Rowling said in a recent interview that this was her favorite Harry Potter book so far and I absolutely agree. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a fast-paced thriller that has left me dying to read the next book in the series.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Still going strong! Review: Book four of the Harry Potter series is every bit as good as the first three! Each is a wonderful mystery with surprising twists and hysterical turns. The series really does build as you go along, so you should read them in order or you'll spoil the surprise. Rowling is a great writer. Her books make enjoyable reading for adults, too. That's rare: not many kids books please adults (the Hobbit and Watership Down are the two I'm thinking of).The series is a little bit dark, though--it reminds me of Roald Dahl (James and the Giant Peach, etc.). Book one was great for all ages, but they get spookier as you go along. Book four might be a bit too much for very young kids. (Then again, if you let them read Goosebumps, these books are pretty tame.)

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: J.K. Outdoes Herself Once Again Review: I love the Harry Potter books, and, like millions of others, was counting the days until the release of book four. When I finally recieved my copy, I finished it in one day. Like all the others, it is filled with a mixture of humor, suspense and countless unsuspected turns. If you have not yet gotten your hands on a copy of this book, I suggest you do so very soon.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Good- But no Prisoner of Azkaban Review: The Harry Potter series is one of the most imaginative book series I've read, with the possible exception of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. It has lots of those tidbits that everybody loves- the first and third demonstrated this well, and to a lesser extent, so did the second. But maybe there is such thing as too much of a good thing- this book is swarming with them, and it shows, as the book is a whopping 753 pages- little kids will have trouble lifting it, let alone read it. I don't mind the size so much as the focus- Harry Potter, once again, dominates the spotlight. The story should focus less on Harry and more on the friends. Even Harry's friends complain about this problem. Maybe the next book should be Hermione, Ron, and Neville and the Stolen Publicity. But overall, the book is very good, and will quench the thirst of Harry fans.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Another great book! Review: Hello I don't really care for "fantasy" type books Yet I find myself unable to put down this book I've read the rest of the books, and each one mounts more tension. I was very doubtful at the series when my little sister was trying to get me to read it ("it's about WIZARDS! stop bugging me") but once I started the first book, I was hooked. The reason I like it is because the way it is written and the story, you feel like you are actually THERE, at Hogwarts, as Harry Potter. Books have never done that for me. I put it down and I'm just like: whoa, I'm at home..... This latest book is a little darker than previous ones, it's a lot longer too, but all the better.. more time to spend as Harry! The ending is full of suspence and is spectacular. I was almost shaking with excitement as I read. The author leaves it hanging a little at the very end: I can't wait for the next one to come out! This book was definatly worth my money (the little of it I have.) The hours of enjoyment make it worth every penny.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Darker Shade of Gray Review: Harry Potter has once again managed to foil my best laid plans to read his story slowly and savor each chapter. From the very start I found myself sucked into the Quidditch world Cup, the hints of You-Know-Who's eminent return, and the red-herrings as to who was on which side. ... Those that claim that the book is darker need to look at the facts as they stand: Harry's parents are dead. Many wizards did not survive Voldemort's first reign. There are plenty who would be happy to see the dark days return. None of those is a bright happy thing. The point is that J.K Rowling has given us a character that uses his abilities and morals for good, not evil, despite the "darkness" around him. Overall, the 4th book takes Harry (and the reader) on a more intense emotional roller coaster, complete with thrills and chills. I for one cannot wait until the next train leaves the station!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An even better Harry Potter! Review: I personally think that this is the best book yet in the series. It includes very interesting charecters and has a different atmosphere than the other books more of an older teenage atmosphere. I beleive that this is also the scariest and the most exiting book of the series. It was great! I would like to tell more but I wouldn't want to give it away, so if you want to know more you better hurry and get this book and read it your self.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: As Good as one two and three! Review: This book is just as good as the the previous ones. Rowling has done a great job yet again at suppling suspence for all ages. It keeps you turning the pages. And without realizing it, you make your way through all 700 and some pages ina flash. This is a wonderful book!
