Summary: A Dark Turn in Rowling's Masterful Saga
Review: JK Rowling, with "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," has taken her thrilling series to another heart-pounding level of entertainment. This is perhaps the most intriguing novel of the lot(that's saying a lot--"Azkaban" was nerve wracking). It is jam-packed with so many twists and turns, characters and villains, jokes and romantic interludes to keep you entertained for weeks (it is, after all, over 700 pages) or three days, however you tend to read. I fall in the latter category. I admit I'm in love with Harry. For good reason, Rowling imbues Harry with wit and charm unlike any children's book hero in recent memory. And this book makes Harry even more special and courageous and heroic than ever before. I won't reveal anything important; that would be a shame. But suffice to say, I was kept enthralled for most of the novel (from about 150 pages to the end.) This one does take a dark turn and ends on a somber note, but it does exactly what it should. It keeps the reader in the clutches of Rowling's masterful epic saga. The next three should be stunners. I am holding my breath for Book five. Can I order my copy today?

Summary: I liked it :)
Review: The fourth book of the Harry Potter series makes it clear why the remaining books are necessary. More than any of the others in the series, _Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire_ sets the framework for the series' plot and puts the developments of the other three books into perspective.

Besides all that, the book is great. J. K. Rowling's style seems more confident than ever, and the 700+ pages are just an answer to "I wish it didn't end so soon!" Despite its length, the story doesn't drag, and this is especially because it elaborates so neatly on some of the less conspicuous details in the preceding books. Suddenly house elves (remember Dobby?) take on a huge importance; Scabbers gets even more sinister; and the story of Tom Riddle haunts Harry once again. Plus, we even get some hints into the basis for Voldemort's maniacal tendencies (inferiority complex due to paternal neglect? Yearning for unreturned parental love? Who knows!) Rowling has clearly thought this series out, and Book Four builds seamlessly on everything she's told us previously. Rather than getting bored of the whole Harry Potter craze, you begin to see why seven books are really needed -- in fact, with Voldemort's return to power in this volume, you wonder how the rest of the story could possibly fit into the remaining three books.

I suppose the only complaints I have about this book are that the love angle is somewhat clunky in its treatment, and that, at the end of the book, you do wonder why the insidious insider at Hogwarts had to go to _all_ that effort just to get Harry. But hey. The descriptions of Rita Skeeter, the overzealous news reporter who can turn an "Er..." into a confession of one's innermost (and least-existing) secrets, are hilarious. The scenes that feature Voldemort are truly scary. Harry Potter's path for the next three years is much more clearly defined now. And the length was perfect for me :)

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is an AWSOME!
Review: J.K. Rowling did a incredibly great job on this book. All of Rowling's books are great, but I do have to say that this is definatly her best one yet. It has everthing that have made the previous books good such as Harry's friends, Quiditch, Sirus Black, and of course Harry, but this new book has more! The Goblet of Fire is for everyone, adults and children.

Summary: Harry Potter #4- Worth the wait
Review: For a book of 700 pages plus, I found that I finished it too fast. I wanted it to go on for another 700 pages, and after all that happened, I was left anxious for the next book. After all of the media hype about a character dying, I was pleasantly releived when I came to that part. I also found the new character(s) were very interested and would like to see them in the next books. Some history of certain characters was also very good and answered alot of questions. All in all, I felt that this was by far the best book yet, and am ready for more. Too bad there are only 3 more books to come. It's a must read!

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Review: As I turned around searching my room for an evil wizard, I realized that I was at home and it was only my shadow lurking in the depths of my room. I turned back to the book and began to read the enchanting and bewitching novel, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The fourth book in the series of seven by J.K. Rowling is just as riveting as the first three, if not more. Each of the books in this series is about each year of Harry's life at his school, Hogwarts School of Withcraft and Wizardry. As most of my friends and I agree, this book is enchanting. This 734 page book is definitely a page turner. It supplies you with a great deal of magical yet dangerous creatures, evil wizards, great friends, dangerous life threatening tasks, and an abundant amount of wonderful writing. This book, for all age groups, thrills, chills, and excites its readers through Harry's fourth year. Luckily for me, there were no wizards lurking around my house. Unfortunately for Harry, Voldemort and the Death- eaters are at their dark work again.

Summary: Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire
Review: I think this book was a wonderful and strategic addition to the Harry Potter series. In previous books (as i am sure all of you reading this are well aware and have read all four books..ok maybe all three so far..) Harry has only come to face Voldemort when he was very weak and vunerable thus making Harry's win a struggle but never the less possible. In this book Voldemort comes back into play not in quite full strength but strong enough not to use someone else's body or only be a memory. This book's plot was needed to continue the suspense of Harry's life (otherwise we'd all probably get bored reading that there's always a chance that Voldemort might return to power). It's plot was stirring and kept you on your feet with a little detective work(like in all the books) and of course humor. Ms. Rowling i feel covers all of the genres in some aspect or another in all of the Harry Potter series. She's landed yet another great book. People ask why everyone likes it so much and i think it's because we wish this world could actually exist. Who wouldn't love to be someone else with a little Polyjuice Potion? Her books bring out imagination that this world could use a little more of.So thanks Ms. Rowling for waking us all up! P.S. On page 724 first paragraph there are a set of quotation marks missing.(on my copy anyway) You may find in your book that Dumbledore's speech to the students that begins on page 723 doesn't end with quotations! i'm sure there are many more blunders but this one stood out to me.thanx for reading this and have fun with the book!

Summary: Another wonderful book in the Harry Potter series
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is another wonderful addition to the series. Don't let the more than 700 pages scare you. The story was so well written that it was hard to put the book down. The only downside to this book is that there seems to be an unusually high number of gruesome deaths. This may be O.K. for older children and adults, but may be far to graphic for younger readers. I would urge parents to use discretion. Another well written book by J.K. Rowling.

Summary: Well Worth The Publicity
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is probally the best Harry Potter yet. Many great sub-plots are added into this novel. For instance the Weasley twins and their series of magical novelties had me laughing out loud. Harry Potter is a combination of many different types of writting. It is an Adventure, Fantasy, and Mystery all in one. I hope the next 3 books of the 7 are as good as this one
