Summary: Rowling hasn't lost her touch
Review: The fourth installment of Harry Potter is not only twice as long as any of its predecessors, it also strays somewhat from her established formula. It is still plot driven, but because the plot is much more complicated and the number of characters has increased, I can see why some people may be put off initially. But be assured that Rowling knows what she is doing. It's wonderfully entertaining, and at the same time, provides more emotional fullfillment than her earlier books. The only drawback of reading this book so quickly is that it will be that much longer until the next one.

Summary: J.K. Rowling Has Done It Again!
Review: Harry Potter. These two words can mean so much to the people that read the books. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was everything expected of it: action, adventure, and heart-stopping suspense. And yes it's true; a friend of Harry's does die.

What happens is someone slips Harry's name into the Goblet of Fire to enter him in the Triwizard Tournament, a highly dangerous competition where there is a possibility of death. No doubt is there that someone is working for Voldemort to see that Harry dies in the tournament. Two other students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, other wizarding schools, and Cedric Diggory are chosen to compete. There are 3 tasks they most complete to become winners.

Strange things are happening: Death Eaters (Voldemort's supporters) appear at the Quidditch World Cup, Harry's name is entered in the Goblet, some people go missing, and Harry's scar starts hurting.

Then, at the very end of the last task, Harry finds himself, as well as a friend, in a situation of considerable danger...

(I won't give away the ending)

There are some things I can guarantee: Sirius Black will be apart of the book. Harry won't have a girlfriend (Cho). Hagrid's life story will be revealed. Harry will show such strong bravery unlike any before. And here's an interesting fact: sworn enemies Severus Snape and Sirius black will have a truce. Another important tidbit: Voldemort will have risen, and Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, will not believe he has, so he and Dumbledore go their separate ways.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the thickest yet, will definitely enchant readers everywhere.

Summary: Fantasy, Humor, Excitement, and Harry
Review: I am a twelve-year-old homeschooled girl. I have just finished reading J.K. Rowling's latest book, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." I enjoyed it very much. Rowling has a wonderful way of mixing excellent writing talent, humor, action, adventure, and a great plot to make a superb book. I am glad that she took her time writing the book, therefore maintaining the quality of the writing and of the story itself. There are many authors who try too hard to get sequels out as soon as possible, that they reduce the quality of the story, as well as the writing. Rowling has really out done herself this time. I would highly recomend this book for someone who loves fantasy and adventure as much as I do.

Summary: Long but good
Review: I thought this was a good follow-up to the previous Harry Potter books. However, it took a lot longer to get into the book. I mean, Harry doesn't get back to Hogwarts until about pg 150! The last 200 pages, though, were well worth the wait. I really enjoyed the tournament itself and enjoyed all the twists and turns that occur at the end. The Ministry politics were also an interesting aspect of this book. It is interesting to see that top Ministry officials and Hogwarts staff do not agree on many issues. This book also dealt with some of the darker aspects of the series and had some moments that will be scary for young children. Parents might want to read the book themselves first and decided what chapters or parts their children should read. The author's style reminds me a lot of Roald Dahl and his excellent children's books, including: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, and the B.I.G. I recommend this and the other Potter books to all those interested in fantasy and fiction. If you like the Potter books, you might like authors like Lloyd Alexander or Dahl.

Summary: Why I recommend this book
Review: This book from my point of view is one of JK Rowling's best works. By far it is the longest and most entrancing. It took me hours to read as I started as soon as I got home. Now I have read it 4 times and it is still not boring me as most books do(which proves this is not just a read-it-once-and-leave-to-rot book). I would recommend this to all Harry Potter fans, non Harry Potter fans, children and adults alike as it is just,just........wonderful, magnificent, teriffic, awe-some and all other great words.

I felt this through the well thought descriptive pages with thought put into every single word, sentence, paragraph, chapter. It is an experience that will not be forgotten easily if not at all. Yet you actually can feel the magic of the book, you can be part of the book and you can fell the different expressions, feelings, gestures. Words alone cannot describe this burning feeling for this book and the only way to knnow this is to read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

I hope you will enjoy this book as much as I, and many other people have.

Summary: Worth the wait
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is and outstanding book. I did not read the first until later in its publication, but I could not wait for the second, third and fourth. However long the wait for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was, it has proven to be worth-while. The fourth Harry Potter book does not let down readers, but only encourages them to further involve themselves in the plot. For a teenage reader, such as myself, the way J.K. Rowling addresses Harry's aging is a truthful and overwhelmingly accurate account. Harry is nothing more than a nervous teenage boy when he needs to ask Cho to the dance, simply showing again that Harry is only human when it comes to some matters. Harry Potter and his fourth adventure manages to captivate readers into wanting nothing more than to read more and more tales of this boy's life. I loved the story spun in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and poured though the 734 page book in several hours. Harry Potter is a universal story in which a boy lives. His life may be far from what we know as ordinary, but a life which I, for one, would love to experience.
