Rating: Summary: best one yet Review: The 4th Harry Potter is amazing! I could't put the book down. I just had to keep reading! I highly recomend this book. Trust me, you won't regret it. How ever, it was more violent then the last 3. More violence and profanity. I think this is NOT a good book for children under 7. There is not a Quidditch cup at Hogwarts this year, but you get plenty of Quidditch when Harry attends the Quidditch world cup.Harry attends it with Hermione, Ron, and his family(Bill and Charlie included). But the fun stops when a group of Death-Eaters gather so the Ministary of Magic has to step in.When Harry gets to Hogwarts he finds out that the Quidditch Championchip is canceled due to the first Triwizard Chanpionchip in years. J.K.Rowling introduces maney new charactors including Mr. Crouch and Mr. Bagman of the ministary of magic, Rita Skeeter the anoying and nosy reporter for the Daily Prophet(you'll grow to hate her), and students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang which are other schools of witchcraft and wizardry. It might take you awhile (734 pages)but you'll enjoy every page of it.
Rating: Summary: great book Review: the book is full of fun, mystery, and adventure. I would recommed this book, and the other three, to people of all ages. It was so exiting I could hardly put it down. Even if you have a little kid you could read aloud some of the book every night. I'm sure both of you would enjoy it. J.K.Rowling has to be one of the most talented authors in the world. I can't wait till the next book comes out.
Rating: Summary: The Goblet of Fire RULES! Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire By far is the best book yet. It takes a lot of unexpected twists and turns and when they say it's the pivotal book it is THE pivotal book. You will understand why I said this toward the end of the book. Everybody I've got two words for you: BUY IT.
Rating: Summary: Excellent---and still full of surprises! Review: The latest Harry Potter book is just as exciting and surprising as the first. This book has a few twists and unexpected turns in it. In his fourth year, Harry goes to a world cup quidditch map with the Weasley's before returning to school. When he returns to school, there is a very exciting tournament taking place-which is where the fun and surprises begin! I loved this book as much as the first one, and I do not think you will be disappointed when reading it!
Rating: Summary: A glad return to Hogwarts.. Review: Well, I will admit it, I'm not your "little kid" :) I was glad to great my copy of the book, along with my wife, and have greatly enjoyed it."Goblet of Fire" has finally supplanted the first book as my favorite of the series. Well written, Goblet of Fire may be what it takes to prove to non-Harry followers what the craze is all about. Offerring a great course in character growth, Ron, Hermoine, Harry, and all of the others exhibit changes as they grow another year. The introduction of "crushes" a "boy-girl dance" and a few other elements really set the stage: Harry is growing up, and things are changing. Along with this, a fantastic plot, revolving around the Tri-Wizards tournament develops, truly involving, and while the challenges are interesting into themselves, what's even better is how much we learn about each of the characters and how they handle each of the challenges. A fantastic book, and a sure fire winner for kids from 9 to 90.
Rating: Summary: Magical and Mystifying Review: Those are two words that clearly capture the feeling of"Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire." J.K. Rowling does apurely magnificent job in this 4th installment of The Harry Potter series. Where shall I began. Ah, the basis for any good novel, the plot! Rowling does not disappoint her audience by giving another well thought out story, full of mystery, horror, and the ocassional comedy. Rowling does what few Hollywood directors can do, and that is make the sequels better then the orginal. Every new Harry Potter book is better then the one which precedes it, making the series become more and more magical. The Goblet Of Fire does not disappoint. Instead it surpasses anyones, and I repeat, anyones highest expectations. This is a must read for children and adults alike. For children this novel opens up unlimited gateways of fantasy and adventure. For adults this novel, as every novel, opens up the inner child inside all adults, even people as "Muggle-ish" as Uncle Vernon. Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire is a sure fire hit, one that is being read quickly so that they may discuss it with friends, and will be re-read over and over again to see and analyze the foreshadowing of events to come. Run, do not walk, to your closest book store and purchase this...masterpiece, this epic book. You will not be disappointed, and this I promise you. I myself must go......Alakazaam!
Rating: Summary: Utterly AMAZING! Review: WOW! This book is fantastic. Great for kids of all ages. . . I cannot believe that I have already come to the end of this epic adventure. The book just drew me in and wouldn't let me put it down. Whether you've read the first three books in this series or not, READ THIS ONE! You will want to go back and read them all over again. When does the next one come out?
Rating: Summary: unlimited action Review: In this book J.K.Rowling starts out like a train, slow. But as she goes farther she picks up speed to the point where it's unable to be put down. As you progress in the book you meet new characters, along with old ones, like Lord Voldemort. J.K. Rowling has a knack for putting you in the book. She is able to make you the extra character under an invisibility cloak. But you are also a part of Harry's mind and body. If you haven't read this bood yet, you are missing out on ideas from your wildest dreams. J.K. Rowling, I salute you! Congradulations on a wonderful book release. As a part of fans I say that we are ready for book 5.
Rating: Summary: Comments from the peanut gallery... Review: This book is the best of the four published so far, supportedby the strongest plot yet and many quick turns to the story whichthrows you off-balance. It still retains most of the old elements and introduces some new ones as well. The new charcters are very well implamented making you feel like they've been in the seris all along. Rowling, as usual has tried to write this book to the very highest standard possible, and it shows. If you had any doubts getting "Harry Potter and the goblet of fire" this article should have squashed them all.
Rating: Summary: Incredible! Don't miss this one! Review: The Goblet of Fire at first glance seems a bit daunting, and at 700 plus pages, it is more than the average child is used too. But Ms. Rowlings clearly intends us to snuggle up close to our kids and read them this fine novel of wizardry and frendship. I could not put it down! From the moment the Weasleys pick up Harry from his clueless Muggle family, I was on the floor with laughter.
