Review: Harry Potter,The Goblet of Fire, is just another awesomeaddition to JKRowling's series... I'm really at a loss for words toexplain how exciting, and heartwrenching the story got and how I clung to every single word and how it kept me on my toes. I admire the way Rowling continues to surprise her audience,..there were many times I was sure I had the story figured out with who the culprits were and how things would turn out, but JKRowling just added many new twists to this fourth book. I like the way Harry's character stays well grounded. How even as famous as he is, he has his share of humbling experiences such as his love life, being the object of ridicule and gossip... His courage is really put to the test...which reveals how truly special he is. This book really ties in all four books, full of adventure, suspense, and unprecedented surprises. I'm already reading it a second time and looking forward to the fifth book in this series.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: SOOOO good Review: Even though I am 26 years old, I read the first 3 books in 4 days. I think the first 3 books have the same story structure therefore it gets old. However, the 4th one (Goblet of Fire) tops all the other books. It definately is a must read for all the "Muggles! "
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Goblet of Fire out-hypes Phantom Menace! Review: Unlike the overpublicized prequel to Lucas' Star Wars movies, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire lives up to its billing. The fourth installment in J. Rowling's series about an orphaned boy who discovers that he is someone special in a world beyond imagination, Goblet of Fire has already shattered sales records. Is it worth it? You bet! Rowling is a masterful writer. Her characters are realistic yet quirky enough to be memorable, and her plots are intricate but not so complicated that younger readers won't be able to follow them. Clues to the surprising final outcome are scattered throughout the book, and the story ends with a wonderful sense of closure, while at the same time leaving a few significant plot threads dangling, hinting at what's to come in the next book. My personal favorite moments are usually provided by the Weasley family. Nearly all readers will be able to relate closely to them. They seem so normal - what kid hasn't had her mother yell at her for leaving her toys around? And yet the magical world is such a part of their lives that it gives their normalcy an offbeat flavor. Parents who are worried about the tone of this book can rest a bit easier. Yes, a major character does die. However, Rowling does not delve into spectacular gore or violence. Instead, it is handled realistically and compassionately. It is an excellent way to introduce to children the idea that sometimes bad things happen to nice people. The only bugaboo I had with this book was that the Hermione Granger subplot was not adequately resolved. It might be carried over to the next book, though, so I'll just have to wait and see how it ends. Overall: GO OUT AND GET THIS BOOK!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Best Yet! Review: In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, J.K. Rowling has outdone herself. Harry Potter, just wanting to be a normal 14-year-old wizard, once again must perform heroic deeds. Some new characters make an appearance; while all the old characters return. Buy this book before its to late. Excellent book. Recomend to all! I can't wait until books 5, 6 and 7 arrive.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Pivitol 4th Book a Champion! Review: J.K. Rowlings is planning a series of seven Harry Potter books, making "Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire" the pivotal Book 4. And pivotal it is. In the first three, Lord Voldemort is weak and almost powerless, but we know that his "faithful servant" Wormtail has headed off to find him at the end of Book 3. We are also promised that he will come back with a vengeance. And that he does. If Harry thought he was going back for a business-as-usual fourth year at Hogwart's, then he's in for a surprise. But surprises are business as usual at Hogwart's, aren't they? From the Quidditch Cup Finals to the Third Task of the Triwizard Tournament, Harry and his friends are in for another year of high flying and deep diving adventures. And nestled among all the brave rescues and fearless flying is a little bit of romance for our fourth year students. We relive our own awkward moments of finding a date as Ron and Harry try to find dance partners for the Yule Ball. And then they find out that maybe there has been a beautiful girl right under their noses all the time. But always underlying the festive holidays and trips to Hogsmeade is the question: Why is Harry in the Triwizard Tournament? Who entered his name, and to what end? As usual, we are kept guessing to the end, and no matter what you think, you will be surprised. Once again, Harry will come face to face with his mortal enemy, Lord Voldemort, but with three books left in the series, we know there will be more to come. The book ends with a greater sense of anticipation than the other three have. There is no doubt that the Dark Lord is back! If the book has any fault, it is when it uses contrived means to reveal things in the past that we need to know. Harry spends some time in Professor Dumbledore's thoughts, the sole purpose of which is to reveal past events. Then later, an accomplice of the Dark Lord is given truth serum, and through his narration, the pieces of the puzzle begin to fit together. It would have been nice if events could have led to inevitable conclusions, or just a few questions asked to bring us up to speed. Unfortunately, there is just so much going on in this book, it would have been hard to accomplish that task without using the methods employed. The book is over 700 pages long and therefore one is forced to put it down at some point, but finding that point is always difficult. I always wanted to find out what happened next. Fans will not be disappointed with "Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire."
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The pivotal 4th installment's ending will spin your head! Review: J.K. Rowling's fourth installment in the Harry Potter series may be long, but the story needs to be told slowly and in detail. Described in interviews as the "pivotal 4th book", the novel proves that description to be an understatement. Although at times I wondered if anything major was ever going to happen, I knew that Rowling was meticulously setting up her readers for something unexpected to occur at some critical point. It does. The pace of the book may be slower than that of the first three in the series, but throughout I kept wondering who the evil ones truly were, and how the book was going to end which contributed to it being a page-turner nonetheless. "The Goblet of Fire" reads more like a good mystery novel rather than an enchanting children's fantasy. And well it should: Harry is growing up and becoming more and more aware of the reality of his life in the world of wizardry. Therefore, the style and themes are somewhat more mature. Towards the end the book does turn frightening and younger readers may have trouble sleeping at night. However, the major turning point in the book is cleverly timed as it comes upon you without warning. It did scare and shock me. When I closed the back cover at last, I most certainly found myself eagerly looking forward to Year Five of Harry Potter's school career. Well done again, Ms. Rowling; in spite of what some critics may say, your books have much to say about society, right and wrong, and good and evil.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Riddle of the Riddle House Review: This book like all the others, entrances you with it's sudden twists and turns so that you don't know who is an who isn't a traitor. Also, J.K. Rowling throws small hints at you even in the name of the first chapter(The Riddle house and anyone that has read The Chamber of Secrets knows that Lord Voldermort and his father were named Tom Riddle)that many people overlook, and they say, "Hey, that came out of nowhere!",. And I just tell them to read it again. This is a great book for people of all ages.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Another amazing adventure for Harry! Review: Rowling does it again. It's amazing that each book in the series keeps getting better. In "The Goblet of Fire", we are swallowed back into the world of Harry Potter until we surface again at the end of the book. This is one that you can't put down till the end. Rowling keeps up her trademark of surprising endings and hilarious quirks seen throughout the story (like the titles of the books Harry and Hermione check out from the library) Another great job!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It was so good i was sad to see it end! Review: What can i say...finally i read it and one word WOW! I could not put it down not gonna reveal too much of the plot but it is essential to read the previous novels of the series to understand. All I am gonna say is the ending will take your breath away. And for the first time i was really sad to see my last chapter. Though it will live up to your expectation you'll be anticipating the next book. The one thing i wanna know now is how long do we have to wait for Harry Potter V?
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Best Yet Review: This was the best harry potter book yet. I am a college student and this series has reinstilled a sense of wonder in fantasy literature . the thing that I liked the most about this book is that as harry has grown older the books have matured in both tone and content. I don't want to spoil the book for anyone but the dance scene reminds me painfully of my first dance. harry is growing up and the story is growing up with him. the only problem I have is that the trials do not seem that difficult except for the first one. small matter. This book is great and I hope the next one is even longer.
