Summary: Rowling's Best Yet
Review: Once again Rowling has written a book that I just had to read all at once. Rowling develops her characters and her plot quite well, with enough information for one to have a clear picture of the characters and scenes. The plot of "Goblet of Fire" moves along quickly, but not at such a speed as to lose the reader. The way Rowling writes, one's imagination comes into play, and in my case, the reader can become immersed in the book, becoming one of the characters. The interactions between Harry, his friends, faculty, and others he meets are conceived with skill. Because Harry acts his age, he is real. In fact, all the characters in the book have great depth, and it is up to the reader to decide, until the end, whom Harry can trust. Fortunately, there is a limit on the length of reviews: I could go on endlessly about the wonders of this book and the previous titles.

Summary: Harry Potter fans and new readers alike you NEED this book!
Review: I have been waiting and waiting for this book and when it finally arrived early Saturday morning (I preordered it from amazon.com) I was plundged into pure bliss. I loved the book. It was very interesting and I liked the was that it was clear that Harry has grown since that fateful night on a rock in the middle of the sea when Hagrid came to show him the way to Hogwarts. Now, I can't wait for the fifth. Every 734 pages and 2.7 pounds of it was delicious for the mind. I reccomend this book to anyone who LOVES Harry Potter.

Summary: Don't be discouraged by the number of pages!
Review: This book was simply AWESOME. Miss Rowling kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. She did another unbelievable job. Despite the large number of pages, I finished the book in two days. Reader should be aware that this book is highly addictive; I know that I'll be reading this a couple more times before I put it down!

Join Harry, now 14, in his adventures with his two best friends, Ron and Hermione. As the mystery unfolds, you'll find more and more characters involved as Miss Rowling weaves an intricate web of confusion, desperation, and excitement. As nothing more can be said without ruining the surprises, I'll leave you with two words: constant vigilance.

Summary: The Goblet of Excitment in Goblet of Fire
Review: The new Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, is a definite bestseller and was the best book of the series as of the now. The book opens with a chilling discovery as well as mysteries yet to be solved. Harry soon leaves the Dursleys and attends the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasley's and Hermione. Also, Harry is still in contact with his Godfather Sirius Black. After the World Cup, Harry learns of Voldemort's followers, known as the Death Eaters, and their treacherous past. Thereafter, Harry finds himself back at Hogwarts and learning about the Triwazard Tournament were a champion from Hogwarts, and the other two schools Beauxabatons and Durmstrang, compete in assorted tasks. To everyone's surprise, Harry is picked as a fourth champion. Even Harry is unsure about how he was selected for the Tournament. Despite Snape and Malfoy's criticism and gloating, Harry accepts his position and goes forth with the Triwizard Tournament. As Harry competes, he is drawn into a death trap and is unlikely to come out the victor. With an explosive ending, the book climaxs in darkness and readers are definetely going to scream for Book 5 soon. The book, in my opinion surpasses that of the others due to better plot developement and twists. New characters have been introduced as well as old ones returning. The book also surprises people due to the fact that good doesn't always triumph over evil.

Summary: Harry still delights me!
Review: J.K. Rowling has not run out of entertaining stories! This fourth Harry Potter book is absolutely wonderful, just like the preceding three. It's longer and scarier, which only prolongs the excitement. I recommend this book completely!

Summary: Harry is growing up, and the books keep getting better.
Review: This is the best one yet. Harry is growing, and his view on the world reflects this. Quidditch is great as always, but this one is both darker and meatier. The kids discover the opposite sex, or at least try to.

Since Harry is 14 instead of 11, his smart alec comments come more from a position of power. He is becoming one of the greatest boy characters since Huckleberry Finn. He is real, he fights with his friends, he has dreams of granduer and a great heart.

I laughed all through the book, but the funny parts felt more like comic relief than the central purpose. The ending is not as high and warm and fuzzy but more of a somber preparing-for-the-storm.

More great characters, lots of loose ends and Dumbledore is simply one of the greatest adults around. Dudley also gets some payback for the years of torture towards Harry. This one is just wonderful!

Summary: Another fantastic read
Review: The fourth episode in the Harry Potter saga is as compelling and engaging as the first three. As the parent of a 10 year old, I had some concerns that the themes of this new book (which Rowling had suggested would be even darker than volume three) might be too intense for my daughter. So I bought and read it as soon as possible, and I'm delighted to be able to say that, while there are certainly some frightening episodes and developments, I found the overall tone to be considerably lighter than that of volume three. The promised (by Rowling) theme of romantic attachments is also completely unobjectionable (and indeed to me seems less developed than in some of the previous books). Bottom line: buy it, read it, enjoy it!

Summary: Rowling does it again!
Review: Reading the longest Harry Potter book was like watching a miniseries on TV: it looked long in TV Guide, but when the end came you wanted more. I read all 700+ pages in less than 24 hours, and my appetite for the fifth book has only increased. Voldemort is scarier, Dumbledore is wiser, and Harry and the gang are growing up.

Summary: The best one yet!
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a wonderfully constucted book. It can make your spine tingle on one page and you want to cry on the next. The author has told a great story of Harry starting to grow up, in a way that can be well-interperted by younger children. She was able to include a number of thrilling plot lines, and make them wind together in a superb way. There are not many people who can do that well in a children's book. I plan to cherrish the book from now on.
