Summary: The best one yet, and signs of even better to come!
Review: Every new Harry Potter book has managed the neat trick of being better, more involving and more exciting than the one before, but I didn't think J.K. Rowling could possibly top "Prisoner of Azkaban" this time around. Boy, was I wrong! "Goblet of Fire" takes the series into whole new realms of the sinister, shocking, and heartbreaking, all while staying true to the series and the characters we all know and love so well by now. It's all funny, true, and completely (no pun intended) spellbinding.

The last 200 pages or so of this book shocked, terrified, and disturbed me, and left me exhausted, thrilled, fully satisfied, and yet hungrier than ever to see what the author has in store for Books 5, 6, and 7! She knows where she's going, and I predict she'll keep us hanging on every word along the way. These books don't deserve to be slapped with the demeaning label of "children's books" -- take it from a 31-year-old with a BA in English Lit, these are LITERATURE. Any adult who still considers himself "above such things" is missing out.

Summary: Darker and Longer
Review: Probably the best in the series. Unlike the other books this one is darker, puts Harry's life in a lot more dangerous situations and keeps us holding our breath. At 700 plus pages, it is also longer, with a lot more plot twists and new surprises.

Summary: Hooray for Harry Potter!
Review: After having just spent all of last night into the wee hours of the morning reading the last 300 pages of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" I must say J.K. Rowling has outdone herself. Harry Potter's fourth year is definitely his most intense year as not only does he have to deal with learning more magic, putting up with Draco and his friends, but Harry is beginning to notice girls and the way they make him feel. I was totally spellbound through the whole book as I was made to feel a whole range of emotions from excitement and happiness to being scared and angered for all the things that can happen to a famous wizard who knows so little about the wizarding world. Harry says in the book that he sometimes felt that somebody put a spell on time to move at a speed faster than normal and I hope somebody does that for me so that I can continue with Harry in his education and experiences at Hogwarts in Book V sooner than I think.

Summary: Another great additon to the Harry Potter series!
Review: The Harry Potter series is the only series I've read, childrens or adult, where Book One was great, Book Two was better, Book Three was better than that and Book Four better still! This is a slightly more mature Harry Potter book. Harry & Ron start noticing girl (and Hermione notices boys), there's more Dark Arts and the ending may be too intense for very young readers. (And, yes, someone dies...) The book is really two stories: The World Cup Quiddich Match (during the summer) and Hogwarts Year Four. The book is long (752 pages) but never slows down. -- And wait until you read the ending. I was one of hundreds at my local bookstore who stood in line at midnight to buy this book. I'll happily wait in line when Book 5 comes out.

Summary: Another Winner from Rowling
Review: What a wonderful book! I loved the first three, and this fourth installment lived up to my expectations. Though the length may intimidate some (at over 700 pages, it is double to triple the length of each previous book), the book is so engrossing that I found myself unable to put it down. I finished it in two days, much to my disappointment (now I have to wait another year for Book 5)! By the way, I am a 30ish woman with a degree in Literature--Harry Potter isn't just for kids!

Summary: The Best Yet?
Review: My first impressions of this book were BIG. I was expecting to see a book about 400 pages but to see 600 I was so excited. I started to read the book straight away and for 10 hours I didn't put the book down Rowling has again made a book that once you start can not put down, from the first to the last word I was gripped in the Harry Potter world, I was like I was in the book it is a feeling no other book has given me the emotions of the characters flowed into me, It was just as exciting as before. As like the other books all the tension built up to the end it was amazing! Every body in my family reads the Harry Potter Books. My Dad is one of Harry's biggest fan. There is always a fight to see you reads it first, but to sum it all up this was in the same league as all the rest of the books and maybe the best yet

Summary: Another hit
Review: After waiting, one surely thought they might be disappointed but not at all! This book is long but riveting. And it definitely is darker than the others although no overly so. There are some lovely tie-ins with previous books, some new characters which we hope to see again and expansion of plot lines and characters. It was a whomping good read and alas now we have another year to wait for the next installment! A word to the wise - don't finsih the last few chapters on a dark, stormy night in a house all alone...

Summary: EXCELLENT!
Review: This book is just as enchanting and exciting as the other three. Harry Potter has just had another horrendous summer with the Dursely's. But when the Weasley's invite him to go to the Quidditch World Cup, the summer takes a turn for the best. J.K. Rowling weaves a fantastic story that you won't be able to put down until you're done. J.K. Rowling really out did herself with this masterpiece of over 700 pages.

Summary: harry potter 4
Review: Harry potter and the golden goblet is the best book J.K. Rolling has done yet. Combining fun and a famous quidditch match with the danger of death eaters. Every innocent event seems to turn ugly as harry potter once again finds his life in danger. With the threat of Voldermorts return looming overhead and a sneaky reporter digging up dirt on everyone and everything it's no wonder that things seem to be out of control. This book is the best of the series so far and is a worth buying. Even for those who are not to crazy about magic.

Summary: Worth the wait
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was worth the months and months of waiting, dreaming, and rereading the first three books. Although I had planned to read only a few chapters at a time to savor the experience, I tore through the whole thing in two days. This book cannot be put down for long. J.K. Rowling continues to add wonderful detail and flavor to her magical world, some of it very funny, some of it downright terrifying, but all of it terrific. The fourth book in the series is darker than the other three as Harry matures and faces more and more of the Dark Arts, but Harry and his friends remain determined and true throughout. Some of it is a little gruesome for younger readers, but it is balanced well against the lessons of honesty, nobility, and courage that Harry Potter always has to share.
