Rating: Summary: A KEEPER! Review: No matter yor age, you'll love this book! However, you must be open minded, and leave behind the fact that many consider this book "literature for children only". That was my mistake at first, when my younger sister lent them to me. I suppose I was quite prejudiced: I didn't read them, I skimmed trough the first and decided that they weren't for me. However, after seeing the first movie I realised I might be missing something worthwhile. At the second (but first serious) try, I loved them (so, what does that tell us about prejudices?). Now I've read all Harry Potter's books, and I love them (I'm anxiously waiting for the next one). Anyway, I can tell that this one, "Harry Potter and the goblet of fire", was the best so far. More action and a deeper development of characters make a wonderful book. It is a little sad, though (one of the characters dies), but at the same time has a lot to teach you about what is important in life: values, friendship. I would recommend this book for everybody, grown-ups (unprejudiced and with imagination, please, don't repeat my mistake) and children. Each one will read this book in her/his own particular way, but all will like it, and keep it. In a word, worthwhile and captivating...
Rating: Summary: fourth book is #1 Review: Before I read The Goblet of Fire, I must admit I thought that there was no way Rowling could put out another book even half as good as the first three, but again she showed her skill by making a novel that was even better than all of her first three. This book had suspense around every corner. Though the author mostly took quidditch out of the book, it was still quite the book. There might not have been quidditch, but how about the Triwizard Contest, that was extremely suspenseful. Even the way Harry got into it was suspenseful once the three names were picked, and none of the names was Harry Potter you think well why isn't it Harry? then all of the suddenly one more name comes up who well of course Harry. One other issue in this book is the house elves. When I read this, the fist thing I thought of was the enslavement of blacks prior to the civil war, as if Dobby was a slave, and Hermione was like Abe Lincoln who believed blacks should be equal. Altogether this book was definitely the best of the four books so far. I recomend that you should definitely read this book.

Rating: Summary: Attention all who don't read books!: You'll read this one Review: This fourth installment of the Harry Potter series simply took my breath away! There were points in the novel where I had to just put it aside and collect my thoughts due to some of the shocking twist of events found within. I dont read books, but this one I couldn't put down! I never could have seen myself reading a 700+ page novel but I've proven myself wrong. I can't wait for the fifth installment, whenever that may be! A GREAT way to get children to read!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling is the fourth exiting fantasy story in the Harry Potter series. This story takes place in Hogwarts castle and on Hogwarts grounds. At Hogwarts there was going to be a tournament between three different witchcraft and wizarding schools (Hogwarts, Durmstrang, Beauxbatons). Students at age sixteen and over were able to enter their names in The Goblet of Fire. The Goblet of Fire would spit out three names. The names that got spit out would be in the tournament. But somehow four names got spit out, and one of them was Harry Potter! Each student would perform three tasks and whoever got the most points for completing the tasks would win. Will Harry survive through all the tasks, or will he not make it? Find out in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I really liked this book because it has a lot of action, adventure, and mystery. You never know what will happen next! I wouldn't recommend this to little kids because sometimes it can be a little scary. On a scale from one out of five, I'd rate it a five. So everyone should go out and get it!
Rating: Summary: Gives King Fortis the Brave a run for its money Review: With the possible exception of King Fortis the Brave, Harry Potter is the greatest young adult fantasy hero on the market today, and this is the best of the books so far. If you haven't read any of the Harry Potter books, it's best to start at the beginning. But don't stop at the first one. They keep getting better and better. And Rowling promises that the best is yet to come.
Rating: Summary: A great book from Begining to End Review: I have just read Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire. The story about a wizard boy at Hogwarts named Harry Potter. In this book he participates in the triwizard torment. This book written by J.K. Rowling she is a writer from England who was a single mother with one Daughter, and J. K. Rowling has now remarried. She is a graduate from Exter University. Most popular book is the Harry Potter series. She wrote her first Harry Potter book in a coffee shop writing on napkins while she watched her daughter. The book Harry Potter and the Goblet for fire was a good book that keeps your interest from page one to the end of the book. The adventures and twists to the story are great. What I liked about this book is you think you know what is going to happen then the book totally surprises you in a way you would not think. In this book Harry Potter is in the triwizard torment and it held the biggest secrets and made some great adventures for Harry Potter. I think that the torment was my favorite thing about this book. Harry Potter is a great character and will surprise you with all the different adventures he goes on and problems that he encounters.
Rating: Summary: #4 is #1 Review: The best of the HP books written so far. Long book, but a driving plot will keep anyone involved. The further development of all the characters was welcome, and Hermione's character especially grows in essential ways. The quidditch is bigger, the competition fiercer, the bad-guys more evil, the world more complexly explained; clearly, Goblet of Fire is the keystone book to the series, the one that starts the main conflict.... and it's off to a running start. Can't wait for till the next one comes out.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter-Excellent Again Review: The fourth edition in the Harry Potter series, is in my opinion by far the best. The book has the same style that made the other three so great, but there's more of it, and in greater detail than before. Quidditch fans beware, there is only one game of quidditch throughout the whole book, however other forms of competition which greatly rival the excitement of quidditch are introduced. Voldemort is after Harry again, only this time he's got the best plan ever. With the cards stacked against him Harry finds himself in constant pressure situations, with the help of his friends and teachers, it seems he'll always come out on top. J.K. Rowling does an excellent job of creating suspension, Harry knows what he must do to succeed, but it never seems like quite enough, its hard to stop reading when you don't know what to expect next. Don't let the length of this book fool you, the reading goes by quite fast because you get so involved in the plot. It seems like Rowling has a limitless supply of new characters to introduce, a few of my favorites to watch out for in this book are Mad-eye Moody and Viktor Krum. Suspense is not the only thing I like about Rowling's writings, her attention to detail is wonderful, things that were introduced in the first few books are still being used frequently, sometimes even secretly. Character development is also very strong throughout the Harry Potter series. So many characters mean something to the reader because Rowling takes the time to introduce them, and tell their story. This is easily one of he top 5 books I have ever read, if you are interested in a good read, try this one out, you shouldn't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Dragons, Brooms, and Magic Markers Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which is the fourth book in this seven book installment, is defiantly the best thus far. Its Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts and before school even starts, there is some evil brewing about. Somebody conjured up the Dark Mark, which is the symbol for he-who-must-not-be-named. After getting to Hogwarts, Harry somehow gets picked for the Tri-Wizard tournament and suddenly the whole school hates him. There are even more faced in this book as well with the arrival of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. And there seems to be some fishy faces among the two other school. He along with Hermione and Ron must yet again solve the mystery that is in front of them. J.K. Rowling did say that her books were going to be darker and more mysterious as the series goes on, and she is true to her word. It seems that every few pages or so Harry is fighting for his life somehow or someway. There are many character twists as well, for example, Harry's best friend Ron, who we thought would never leave Harry's side, does just that. It isn't for the whole entire book, but this was something you just didn't expect. One thing that was missing from the previous three books, was the game you all know and love, Quidditch. Sure, there is the Quidditch World Cup, but I would have personally rather read about Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Gryfindor battling it out on their brooms. All in all, this was a good, descriptive, and well written book. You shouldn't let the 700+ pages scare you off, because once you get into it, you can't put it down and it goes incredibly fast. I can't wait until the fifth book comes out, but obviously I will have to.
