Summary: Harry Potter triumphs again
Review: In this fourth Harry Potter adventure, the reader is again swept away into the magical world of Hogwart's school. Now 14, Harry's challenges are becoming more difficult--and more exciting. A variety of magical creatures, spells, potions, and curses pepper the pages of Harry's latest book. As he faces classroom obstacles, as well as the dangers posed by "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named", Harry's friends are by his side. Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and his godfather Sirius are Harry's allies throughout this thrilling sequel to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It will be hard for you to put down, as the plot unfolds in this magical adventure.

Summary: Accio Harry Potter Five !
Review: Trepidation unjustified. This installment of the series is a spendid continuation of Harry's saga and my only regret as I finished it was that there will be another year-long wait for the next one...

I couldn't help wondering if Joanne Rowling hadn't cast a giant Imperius spell on her readers, since it felt like only minutes had elapsed since I picked up the book Sunday morning, and yet it was dark outside Sunday evening as I turned the last page.

Bravura plot & characterization performance, as always !

Summary: The Best book in the Whole World is Here
Review: This is a really great book. I am nine years old and read the entire book in three days. I couldn't put it down. It is exciting, funny, suspensful and scary all at the same time. The other three Harry Potter books are great but this one is the best because it goes beyond Hogwarts to the Triwizzard Tournament. The tasks in the tournament are difficult and dangerous and I couldn't see how they turned out. Everyone should read this book and J.K. Rowling should keep on writing.

Summary: A superb continuation of the series
Review: As expected, HP4 is more of the same, wild adventures of Harry Potter, but at the same time, it is a little darker, a little less tightly wrapped up at the end -- and this is deliberate -- and a little more true to Harry's increasing age.

Many rumours have flown about the book, and despite having read every single one of them, I am absolutely delighted to say that even the ones that were true, were sufficiently well hidden or twisted, that they did not reveal themselves until they happened.

I genuinely cannot praise the book highly enough, I can only add to the voices crying bitter tears, because now we have a year to wait before the next chapter.

Buy it.

Summary: Harry's best so far
Review: Definitely the best Harry Potter book so far. There's lovely detail of Harry's life outside of school; the book spends over a hundred pages before he even gets to Hogworts, and you really get to see what life would be like to be a wizard in contemporary times.

The Triwizard competition is very exciting, with good challenges and tough problems. The characters really come alive, looking like real teenagers. You can just see a real fourteen-year-old getting into some of the fights Ron has.

An absolute treasure. Buy it.

Review: A real nailbiter. A thrill by thrill book that will leave you on the edge of your seat till the very last page...and still have you screaming for more.

Summary: Another Hit!
Review: I got this book on Saturday, after 6:00PM via FedEx. I finally put it down and went to bed at about 2:30 in the morning. It was an absolutely enthralling read.

This book is much darker and scarier in content than the previous books, and has a much more "adult" feel. One feels by the end of the book that the gloves are off as regards Magic/Muggle relations, and the past/future supporters of Voldemort (I won't say more, as I don't want to spoil it for anyone) - in other words, the risks are increasing, and there is much more at stake for the protagonists than losing the House Cup to Slytherin.

The book is also extremely funny in places, and pokes a bit of sly fun at the English tabloid press (of which, unfortunately for her, Ms. Rowling is all too familiar), international relations, and the various pitfalls of dating and romance, among other things.

As mentioned, there is also a romantic subplot featuring various characters that is charming, and wholly in keeping with the ways boys and girls (wizards or no) gradually discover an interest in the opposite sex as they advance into their teens.

The same themes of the importance of friendship, sticking up for one's principles, defending the weak or "different", and treating others as one would like to be treated are continued in this installment. As usual, the message of tolerance and love is well-expressed without being preachy.

I am afraid there may be some little outcry against Ms. Rowling due to some extremely minor swearing and some slightly off-color jokes. Since I don't have kids, this didn't bother me at all (I don't think it would bother me even if I did), but I am sure a few of the more reactionary parental units out there will be freaking out over the Damage to America's Youth. God knows they should be more worried about the WWF.

In any case, most enjoyable, and I can hardly wait for the next book. I hope we don't have long to wait!

Summary: Harry Potter IV is Nonstop Action and Suspence
Review: This fourth installment is not disappointing! When I first began the series I could not imagine any of the sequels surpassing the first in plot, humor and overall enjoyability. However, each sequel continues to exceed my expectations and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is no exception. Although considerably (and happily) longer, I found each chapter very exciting, leading to a thrilling battle between good and evil. I thought I had actually guessed the villain this time. Although I had part of it right, I still had been completely outwitted.

I highly recommend this book to older children and adults. Thank you, Ms. Rowling, for another great Harry Potter adventure!

Summary: Funny and scary... J.K. Rowling has done it again!
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire made me laugh and made me cry with it's intricate design of problems for Harry to face. Rowling is a true artist with words. This book can be read again and again unlike other mystery books. I couldn't pry my eyes away from it!
