, Ron, and Hermione's friendship. The book is more outwardly focused than the previous volumes, with world events as important as life inside Hogwarts. This is in line with Harry's broader vision as he matures.

I read this book in less than 24 hours - it pulls you along inexorably and quite enjoyably. Hurrah for Harry Potter!

Summary: You probably have already read this book....
Review: I have read all of the series and like most people was anxiously awaiting the 4th. It did not let down my expectations. The Goblet of Fire is clever and well written, resulting in the most interesting of the series yet. It is almost completely different from the first three, with a much more complex story resulting in the totalled 735 pgs. Instead of being a complete story within a series, it is more of a continuation of the others, and leaves off at the end, making you feel hungry for more. This book is definitly one of the most exciting and exhilerating, and is the best yet of any.

Summary: nice, but not as good as the first 3
Review: This was a pretty good book by Ms Rowling, but it doesn't havethe explosive creativity as experienced in the first three titles. Itat times seems a bit rushed...but I guess when she is given 1 year to write it you can expect that...overall, a good read! =)

Summary: The BEST book yet!
Review: The new Harry Potter book was excellent. People who have notread the other Harry Potter books would still understand what wasgoing on in the story because it was all explained. I liked how there was lots of rising action before the climax happen. This Harry Potter book was longer then the others but i believe if it was shorter in text you would miss out on a lot of action. I liked how they still went the Hogwarts and still had all of there classes and none of the characters were left out!

Summary: Wow! The best book yet
Review: When I read this (in one sitting-- all 734 pages), I actuallyfound myself yelling at some of the more annoying characters, mymuscles clenching up at exciting, and my eyes watering up at all the right parts. J.K. has written her best book yet! This one really takes you in to the world of wizards and witches. The Dark forces are back and as mean, cunning, and downright cruel as ever. J.K.'s words paint a perfect picture of what's happening, what things look like, as the Amazon review says. I just hae one piece of advice-- drop everything you're doing and read this book. You won't regret it.
